    That looks so addictive❤. Do you use the skimmer for the tank btw? If yes which one are you using?

    • @jaysrealreefuk
      @jaysrealreefuk  Год назад +1

      Such a rewarding hobby and collecting corals is so addictive like you say. Especially LPS corals ✨. I use the stock Red Sea skimmer which is brilliant. It comes with the all in one reef. I run it for oxygenation of the water, but remove very little nutrients as I empty the cup once every 3 weeks. The higher nutrients give more coral colour. Thank you for watching and commenting. Hope to see you in the next video 🙂

    Great to see another vid Jay. Totally agree on the GSP, they're gorgeous and my own GSP wall is coming along great too! The Raja Rampage and Torches are just stunning, you've done an amazing job with such a small space and the contrast of colour and types is fantastic. Where did you get the lobster eggs? All the stores I've been visiting have been out of stock for months

    • @jaysrealreefuk
      @jaysrealreefuk  Год назад

      What! 👀 they've all run out of lobster eggs. Such a great particulate food as you know the coral and fish love it. I've had them lobster eggs about 9months, best make them last even longer 😂🤣. GSP, mate such a beautiful coral and super cheap. I will have it in every tank. Thanks for watching and hope to see you in the next one 🙂.

    Greetings friend from California your tank is beautiful. I have the peninsula version of that tank. I was watching your other video about how u said you love the skimmer and said it fills up every 3 days with skim? Would you mind sharing how you have yours set/ adjusted ? Thank you in advance

    • @jaysrealreefuk
      @jaysrealreefuk  11 месяцев назад

      Wow! California 🙌 what a beautiful part of the world, it's great to see the channel reach an American audience. In the early days I used to empty the skimmer cup every 3 days. Now I have the weir gate pushed much lower, so I only need to empty the skimmer cup once every 10 days to 2 weeks. It keeps the nutrients much higher for the corals, which is helping them thrive. Hope that helps. If you need anything else just give me a shout. Thank you for watching the channel and commenting. 🙂

    Jay, great video. Thank you. Question... What do you recommend the lighting schedule be with the reefled50? Should I use one of the default red sea programs? 3 fish and 1 zoanthid in my tank....any advice appreciated.

    • @jaysrealreefuk
      @jaysrealreefuk  11 месяцев назад

    Do your torches sting other corals? i have a nano set up too and was wondering how you managed it? thanks, great tank :D

    • @jaysrealreefuk
      @jaysrealreefuk  Год назад

      Yeah the torches sting everything they touch and always come out on top. I frag them from time to time to keep them from killing everything. Interestingly though when the torches to the goni's they seem fine 🤔. With good positioning you can easily have 2 torches and plenty of other corals and you will be fine. Thank you for watching and commenting. Hope to see you in the next video. 🙂

    Brilliant update , perfect timing, also do you do any testing at all ? I have a nano reef waterbox cube 10 and doing weekly water changes and going great but doing no testing 😅

    • @jaysrealreefuk
      @jaysrealreefuk  Год назад

      Great little tank that Waterbox nano. Sounds like it's all going well without the testing. Weekly 10% water change is key. However, I do test Alkalinity every 3 to 4 days to ensure that is stable. I test nutrients every couple of weeks using the Hanna checkers. I will also send of a full ICP test every quarter. Hope that helps mate. Thanks for watching and commenting. 🙂
