No mate, first ever one. Never had a fish tank. Researched how to set one up in COVID lockdown 1 and started it in October 2020. I wanted to give the hobby a go. The beauty of this hobby is it is as simple or complex as you want to make it. Thank you watching and commenting. Do you have a reef tank? How's it going?

Thank you. Yeah, Tunze are fantastic and my LPS corals have suffered for the last 2 weeks without it working. I use the pulse mode aswell, i agree it's brilliant. Yeah, cleaning the glass makes a massive difference to the reef, but it's a ball ache 😂😂. Will definitely document all my reef tanks on the channel, a 3/4 footer would be amazing for me next. How's your tank getting on mate?

@@jaysrealreefukMine is doing great atm, I'm about two weeks into Red Seas New 4 part dosing, first dosing on my tank & system so keeping a eye on it atm. Calcium is up from 380 to 460 Mag up from 1280 to 1350 Only thing I've noticed is my alk has gone from 12 to 15 😳but will probably dial back on that for the next week & see. Can't complain tho love my Tomini Tang & the hobby massively 👌🏼

Mate, this makes it all worthwhile with the you tubing. I love the nano tank reefing hobby and hopefully other people give it a go. Keeping it simple and having fun. How's your tank getting on mate?

@@jaysrealreefuk very well I think, just a few soft corals (zoas, mushroom, cloves…) and recently got my first lps (Duncan and candy cane). A few patches of diatoms here and there but soon to be gone as I’m slowly getting my parameters where I want them.

@@morgan-de-moi sounds like you are well on track there. Some lovely corals you've picked. Keeping an eye on the parameters and a 10% weekly water change are key as you know 👍.

This is my least watched video, but definitely one of my favourites to make. Rook pooling with the family is just the best free fun ever. We love it. Not ideal for me living in Derby 😂😂

My tank is LPS dominat so it likes nutrients for coral colouration. Phosphates I like to keep between 0.03ppm and 0.10ppm. Nitrates are between 5 to 10ppm. Weekly water change keeps these in the range for me. Hope that helps mate 👍

@@Coral-reef. Hope you are all good. I run a Radion XR 15 Gen 5 on the LPS template at 55% intensity. I also run the ReefBrites for 3 hours in the evening on blues for some extra coral pop. Hope that helps 🙂

😂😂 everyday is a learning day. I use the Nitrate Salifert test now, so much better. I've also learnt that as long as nitrates are less than 20ppm I don't need to worry. This minute digital analysis of nitrates is not needed for a nano reef tank. What do you use to rest nitrates? 🙂

I agree mate. These nano tank are notorious for having parameter swings, but the doser has kept my tank far more stable. Thanks for the watch and comment 🙂

Haha...😂😂 I believe they sold about 2700 tickets in total and 2500 must have been RUclipsrs 😂😂. Lots of people now have social media which is a brilliant way to document your tanks journey over time. I somewhat agree, the Radion light is a luxury upgrade and the Reef Led 50 is a good light, also I could have gone for cheaper test kits such as the Salifert, they work just as well. The rest I would stand-by. The stock ATO is too small and the dosing pump has kept the parameters stable on this nano for 4 years. Red Sea all in ones are a brilliant tank and I would also buy these bits of kit second hand which can save a lot of money too. I've enjoyed the hobby so much with this setup, but I would advise anyone to make their own decisions when starting out. I wouldn't change what I bought, but also don't just follow a RUclipsr.
