Another banger and crazy speed. Love the interviews at the end too. Would love to see him and Austin go head to head. Can’t wait to see you guys cover more classes from PA Nats
How so? Perk can only beat Russel's Bench and not by much.Perk on a great day goes 325/205/345 so 865, Russ on a good day goes 340/200/350.Not saying that Perkins isn't the better lifter - which he obviously is - but unless something goes horribly wrong for Russ he ain't totalling more than him.
@@nefernoc4361 there’s still time for perk to improve though. Which he’s improved exponentially since usapl nats. He just didn’t take his last bench and dead’s cause he didn’t need to
I think this stamps that Russ isn’t meant to be an 83 anymore and he shouldn’t be. His potential at 90-93 is just so much higher. He will leave the 83s before Joe Borenstein fills out the class and gives him a run.
I think he'd do some insane stuff at 93. Last time he only competed at 90 so he'd still have plenty of room to play with. But nobody will be close at 83. Dude just casually nuked the WR on a day where he was mostly knocking off meet day rust.
@@nextlevel8771not saying he still isn’t by far the best 83 but he’s going from hitting close to 780+ squat and 780+ deads in training to this. I just think it’s a waste for him to not be hitting those types of numbers in comp. If it’s the weight holding him back he should go up.
WADA should be closed, as they prove their uselessness with this ridiculousness in the ipf testing. Anyone who is familiar with the sport will confirm only by the appearance alone of the lifters that there is nothing natural in all this crap.

Austin Perkins and Taylor Atwood beat him easily if they go up weight class.
He is like this in person and brings people together. Pure Class.
This format is fantastic!!
great video production love the interviews too
Looking forward to seeing Russ's fit at worlds
2:15 how is that camera angle useful for judging at all?
Only place you can put the camera while having 3 spotters I would guess.
Russ and john Haack have the best paused bench press imo…no sinking, no pop, no momentum, just pure strength out of the hole
Russ is that guy
These nationals were fckn serious. Insane.
Keep the content coming! Amazing work WLMedia
This sport is about to get exciting as heck
Russ is a goat for 83kg class
Russels total difference from everyone else in the 83’s is unparalleled
Welcome back Russ!
great video well made
Easy work for Russ! 🙌🏾🙌🏾
GOAT
Bravo Bon courage
Goated
What kind of cycle do these guys run???
Even with his cycle you wouldn't lift shit.
In tested feds they usually use things that get out of their system quickly. Test suspension, orals, npp. Stuff like that.
I wouldn't worry about it if I was you. You wouldn't do it and if given the opportunity, couldn't do it.
Borenstein is his only comp and real soon too 👀
If Joe's bulk pushes his squat into the 300s he's got a very good chance of getting close to Russ.
Perk going to out total this man at 74kg
How does it taste?
? austin didn’t attempt his 3rd attempt. He is waiting for sheffield
Maybe

Now all I need is for john haack to return to IPF 83s
Not possible 😂 he aint natty anymore
can he tho? hes very open about his drug use and i thought ipf was "drug free"
So, the jury is allowed to overturn a red-lighted lift, not just 2 whites and red?

185 should say second bench
Dang hehas a bigger deadlift than Ray Williams who competes in 120+
My guy Jurins beat him for the world title 🏆🇨🇩 🇬🇧
are the usapl powerlifting rules different? i thought with squatting your quads needed to be horizontal, but thats clearly not the case here

alright we did it
is this competition drug tested?
Yes but drug tested doesn't mean drug free.
He’s also IPF world champ wich is very strict on drugs
He got 900 in the tank
Y r they lookin at a damn screen to determine if he lifted correctly..?.. wtf..lmaooooo
it’s like a slo-mo review to check depth. can be hard to tell in the moment

Isiah Thomas, what a talent
3rd squat was high clearly his fanbase and media influence helped him
high as fuck
