      I guess they slowly came in on corals frags. They do a great job at feeding the fish over time 😂🤣

      Thank you so much. Your right mate, I need to do more 10 minute pick up and shoot videos and care less about the planning and endless editing, which puts me off to be honest. A nice mix is key. Thanks for watching and commenting, it all helps the channel. 🙂. Hope to see you in the next one.

      If I'm being honest after 6 months, I don't have the light on very much. It pushes the PAR a little too high and the disappointing aspect is that you can't dial the light down. It's either off or on! I use it for photography or for half an hour when I want to see the coral pop. It's always on when I record my videos. Hope that helps. See you in the next video. 🙂

    Hope you & all the family are well fella?
    That Acan 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 wow , all the corals looking great .
    Agree with Paul, we want a sun coral update, care video 👍🏻
    Mines looking good except for a diatom bloom on the bloody sand bed , not sure if it’s my source water or what, haven’t changed anything my end 🤷🏻‍♂️ catch up Friday if not before.

      Love it when people give me video ideas...save me thinking 😂. Well I bloody love the sun coral, so I could easily do a little video on that. I think I love it more than the Goni's now 🤔. Mate, definitely catch-up on Friday. Really appreciate your loyal support of the channel. Hope all is well with your reef?

      @@jaysrealreefuk touch woods everything looks great in mine well corals & fish but I’ve got a diatom bloom on the sand bed & haven’t changed anything or added anything to the tank… Need to send off an icp, not sure if source water or what… I’d dosed some bacteria for now & added a bag of silicate remover just in case , either wait for it too burn itself out or maybe do the 1-3 day lights off 🤷🏻‍♂️ but live stock looks great, strange one this hobby at times… Pleasure mate , appreciate the content you guys put out , keep up the good work & I’ll keep my eyes peeled for the sun coral video 👀.

    Those goniporas are looking fantastic. My waterbox is 15 days off a year old. For the first 4 months I kept the lights off and crammed it with copepods. Since then I have never had an algae issue, unlike my first tank.

    • @jaysrealreefuk
      @jaysrealreefuk  Год назад +1

      That is the way to do it mate. I will use a similar approach with my next time. Patience and being meticulous is key in this hobby. What you can't see is more important than what you can see in a reef tank. Can't have enough copepods, I topped mine up yesterday with 4 bags. 2 in the display and 2 in the sump. My favourite at the moment are Goni's or the Sun Coral. Thank you for watching and commenting. Hope to see you in the next. 🙂

    • @jaysrealreefuk

      Very good question, perhaps should have mentioned that on the video 🤣🤣. For all 4 in this nano it was about 14 to 16 months. Some really well balanced healthy reefs may achieve this milestone at the year mark or so. Thank you for watching and commenting. Hope to see you in the next video. 🙂
