This video turned into a real passion project from the moment we started the filming. I hope all of you enjoyed the music, colours and shoots :) it’s been a real pleasure to edit this together with Emil :)
Honestly his shirt would have ripped if he had succeeded and he really wanted to double-toehook the pillar with his fancy shoes. He still knows whats important in life!
Heck yeah You can't let the Nords beat the Swedes..... Albeit you are all legends in your own right and Magnus is a goat. Can't wait for the follow up video.
It's impossible to overstate eric's influence in the swedish, and now larger online climbing space. the quality of his productions make me as psyched as a reel rock clip would.
I love these collabs that show much of what getting truly great at climbing or parcour is getting efficiency, flow and timing into your movement. Super cool to see! Thanks for taking us along!
I feel like the biggest difference is how technical the parkour guys are with there leg strength and foot placement, whereas climbers in general probably have better grip strength
It's so cool seeing insanely talented people with similar, but not identical, skills "compete" against each other. Really highlights what strength each discipline builds in a person.
Someone should develop a “buildering” shoe: comfortable enough to walk around the city, some cushion in the heel for absorbing impacts, adjustable lacing for a snug fit, precise and stiff edge around the toes, smooth sole from ball of foot forward, grippy but non-marking rubber.
As a skateboarder this is really funny way to see someone experience what we deal with everyday but from a different angle. Your content is really enjoyable i cant climb because of injuries but love seeing the sport grow the way it has hopefully you are experiencing some of the love with that will keep supporting for sure!
Your videos are sone insanly well made. The videos suck me in so well and its so pleasent and peacefull to watch. Your gokden retriever energy helps a lot with that as well❤
@@bobbyatopk I thought that face was familiar, then I remembered you're that dude who came to the jam by bike in one of Ilabacas videos. 😁 Nice to see you're still training!
The video quality and pacing is so good it's getting ridiculous! Really enjoy this channel more and more for every video (and it's not that it was bad before), keep it up!
Wow this is incredible. I’ve just started climbing - the channels I’ve started watching are ALMOST as fun as climbing itself. Thankful we can’t actually smell videos, though.
This is like the epitome of technique application. Clearly both sides have incredible talent and the strength to do these things but the techniques just aren't there for the opposite of what each side are used to applying lol
Recently started climbing and I've broken my left middle finger, these videos are keeping me company as I heal up, can't wait to get back onto the wall!
On the one hand you could say like, wow, the difference is big and it's very interesting. On the other, both did so good on both sides, that you could argue with a bit of practice they'd all be really good at both. They're clearly doing a lot better than most amateurs at the very first try, so you know.

This looks crazy effort! The leg explosion for some of these must be insane
Scandi brotha, me again! Remember to let me know next time you're in London, I'll gladly swing by and give you drone video for free just to chill with you. Let me know!
Magdust isn't even that good. It's not "mind blowingly sticky". It's okay at best. It's too expensive and I can get chalk elsewhere for a fraction of the price.
I am here just to give Eric some love in the comments, love your work Erik, it makes my consumption of RUclips content meaningful. And maybe, just maybe a better climber, so thanks to Emil too!
I don't know *anything* about climbing or parkour, but watching these incredible guys, it seemed like parkour *attacks* its target whereas the climber delicately held and became part of the wall he was climbing. For the challenge at 11:30, seems like parkour works better--he even talked about "launching"--whereas the climber, especially at the end, just seemed to stick to or become part of the wall. Very different "look" to a spectator.
Man you really gota try cave climbing. Whole other universe. Especially making your footholds and handholds in limestone as you climb with a 40ft drop and no padding 😅
Great video. I used to love climbing when I was younger, unfortunately I took a 30-40ft drop when free climbing (about 15 years back now) I snapped both my ankles and fractured my thigh bone from the drop and now my head isnt there anymore with heights and climbing... I used to be called monkeyboy, caus I had no fear, until after that day.... 😔
I could see Emil’s disappointment as he couldn’t ascent some of the London parkour style boulder. I think it will be really cool if you did an extended series of videos on you becoming better at Parkour if you are interested. Wonder if that would eventually transfer over to climbing or allow you to set cool routes.
Honestly my dream content would be having a group of climbers and parkour athletes do a collab where they each teach the others some of their skills. Usually they're just tested and either can or can't do it, but I love seeing people put in the effort and actually learn something new while coached by professionals. Toby's done that with Pete, but I've seen those videos so many times by now that I need more of that genre 😄
Suit guy deals in business wherever he goes
most likely it was his childhood hobby , then he left it for work !

The colours are fabulous, they were the first thing I noticed!
It turned out so well! It was fantastic to meet you and hope we meet again for more nerdy lens chats 😅
beautiful colour grading bro
Great work Eric!
Your guys friendship is so amazing to watch, how genuinely you care for each other comes through so clearly. The results are also fantastic!
That guy in the suit is a legend for trying that climb
Honestly his shirt would have ripped if he had succeeded and he really wanted to double-toehook the pillar with his fancy shoes. He still knows whats important in life!
props to the dude in the suit!
It was an honour to climb with you, and please come back (before Magnus) to defeat the urban campus board!
I'll be back soon. very soon...

@@oddpoppetesq.3467 Thought for a second you insulted Magnus before I remembered how goats climb :D
I love how immediately after getting kicked out by the police they go the spot right in front of the police station.
15:49 that guy checking out what you just got up and shaking his head hahaha
The quailty of Emil's videos are always great but ERIC is such a great film maker. you can always tell when he's heavily involved.
The framing is nice.
As a norwegian i got so happy when you didn't beat Magnus
The war has begun.
@@EmilAbrahamsson Even if you had gotten one of them, Magnus would still be like "But do you even oil bro?"
@ the worst part is that with all the businesses he runs I wouldn’t be surprised if he owns part of an oil rig

That last pink boulder was gorgeous, props to the setters!
I tried in August and got halfway up, it's weird seeing beta for it now lol
The one befoe that was also very fun!

I mostly agree but I think parkour is more about dynamic foot work. Emil’s feet placement looked much better while climbing.
15:40 the guy in red checking over the edge to see how he got up there 😂
It's so cool seeing insanely talented people with similar, but not identical, skills "compete" against each other.

color grading so pretty in this props eric!❤

in love with the crossovers and seeing everyone happy to just climb
The title changed halfway through watching the video just as the police turned up, haha
3:43 shots are art!

Was neat to see solid proof that both parkour and climbing are skills that can't just be cheated. Great work from all involved. Was a fun watch.
Love the color grading and music on this video ❤
These guys are awesome. Love the collab!!
YES!!! I am so happy you guys have finally colaborated. Great group of guys and a very enjoyable video. Well done everyone and thanks.

Everyone who gets sponsored by them pronounces it differently too
Buildering is so friggin cool, and a shame that you guys didnt get more attempts at cornetto.
