- The 120kg class at the 2024 British Open Classic Championships was epic. Watch all attempts from Tony Cliffe, Nonso Chinye, Abdul Mojeed and Inderraj Singh in this all time classic.
Commentary from Amelia Potter and Jo Whiteley.
Nonso is going to be one of the GOATS of this sports, hear me out
Ain’t nobody should need to hear that out brother 😂 if he doesn’t get injured he’s got a long way to go
Let's see how long he'll be in the sport. Wouldn't be the first (Sub-) Junior Phenom who's vanished after 2-3 years
I need to compete
I would be unstoppable
@@Reppintimefitness then just do it...
@@maxberg980he seems rly motivated and got ambitious goals
Tony Cliffe is an absolute legend in British Powerlifting and it’s great to see him win another title, but Nonso really is the future. Counting down the days where Tony is on top at this point
nonso is a menace
Love all these guys. Mo so underrated tho. Put up a hell of a fight at only 114kg. Will be interesting to see where he can push it!
I am just happy they found spotters who actually lift for this one. Look at those legs!
What's crazy about this is that they are still so far behind rondel hunte, can't wait for worlds later this year
i thought there was no route for himt o worlds this year
And bobb
Bro rondel aint competing at worlds
What a battle.
Quality of this video was amazing, well put together, huge Thank you!
What a battle though!! Thanks for uploading!
I love what you guys are doing, the only channel I have notifications on for!
Thank you for no spoilers in the title! 🙂
Tony’s the big homie, congratulations to all the champions dope 💯
Excellent video as per usual, love the sheer amount of powerlifting content as well to weightlifting, thanks you guys!
I hate how easy they make 300 kilo look when 200 makes me think I'm gonna die 😂
300 is no freaking joke. I personally squat on my best day 300 KG. I'm also in the 120 kg class. This year, it's going to take everything in me to get my squat up to 325, and that's if the training goes very well.
These weights are not meant for normal people. Even training hard, a normal person isn't supposed to get up to those loads
Absolutely love these videos
19 bruhhh what a large future ahead of him
actually squatting to depth :D
and some really good attempts at true max grinding it out.
The editing is amazing ! No need to skip through.
Good motivation for rest of us :]
Starting squats with 320kg is insane🔥
What a battle man
Going have to get myself to one of these comps. Done a 200kg bench in a local comp with ease.
Love the vid, please keep the tally of totals in the corner tho 🙏 we want to keep track of the totals ❤️❤️
Nonso depth is unmatched well done kid
unbelievable strong guys!
deadlift lockouts be on the edge of what is acceptable tbf
Nonso was coming for Tony’s lunch. I was sweating that last lift 😮💨
For Mo's bench, how can they give a start command and then blue light for elbows? Shouldn't they have asked him to re-rack?
If the side refs give the okay for the starting position, then the center ref has to give the start command even if the center ref doesn't agree the elbows are locked in the starting position
@@MrShugarshane That is such a dumb rule
How is a 19 year old kid this freaking strong
These guys are sick 🫡
FINALLY A NEW VIDEO FROM THE GOAT CHANNEL
I skipped the sumo deadlifts, but all the other lifts are good.
Same
I’ve squatted 300 kg for 7 reps at 11 stone or 154lbs
Powerlifting will just turn into who can deadlift the most. Needs a rule change. Multipliers given to bwnhc and squat imo
Didnt really understand what was happening with the judging for Mo's bench
you can see he didn't lock out his elbow in the video even. they want straight arms at the end
what amazes me is that you are allowed to bump the bar up with your core making it effectively a push press like Tony did. Some guys didn't do that - how much would they do if they were not strict ?
🎉
Damn
My right elbow can't fully lockout. I wonder whether judges take medical issues like that into account.
if you have a medical issue preventing you from competition lifts then you don't compete.
what more is there to it ?
this isn't paralympics
@@agnidas5816 One elbow unable to fully lockout should not prevent a competition lift, after all one has basically pressed the weight.
I mean they allow sumo deadlift which is basically cheating ;)

Drugs work
Squats mostly seem to be to parallel. I guess the judges are lenient here.
Big guys are harder to judge. I've been a high school powerlifting judge in the past. I judged about 24 events in a 6-year span. When you get the bigger guys, it's harder to really tell.
Also, on a borderline attempt, the judge is supposed to give the benefit of the doubt to the lifter.
Lots of drugs here but still freaking impressive.
Haha cope harder
your mindset will forever limit your potential
@@yeetfakeacc6655 I refuse to take steroids, even if i does limit my potential.
It's not drugs all the time dude.
That's your way of preventing yourself from trying something difficult. I personally squat 300 kg drug-free. Add bench press near 200 kg , and deadlifted 290.
I'm in the same class as the guys in this video. And it can be done to a certain extent drug-free.
There is an athlete you need to look up by the name of Paul Anderson from the 1950s, before steroids were even available to athletes. He lifted more raw, then the current equipped world records. You just don't have the ability to wonder add natural freaks of nature because steroids have taken that from you.
@@craigwheeler4760 Sure you're drug free dude with those numbers. I believe you.
Cut the stupid music.
No.
