He mentioned a Crown Vic as the "other stuff" for the truck. My bet is he's front end swapping it and most likely going with the 4.6 out of a Vic as well so he clearly never cared about the 360 as well as no one else.

Running lean has nothing to do with an engine blowing. Running factory natural aspiration ring end gap on a boosted setup has everything to do with it, I reckon
Now I wanna know how slow my 68’ f250 is 0-60. I swapped a 302 into it and threw in a mild cam. Honestly not sure that little 302 Weil ever measure up to the low end torque of an FE though
So you're going to do a Crown Vic swap on the front end, huh? Nice! I do like your turbo set up. The only concern I'd have is, your spark plug wires being too close to the pipe. Maybe not? I think it would be killer if you eventually turned it into a short bed truck. Time to rebuild that tired old 360 into a 428. I'd repaint that front gravel guard and find a nice grill for it.

What all did you do with the carb to boost prep it? Pulled 1 check valve? Do anything with power valves? An electric inline pump and regulator would save you lots of time/effort as well. And what sized line and fittings did you use for the drain? I bet the motors fine. Just sounds like a fueling and oil drain issue. Guys never read the suggested oil drain size and run into that all the time. Most need a ¾ ID drain.
I’m a diehard Ford man but a 360 is probably the worst motor Ford makes to turbo cause turning that motor over 4500 will be the death of it or if you miss a gear it’s gonna bend some push rods if it doesn’t have some all ready and at that kind of RPM it will start to collapse lifters and robbing some of the oil pressure for the turbo will make them collapse even faster and stay collapsed longer cause it’s gonna take longer for the oil pressure to recover. Get a good 390 and you won’t need a turbo and have all the power that truck can handle safely
I had a 1970 Ford F100 that had a 360 with a 3 speed of the column , compression is up to where it's supposed to be it should be 10: to 1 The smoke looks like gasoline it's flooded, lower your floats in the carburetor.

I caint remember how many gears does it have is it a 3spd or a 4 spd ? Also the red car wasn’t a comaro it was a firebird also maybe fix the lean issue so it dosnt smoke so much

The factory cam timing may be retarded by 6 degrees from the crank...make sure JYD addressed that...varies upon year etc..gotta love early smog controls
Use a racthet strap to pull the bedsides in and weld a couple gusset plates into the lower bedside support where it meets the bedfloor seam and the tailgate will stay up and you cant knock a self oiling Ford idiots in the 80's fixing the leaks is when all these old Fords starting dying

OR maybe just maybe a 4cyl Diesel and 6spd try to get a daily driving good fuel mpg that’s good on power. Id watch that for sure. .. maybe a little less explanations too more just doing it. Boost referenced power valve will fix the WOT lean condition. That way you can have lean cruise but throw fuel at it when boost comes in.

There's an oil feed restrictor fitting on my Hellion setup...the turbo doesn't need 100% of the oil pressure...I didn't hear you mention that part.

I would love to try one of those progression ignition distributors, but sadly they dont make them for the 300s, only for all the V8s.

I think you should stick to efi. Stay away from carbs. It's obvious it's a fuel issue every time you beat on it.

As I recall these came with a C4 auto which is a 3 speed.

Pretty sure you just blow the rings out of the piston with the boost
Looks like you have a sticking needle and seat on your carb.
Put the old distributor and carb back on it and it’ll run another 100 thousand.

Should put the carb on the intake side of the turbo and the boost pipe go into the intake manifold.
