    • @abhibiju1421
      @abhibiju1421 10 месяцев назад +18

      Not bold imo. He could genuinely have a money glitch for a couple years with how much higher a total he has than other 74s

    • @Jamie.0187
      @Jamie.0187 10 месяцев назад

      Not anywhere near all out is crazy, his final lifts moved like 2nd attempts, with 2 of them actually being 2nd attempts, if he has a great day anytime soon he will definitely beat his own record though

    • @Isaiah_McIntosh
      @Isaiah_McIntosh 10 месяцев назад

      @abhibiju1421 nah the money glitch will dry up because of rondel and Ashton. They can basically play the same game which stops any of them from reliably low rolling like that especially for austin since he'll be lifting before all the other contenders for winning sheffield. He'll make bags forever on the individual lifts though 😅.

    • @Jamie.0187

      @@Jamie.0187 lmao RPE 7 means you can do it for 4 reps, not a triple. Also, I was exaggerating and picked RPE 7 to make it obvious. I guess it wasn't as obvious as I thought

    • @sillyme2598
      @sillyme2598 10 месяцев назад

      rpe 7 is different for everyone, what you're talking about is RIR meaning reps in reserve. RPE is more a quantifiable feeling and how the weight moves subjectively. so for someone with an RPE7 that moves at 0.50m/s, other persons RPE7 could be moving at 0.60m/s. basing it on how many reps in the tank left is not applicable for these compound movements, especially since they require more technical efficiency than let's say a machine chest press where you can really tell you got 3 reps left. with free weights + heavy singles it's hard to say you got 3 reps left because of how many things that can go wrong to make you fail after subsequent reps.@@Jamie.0187

    • @__e.then_0318
      @__e.then_0318 10 месяцев назад +7

      Rpe is rate of 'perceived' exertion so it doesn't necessarily mean he can't do a triple if he grinds his reps. Pana is a great example

    I wish I would've been taught how to bench like this in highschool. I'm almost 6'4" with long limbs and 285 is the most I ever put up. I guarantee doing it this way, which is apparently the proper way, makes it easier because every time I would lift my ass off the bench for leverage my coach would push me down and said to quit cheating.

    Actually way back in the late 70s, a powerlifter by the name of Mike Bridges bacame the first lifter at 165 lbs to squat 700 lbs. He squated 722 lbs for a world record. He also benched 463 for a world resord and deadlifted 650 to give him a WR total of 1,835 lbs. A couple of years earlier in the 148 lb class he had lifts of a 622 squat 402 bench and 585 deadlift for a total of 1609. After he dominated the 165 lb class he moved up to the 181lb class and had best lifts of 836 squat 512 bench and 755 deadlift for a total of 2105 !! His best bench was 529 in another meet and his best deadlift was 771. Before Ed Coan came onto the scene, Mike was considered ( according to then used Shwartz formula) pound for pound the greatest powerlifter of all time. So theres some powerlifting history for yall.
