I have experimented with this "gravity drop" of the arms on the downswing and it does work. One has to keep keep the body structure and keep rotating the body through impact in order for it to be successful!
The easiest drill to encourage the “drop” of the arms is to UNWEIGHT and increase your pelvis flexion (aka squatting action) on the downswing and push the glutes backwards. The lowering of the body at start of P5 will automatically lower the arms to P6 position and once shaft is parallel to the ground, the player Simple’s rotate to impact P7 position to square the club face.
Hi Garry, The typically desired transition order would be Pelvis, Ribcage, Arms, Hands, Club. For some individuals this may change. However in this video here I am referencing more the timing in between the segments as well as the order. In many cases players will have to speed up their arms in relation to other segments to improve their downswing.

Does he think through his presentation before presentation or just ad lib it? Good info.
Haha I try to take the time to plan out but on this occasion I just put the camera up with a topic in mind.
