CO is actually lighter than air, so monitors should be placed high. But also, the specific gravity of CO is so close to normal air that they mix well, so it doesn't really matter where it is located in that small space.
Something like this is what i wanna build for my tundra.... 6'5'' bed on mine would make mine around 1' 1/2 longer if im not mistaken, and id probably add the length or at least half of the backdoor too. love the idea of a higher ceiling and using the space oover the roof to make the bed.
What exactly did you use for the cedar ? You said it’s cedar fence but it looks so smooth compared to the cedar fence planks I see at Home Depot. Did you sand them down? Polyurethane? Epoxy? I really like this camper I think I might build my tacoma camper similar to this.
Yes they are just cedar fences from Home Depot. I used polyurethane outdoor coating to weatherproof it more. If you are really considering building this you can find all the details and the material used on the tutorial guide on my website.
Nice work! Love the cedar planks on the outside. Just a safety note, your carbon monoxide alarm should be near the floor since it heavier than air and it will sink to the bottom.
@@enguerrandbonnet219 Hey FYI that whole CO is heavier than air thing is an urban legend. CO is actually slightly lighter than air: www.epa.gov/indoor-air-quality-iaq/where-should-i-place-carbon-monoxide-detector Honestly shouldn't matter in such a small space. Consider just putting it close to your pillows maybe.
Carbon monoxide mixes freely with air in any proportion and moves with air via bulk transport. Because carbon monoxide is lighter than air, it rises with warm air and diffuses evenly throughout a room. This means that carbon monoxide detectors can be placed on the ceiling or on a wall about five feet above the floor.
Ok, thanks for that. I have a 6.5 foot bed Tundra and its a fine truck. i guess its a bit bigger than the Tacoma. But, i think ill build it to the Tacoma dimensions in case i someday get a Tacoma.
Can you safely drive 55MPH along the highway? I dont think so. Have you considered all forces and engineering? I dont think so. However, good luck with not being a "youtube disaster" video
Love it and the fact that you included the plans! Best wishes on your trips and that this channel blows up 👍🏼
This is very practical camper, just about what we need to stay warm and cozy.
Looks great man! See you out there on the road!
Thanks! Your build is amazing and definitely inspired me but I had to make something a lot lighter for my truck!
What was the cost for y’all to build it
How much does it weigh
Where did you get the trailer jacks? Really cool build.😊
Thanks for the inspiration to build a truck camper. Just started my project you had some great ideas.
Great job !! Do you know the weight of the camper before people and goods loaded on board please ?
Love it! I am absolutley inspired to build one on my chevy. Thanks!
Me too :) How big is your bed?
Thanks for sharing. I love it. Enjoy your time in your camper.
What are the jacks called/brand of them?!
I found metal "peg board" that also has the diamond plate design on it - would blend in wonderfully w/ your fireplace!
Very cool. Space is open but also used wisely. This would be a good one to model mine after...with a couple minor differences.❤❤
Very nice build. Greetings from sunny Jamaica.
May i suggest you take that carbon monoxide alarm neat the ground. CO2 is heavier then air.
Yes I didn’t know that at the time, thanks!
What's CO2 (carbon dioxide) density got to do with CO (carbon monoxide) density? Even if they're both NEAT the ground :o)
I stand corrected. Those CO monitors need to be put low to the ground as it is heavier then air.
Yep by the time that goes off might be to late.

Lol! That should have been an exclamation! Great job!!
Very nice, clean, and precise
Great job? Lots of clever ideas!

JACKS??? Where did you buy the camper jacks?
It’s a great build Enge, impressive! I kind of want one now too :)
Great build! How wide is the camper? Wondering how far it overhangs the box. I have a tacoma and want to build one myself
It does not overhang the box, you can close the tailgate.
@@enguerrandbonnet219 no sorry I meant the other way, across the width of the truck overhanging the sides
Beautifully designed! Bring it to the Sunshine Coast soon ;)
This is soawesome! Any estimation on what it would cost?

I’ll check out your website. Home depot only has rough cedar fence boards and the cedar on your camper looks like it’s been planed and sanded.
ive seen you around town! just posted a video of my build.... ive actually parked next to you at Seymore before
Saw your video. Nice build.
What exactly did you use for insulation? And has it worked well?
Nice build. Curious why you didn’t choose to go with a full-sized door?
Thanks! So I could still use it with the tailgate closed ;)
Just ordered the plans by the way...amazing detail !!
Glad you like it! feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions!
I can't wait to see the plans so I can try to make one! :)
Très beau camper !
Why not finish the inside?
Where did u get the wood fire stove.
I found the stove on Facebook Marketplace, however I highly recommend this company: ookpiktinywoodstoves.com/
Thxs how much did it cost U to build

Thanks for the feedback, will definitely place it near the floor in the future!

Hi-i bought your plans. What did you do to protect the base in the truck bed from water that will get in there?
Hi Scott, good luck with the built! I used a combination of black outdoor pain with a finish coat of truck bed coating.
Ok, thanks for that. I have a 6.5 foot bed Tundra and its a fine truck. i guess its a bit bigger than the Tacoma. But, i think ill build it to the Tacoma dimensions in case i someday get a Tacoma.

How do you figure any of those assumptions?
Sounds more like jealousy to me
Ese es un sueño para mí para escapar de la violencia que vivo en casa
Love it!
