Johnathan Banks is great, he brings a seriousness to the series, brings a crazy series down to earth a bit

Abed saying "I'm a sexy cat" lives rent free in my head, it might be the funniest moment for me in this entire series. I love these later seasons so much, glad y'all are still loving this series!
You like season 6? Interesting. There are only a couple episodes I enjoy.
I literally can't hear the word "cat" without hearing him saying that, and you can imagine how often that happens.
Hickey was orignally supposed to be played by Ray Liotta, but he backed out and they went with the great Johnathan Banks. Banks crushes this role, but would love to see the alternate version of Community with Liotta in the role
I think the late Ray Liotta had a soap opera/ prime time tv older man face which would have given a less genuine feel in the context of this show.

I think the Neil moment is a good example of what was missing in season 4, the chaos that is community. Where minuses being made up sparked a whole riot lmao

That's how you use Dani Pudi, letting him cut loose and show his range. Season 4 was mostly Abed's greatest hits remixed
I love every episode where Professor Sean Garrity appears, he’s great. I’m pretty sure it was in one of the commentaries, I think it was his last appearance in Season 2, Dan Harmon said he wanted Kevin Corrigan to play this part so badly that Dan actually paid to fly him out. Glad he could return for the Nick Cage episode 😂. Always Be Cageing. My new life motto.

Aside from pretty Abed’s entire breakdown, there’s three parts of the Nic Cage class scene I really love.
1) Britta’s contribution being immediately cut off by Prof. Garritty, just the quickest and funniest attempt to shut her down in the show.
2) His immediate reaction to Abed entering in a disheveled state, with a clear indication that he’s familiar with the signs of a Nic Cage overload.
3) Britta having an oddly interested reaction to Abed’s “I’m a sexy cat” routine.
The teacher saying "That was brilliant" is my favourite joke of the show.
I can't wait for Eric's reaction to next episode 👀
Also, this episode's tag is probably my favourite of the whole show. 😂😂

One of the all time best episodes of Community! We get introduced to Buzz Hickey, perfectly played by Jonathan Banks (a character as great and sometimes even better than Pierce). We see Jeff evolve into a surprisingly good teacher. And we see Danny Pudi give one of the greatest performances in tv history as he channels the soul of Nicolas Cage! Seriously he should’ve gotten an Emmy for that scene alone.
If you look at the video's chapter titles, I love how every other one is about Nick Cage. Talk about Nick Cage, talk about another episode topic, back to Nick Cage!

Peesonly I have a fan theory that after Mike got shot he actually survived and just went to work for Greendale. It's one of my favorite parts about season 5 of Community they totally play off the fact he was in breaking bad lol

One of the greatest episodes of TV ever and I will not be convinced otherwise. Jonathan Banks as the new Pierce. Sean Garrity returns. A conspiracy among all educators to fake the grade A-. The Dean absolutely failing to learn Excel resulting in a week straight of meatball lunches and a bafflingly random outro song in French. Always. Be. Caging. And a legendary end tag. TV at it's absolute finest.

This is my absolute favorite episode of the whole series. Both plot lines in the episode brought such good performances out of the actors and such good content for the characters. It's a masterpiece.

This is a top 3 episode across the series for me - you can REALLY feel the momentum Harmon came back with after the "gas leak year".
A real hidden gem of a Cage movie is Trapped in Paradise. Great comedy
The next three episodes are AMAZING.
If they do Cage movies I hope they also do Adaptation, Raising Arizona, Kick Ass, The Death of Superman Lives and Teen Titans Go to the Movies. I wonder if he was thinking of Leaving Las Vegas or Honeymoon in Vegas...

I started this show after watching Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul so seeing Jonathan Banks here was an awesome surprise! To me, it feels like he took all that energy from Mike to give us a hilarious character with Buzz Hickey and I was all in after his first scene!

There have been more than just Gus and Mike. Badger was in a couple episodes in the first season. Spoog was in an episode in season 3. I believe there was at least one other actor who was in both.

When I think of season 5, I obviously think of episodes 3-5. I always forget how good this one is
Season 5 is severely underrated. The first half of the season is brilliant, and while the second half tails off a bit, it still has that outrageousness we all love in the show. But episodes 2-5, particularly 3 and 4, are S tier episodes. And then, I think its episode 8, proved the show could still put out a classic over the top campus takeover episode without Troy, with the Meow Meow Beanz episode.

I am onboard for a year of Nick Cage.
To me it's absolutely fucking nuts that Breaking Bad exists in Community canon, and therefore presumably Jonathan Banks & Giancarlo Esposito also exist as real people in Community canon, and at the same time there are two people who are completely identical to Jonathan Banks and Giancarlo Esposito who exist in Community canon.
You guys should definitely react to ALL Nicolas Cage movies.

This episode got so many genuine belly laughs out of me, it re-captured my love for the OG seasons. The Nicholas Cage B-plot might be my favorite of the entire show to date. Danny Pudi nailed it.

If you guys are serious about a watching all of Nicolas Cages movies, even his older stuff, there's a Canadian DVD called "The Boy in Blue" that he starred in that isn't on Blu Ray or regular DVD and I can't find it anywhere else. If you're interested, I'd be willing to send it to you all via your fan mail. Also, Cage is technically in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" as well, but he was still Nicolas Coppola back then, and was in maybe one scene. Additionally, his acting debut as Nicolas Cage was in an unaired TV pilot called "The Best of Times" that came out in 1981 and never got picked up by network tv.
