Hats off to this guy. Hes a better father than I am lol. I love my family but wouldn't be able to cram myself in a camper with them like that. Id go crazy!
There’s something magical about truck camping. It brings me back to my childhood. It’s reminds me of making couch cushion forts, building tree forts in the canyon & camping, all built into one. Tent camping is fun, RV camping is overkill but having your own transportable cubby hole is just irreplaceable ✌🏾
I just saw his van on a meet-up (in Ontario?) on Chrome’s Van City Vanlife channel My dad and grandfather build our truck cabin on an International Harvester in Montana when I and my little brother were kids (1970’s). Four people, a dog and a cat lived in it almost full-time. We had several friends with beautiful truck cabins that we saw often on our traveling. Great channel btw.
Nice build! Thanks for sharing it! It'd be fun to go to truck house camping meet up someday! dozens if not hundreds of truck houses all hanging out in the wilderness! Like a burning man for truck houses! No sprinters allowed... Hopefully it'll be during a time when diesel is waaaaaayy cheaper though!
He may be nervous about it he just don't know you two are the most coolest trucks on the road right now you can go anywhere in the world you want to and still get to go home at the end of the day absolutely awesome thank you for sharing🏆🏆
It's a great build, but I think it needs two timber brackets on the overhang for extra strength and ascetics. Also, I would put some auxiliary tail lights up high on the back sides to let overtaking lorries see it's wider than the truck tail lights.
Looks like he’s running the same diesel heater I am in my cargo camper trailer, the controller looks just like mine. I love to see how everyone figures out how to make things work. Pretty cool rig.
This is kind of like checking out someone else's Bobhouse while out ice fishing. It's always cool looking at how other people solved similar challenges.
Tim, I managed to miss this video...whenever you meet most people, you seem to be a very humble person! It is great that travelers open up to you and choose to share part of their lives with you...very cool! I am holding out hope that in the future you might aspire to be like Charles Kuralt. I used to love to watch "On the Road with Charles Kuralt." I know when you take a chance and tell stories about the homeless or even those on the fringe of society, it can become controversial. All I know is that I think you would great at chronicling your adventures and I am sure there are so many human interest stories that you stumble upon that would be very interesting? Anyhoo! It is always cool to see other people's creative house-builds. :)
Really cool camper makes me wonder why anyone would buy one of those expensive campers unless money is not a concern or your not able to physically do it. I cant build crap but I am thinking of trying to build one of these truck campers.
Trending now....lol With the cost of Vans....(Crazy) and to be honest, alot cozier, woodstove replaced by AC in summer, solar, and oven to cook MAC and Cheese....etc....its just the Weight thing...lol Another cool Video, thanks for posting!!!
I can see it now. Timmy is planning on putting an addition onto his Truck House. You could always put a second story on it.😉 It does look good, both of them. If you end up getting married, I could maybe see you doing something drastic, but that truck house and you are joined at the hip it seems.
My guess is a truckbed pull behind. You know for the littles. Lol. Or I could see a School Bus conversion, for the wife and 5 kids. Not sure how I ever found this channel but it is one of my faves. Keep it up Sir.
Tim, your camper is very awesome! This guy built a really nice camper, but your's is much more user friendly. You have a full set up to cook and build a fire.
Congratulations on hitting 100k subs. You're in the big time now. I've wanted to build a camper like yours but on a trailer with an attached garage for snowmachine or wheeler
Because most people living like that stay at parks and places where showers and toilets are available in texas as a disabled person u can stay 2 weeks at a campsite for like $100 and they have showers and toilets available its a sure way for low income to live i been doing it myself for 2 years its peaceful and way less stress no bills barely can actually spend ypur mo ey u get on yourslef and your vehicle travel around great
Best trucks ever made were mid 90's Ford 7.3 and Dodge 5.9 Cummins. Forget the Chevy diesels, but their gassers were good. As a neat bonus, those mechanical diesels will drink filtered motor oil or vegetable oil if you wanna save $$$
Do u have any tutorials on how to build ur home?? There's not much tutorials on u youtube . I wanted to build my home like this please and thank u have a bless day
Those are not full-size beds, they are twin beds. Also, there’s no way that camper is 10 feet wide. It would need a “wide load “ permit every time he drove it.
truck house mopars with a cummins! only thing better would be a 5 or 6 speed manual with exhaust brake... Can you say ultimate truck house crawler, especially with the exhaust brake on in granny first in 4 low creeping down a steep hill... who needs brakes! :)

Yea cause you'll be the next rack!
Right on thanks again Tim truly humbled by your video and the time we had to chat. Hopefully meet up on the dusty trail again soon. ✌️
Was great meeting you guys and was awesome touring the rig!! See ya out there!
I saw this guy up in Algonquin back in early August!
It was awesome!!
Drove from Ontario to vancouver island ✌️
I put a link to your channel in the description bud, hopefully it helps a bit:)

Big congrats on reaching 100k. Never saw anyone work so hard and have more courage. You deserve to be where you are and more!

