Hello! I am 14 boy and i just wanted to say that sum41 was my big inspiration to start my own band. And we are now recording an album with pop punk inspiration. I want to say big Thank you you for being such an awesome person for Those years❤
Man, what a freaking marathon gauntlet of a song. To keep up with that when you're not in "touring shape", but just playing in your basement, is beyond impressive dude. Sum 41 was my first favorite punk band, and I still love to air drum along with you to this day.
Probably the best punk song ever written. Many people don’t realize how great of a song writer fat Mike is. And listen to his bass lines in this song. Absolutely amazing while singing too!! Great cover!! The decline is still one of my absolutely favorite songs ever written.
Late to the party on this one. You promised us this video a while back, and I said I would lose my shit if you did it. Consider my shit lost. I was at the shows in Melbourne back in January, and this one was the highlight of the weekend. You're now my favourite RUclipsr. You rock, mate.
I left a comment on franks page saying he and stevo should be on stage in canada together for one last show. His response was "no thanks 😅" im not sure what went down but i wrote off zummo after that. Respect to the og stevo.
At 11 minutes in, the real fun starts.... Well done as only a few drummers who covered this are able to pull this section off... but then again, you're STEVO32 !
The first time i saw sum41 was at reading festival in 2003, I was 13. A drunk guy screamed in my face, "That drummers fast a fuck!". I went home bought your albums and spent all my time learning how to play your songs. Thanks dude.
in vino veritas 😂 I remember that show! Someone threw a bottle from waaaaay back and I saw it coming directly for me... almost like it was in slow motion .. couldn't do anything ... it hit me in the stomach and I just kept going haha... It was actually an amazing show. Huge, wild crowd. Im happy to hear you got into the music! Thanks awesome! Thanks for watching
Watching Stevo playing my favorite NOFX song...Even the trumpet parts... Yeah, the punk rock kid inside this 38 year old tired and depressed adult let off a scream of joy and happiness... Thanks for this, man.
I wasn't even gonna watch the entire thing, it's almost midnight here. But here I am, 18 minutes later, jaw on the floor, promising myself I'll learn it someday. Respect, my dude! Smelly would be proud! And have fun at the show. I got to catch them in May. Hearing The Decline live is a religious experience.
That timing and snare snap. I’d know it was you anywhere - even if it’s not your music! NOFX will always rock! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 Omg, you tossed some trumpet in there!! 😱😱😱
Ha! Thanks! I started toying with it on and off for a while now.. It's hard! But fun! And I wanted to learn an instrument with notes, scales, etc .. I love Miles, Lee Morgan, Chet Baker.. so I got one. Work in progress! Thanks for watching
Of all the people I've watched cover the Decline, you're only the second I've ever seen play the 3/4 (or is it 6/4?) part on the ride bell at the end. Even Smelly has his tech or someone play it. That shit is so hard. AND a trumpet part?! I tip my cap to you, sir.
I saw this video and thought there's no way he played the entire song for us to enjoy. My first ever concert was a Sum 41 concert over 20 years ago. I saw you guys play a couple years after that too and got in a car wreck after the show. Your tour bus was right behind us and you walked out to make sure we were ok. I completely forgot about that until I started watching your videos. Drums sound great by the way.
@stevo32drums haha that's awesome. The car crash was at KFMADAY in Tucson Arizona. Must've been like 2005 or something. Thanks man, good luck with the channel. I know you'll do great!

I hope Smelly sees this. When they played this at the last Chicago night at Riot Fest, my eyes were locked him nearly the whole song just in amazement.
Great job brother! Enjoy the final show with @NOFX. Saw them in Toronto on final tour fighting off the rain. The weather was shit, but NOFX certainly is the soundtrack to many of our lives. Cheers!
That's great! Happy you got to see them (and sometimes a downpour like that during a show makes it super awesome.... but I didn't have to stand through it 😂). Thanks for watching!

It sucked how that forever transformed the song into a "gotta have the strength to listen to it" tune, but it only solidified my respected for the art piece that it is. Hell of a song
Dude, rock on for doing this song! This has always been one of my favorite NOFX songs. It was epic to watch.
Thanks man! It's definitely a mega banger 🤘
This is the longest drum cover I've seen!
Way to go Stevo!
Have a great show on October 6, I hope to see you the last day of Sum's touring!
One of my favourites and for sure my favourite when my kids let me listen to 'just one song' during road trips. The last Canadian show was great! Enjoy next weekend!
Raising them right! That's awesome thank you!
I was edging through the whole video. Fucking neat!
hahah Thanks man!
Isn't edging like when you nearly u know what but don't quite u know what?

Well done sir, it's too bad we didn't have the luck to have you (all of you, NOFX, Pennywise, Millencolin, Lagwagon, Blink 182, Sum41) here in Greece for a live show ...
You will be our last resort , at every stage of our lives !!
PunkIsNotDead!
Best song ever! Good job Steveo!!!
Thank you!
Hope to see you there! Will be there for the last three shows flying in from Texas.
So cool to hear and see you play this one! Excellent work, especially with the bass drum!
Thank you! It took me a minute to get that single pedal going again! Thanks for watching!
Love all these vids! But this is the best one yet!! Thanks #nofx for many great years!
The Decline was one of the most amazing songs/albums ever. Sick episode and drum cover!!!!]
Thanks for watching!
dude this was pure power, I dunno how you kept it all together! Brilliant! Enjoy the NOFX show!
Thank you! I might do an update after the show and talk about what it was like 🤘
@@stevo32drums a show recap would be great I mean the occasion is both monumental and bitter sweet so for posterity and those of use who can’t make it would be gold!
Absolutely spot on. I caught them in London a few months back and got to see the decline one last time! Absolutely amazing
I'm looking forward to seeing it on the 6th! (I hope they play it!)
I was at Brixton too, was epic!
I caught Nofx playing a secret show at Reading festival a few years back. They played a small stage a few hours after their main stage set. Then they played the decline. They they bought out Frank Turner to perform it with them!
That right there was the trifecta of awesome!
That sounds rad! Nice!
Great job 😃
Thank you!
Fuuuu this was fun to watch. Well done!!. That trumpet shot 😅
Thank you! haha!
Awesome!
