Goodness...it was a while since I made the DD lid. Absolutely love my DD lid, it was a little tricky to build, but a very sleek design and doesn't retract from the beauty of your tank and corals. I think it will be my go to for lids for any future tanks. Thank you for the comment mate 🙌🙂. See you next Sunday 👍
Thank you so much for the sub and following the channel. Hopefully it brings some light relief in lockdown! Really appreciate your kind comments. Take Care.
One thing D-D have omitted in the instructions but the reps recommend is that you seal all cut ends of the frame pieces with black nail varnish. This is help reduce the possibility of tank water getting under the plastic coating on the frame and making it peel.
I'm loving following along on your journey! Great channel keep up the good work! Also in regards on how to save your marriage re the super glue... buy some acetone it will come strait off without damaging the work top unit. Had to do it many times :)
That is an awesome tip. Thank you for helping me. I have it on the desk upstairs aswell. 🤣😂. My wife is a beautician, I can't believe she didn't think of that! Thank you for following the journey and cementing. What tank do you have?
@@jaysrealreefuk Not a problem! Ahh thats awesome then she should have some to hand I guess in the form of nail polish remover? I've tried with cheap nail polish remover and it didn't work I had to buy 99.9% acetone from ebay. Not a problem, you make great content and really looking forward to see you progress. I have a red sea reefer 250 deluxe, its been running around a year now and before that I had a read sea max 130 :D
Awesome job on the DD cover. Was looking at the red sea version but after your effort on this it has given me alot to think about. Keep up the vids it's always a pleasure to watch. 👍👏😁
Makes it so worthwhile if a few people enjoy watching. Thank you. I was very impressed with the DD jump lid, sits flush with the tank..inline the discrete look, because I didn't really want a lid. It's a very sleak design. Take Care mate. 👍
Awesome yet again, great skills building the Jump Guard which is defo required! Congratulations on getting over 200 subscribers, well deserved and loving the Journey. I now have a Clownfish pair again and they are very happy together. Look forward to the next update. Keep it going you are doing a great job. P.S. Lego is fantastic!
Thank you so much my friend. You have followed is from the start. I'm loving the new DD jump lid, didn't really want a lid, but it's a must really. Delighted to hear your clown fish has a friend. Hope they are settling in well. Take Care and enjoy your Sunday 😊.
Was a toss up between the DD lid and the Red Sea version. The Red Sea version just seemed cheap and wasn’t sure I could get the DD jump guard here in the states but I found it and it’s coming Monday! Gives your tank a nice finished look! 👍🏼
Goodness, I never even thought about that! 😬 I will try and test the PAR with and without the lid. Thank you for following the journey and commenting. Take Care.
@@jaysrealreefuk I you are lucky you can borrow a PAR meter so you dont need to make the expense, if you cant borrow that meter, just change it to a transparent mesh after puting corals so you know you are getting the potential of your lights thats it. Take care and be patience 👍🏼
i heard about you from Nathan, always interesting as is yours, i did mine from guesswork, shame i wasn't into youtube at the time, keep up the good work
Thank you. Nathan was my original inspiration with his Red Sea Max Nano. Live his channel. You Tube is so good for learning all about reefing! Power of RUclips and the community around it. Thank you for following our journey. Take Care.
Didn't even know that existed, but that's good and very affordable. However I have an upgrade lid on the way. Supposed to be for Christmas, but its very delayed! Hope you are well mate. Thank you for taking the time to comment. 🙂👍
Bloody hell that's lucky. I'm wanting to get a blue spot jaw fish and I've heard they like the carpet! Thank you for your kind words about the video. Take Care mate. 👍
Congrats on getting 200 🎊👍 Should get on UltimateReef and do a build thread, great for advice and I'm sure you'll get a good few extra subs from there.
Good choice on the DD jump guard Jay, nice neat finish and will keep the fish safe. I love Nathan's channel too, the only reason I got into the hobby was from watching his channel. If you come up to York, you need to go and check Ocean Corals and reptiles out. They have an amazing display tank in the shop.
I will certainly take a visit to Ocean Corals and Reptiles after this lockdown. It would be great to visit and add it to the channel. Thank you for the recommendation. 👍
Thank you for taking the time to comment and show your support. Glad you are enjoying it mate. I'm abit if a dinosaur when it comes to Instagram. 😂 I have an account but hardly use it! Do you have an account I can follow? Would love to see your tank and setup. Take Care. 👍
Just looking at cover options and this was really useful 3 years on. Cheers Jay.

Hello, subbed on recommendation. 🤪
Thank you so much for the sub. Mean alot. We've followed you back. We hope you like the channel. Take Care 👍
Hi Jay been watching your videos , i would recommend you to change the mesh to a transparent one , the black mesh may lower your PAR.

For some reason, I can't get the link you shared to work. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong here? 😊

Look at the D-D feeding portal to add to the jumpguard