awesome camper good tour getting ideas for a 6x8 trailer build I'm going to build soon
Looks cozy. Camping always sounds like fun until the weather turns.
In the states you can't go wider than 101 inches I'm not sure about in Canada but I bet they have a restriction on width.
I was thinking that too. He'd need an overwide permit to drive it anywhere, but I guess most people wouldn't notice it.
Trending now....lol With the cost of Vans....(Crazy) and to be honest, alot cozier, woodstove replaced by AC in summer, solar, and oven to cook MAC and Cheese....etc....its just the Weight thing...lol Another cool Video, thanks for posting!!!
There would be ways to build and keep the weight down
Seems like a nice genuine soft spoken fellow
He was:)
Great job.Two double beds..very smart and comfortable.👍

Wow that extra foot on that truck house makes a big difference.
Super cool. Flip down stoppers are the best !! 🤣
I saw a few nice ones on the peninsula this summer too.
I think yours is outfitted much better. 4 kids, did you say? That would be fun!
Awesome!! Need to build mine up!
Congratulations on hitting 100k subs. You're in the big time now. I've wanted to build a camper like yours but on a trailer with an attached garage for snowmachine or wheeler
I would say you build your camper very nice.
Dodge Mahaul ! Love the name
Red Fowler checked out your channel
Hi Timmy, nice tour.....good thinking of the guy...
But seriously your crib is more homey
That give me an idea for extra anchorage on my thow.
I’ve probably got over kill already, but one can’t be to sure.
Team, tiny truck house. Love it :)
I loved that I think you both have the best set up
I see a Tim Horton’s cup and Sealtest 10% creamer there. Must be in Canada
And the bag of Ketchup chips (so good!)
He has everything but a porch and kitchen and fire and vent lol. Cool built
Question: How much does it wiegh and with it constructed how does the truck handle at normal hwy speed?
Really sweet rig !!!
hello! I saw you in the Columbia River Gorge a few weeks back!!! White Salmon WA!!!
Yup!
Your house going to be amazing when done 😊
Pretty cool is a fitting description!
I like your set up better cause u left room for tool boxes on both side.
Omg the weight of those things must be phenomenal! Nice builds tho
สุดยอดครับ.Very good.
That's frikken awesome!!
wow great build. What is the weight of these type builds?
I have still yet to weigh mine but its heavy lol
Mine is 2,200 lbs loaded, not sure about @Red Fowler Outdoors?

Cool build.
hey man do you recommend any videos that go over how to flash a roof like yours when it comes to the vertical panels or boards how you have it
I really like the idea of building a camper in wood instead of metal, my next car will probably be something like that.👏
What’s your thoughts on truck years engine size gas / Diesel trucks. Thanks
Is there a reason diesel seems to be preferred over a gasoline engine?
Because diesel engines have more toque, better fuel mileage, last longer and you can idle them for long periods without damaging the engine.
Best trucks ever made were mid 90's Ford 7.3 and Dodge 5.9 Cummins. Forget the Chevy diesels, but their gassers were good. As a neat bonus, those mechanical diesels will drink filtered motor oil or vegetable oil if you wanna save $$$

Timmy, did he model his after you, sure very similar? How cool, imagine how cheap a family can live?
I think so
Dude. A family of 4 in there? Thad be torturous.
I would loose my damn mind
It was easy
Tim congratulations on 100k subscribers!!
Thanks dude!
So he made a solid door 🚪 incase some one try’s to break in. Are you guys going through the same problems down here in the lower 48 🤗
He said it was a necessary precaution due to the pewpews he carries. Sounds like a responsible explanation.
People steal everywhere
Alaska has a super high rape and crime rate doesn’t it??
Yes
Will it stop a bear.
The guy sounds like Dale from step brothers 😂😂😂
What diesel heater?
Congrats on 100K Subs THL!!!!
Nice job man!
You got a buddy!!! 🤙🤙🤙
Congrats on 100k subs
Yours is way better. But wow I can’t imagine 4 people in there. 😅
Shoot-Dang ! maybe you could breed them , ya might make an Alpha Truck house 😂 Looks cool 🤟 ~peace~
You can sleep in that one in the summer but it does looks hot the other one has all the comforts you need to live in it.
Did he say that was 10ft wide by 8ft long?
Very Nice
This is so inspiring
Thanks haha! That's why I do it:)
Those are not full-size beds, they are twin beds. Also, there’s no way that camper is 10 feet wide. It would need a “wide load “ permit every time he drove it.
I think he meant it’s 10’ long. You are correct 10’ would be illegal.
Love ya bro! Pro tip, let them talk, more than you.
Didn't even notice, I'm bad at interviews lol
@@TruckHouseLife Just fuck'n with ya, I enjoy your adventures! Keep up the good work!

See what you starded Timmy it looks like all ur idears
10 ft wide? Don't you need a wide load sign for anything over 8'6”?
Nice
cool

Did he say it's 10' wide? I thought the widest you could go was 8'.6" ....?
Nice but I like yours better. Your porch seems so much bigger
I like your show!
Looks good , I still like your layout! & as we know it's all compromises. Wider , you can't go as many places.
I like yours a lot better!
brother cabin, but windows are redundant and bad for isolation the cold.
If you ever make to Dallas you will have to check out my brothers Truck House
He needs to make the children minure bunk beds and so the space freeded up he can put a heat source in there. I didn't see one.
He showed a diesel heater at the beginning.
How much does something like that weight
Sweetest 😮
Looks like a Springfield survival rifle in the sock?
Winchester 94
10' wide is scary to me, butt still Cool . . .
Cool, can’t believe a family of 4, but probably get used to it.
