I just bought the Mini 3 Pro about two weeks ago. I considered getting the Mini 2 about a year ago, but I held out because it didn’t have the features I wanted, specifically higher resolution and obstacle avoidance. No regrets.
DJI has a very weird product line. I don’t understand why anyone would want the Mini 3 over the Mini 3 Pro - obstacle avoidance should be standard on every commercial drone.
i cant afford both drones at this time but when i do, i will definetely go with PRo, best drone ever DJI has released so far in my concept. waiting for that day....
Upgraded from mini 2 to mini 3 pro. Amazing difference. Well worth the extra cost. DJI has been very active with software and firmware updates to keep improving the mini 3 pro!
My number one concern with flying a drone as a beginner is crashing the drone. Having obstacle avoidance just gives me an extra boost of confidence to practice flying more.
I felt the same however on Day 5 the avoidance sensor didn’t work and it crashed from 3 m high and the right front arm was ripped out. Waiting for the DHI support technician to hopefully determine what happened. Glad I had insurance and hoping I quickly receive a replacement aircraft. 🥹🤷♂️
Definitely read the manual and look at RUclips videos "if" you still consider yourself a "beginner." I follow Aldrin CONSTANTLY for updates. Worth the time watching. Thanks
I have the DJI air, mavic pro, mini 2, and the DJI fpv. Which 2 would you recommend I trade for just a good DJI mavic drone. Except the last one obviously. Im looking for just a DJI mavic pro 3 maybe. I don’t know where we stand now with the numbers now. Thank you great video.

I have the original Mini as well, I’m thinking about the 3 Pro myself. I loaded Litchi on my phone and use it with the Mini which allows tracking (no obstacle avoidance of course), way points and a lot of other things. The tracking is actually better because it locks on the GPS of your phone, not just reliant on the what the camera sees. That being said, the camera specs of the 3 Pro are far superior and since it uses O3 for the transmission there is hope of it working with the DJI FPV Goggles 2 🤞
Hi, I just got the batt plus pack kit and wondering what is the maximum voltage when it is 100% charged, because mine have different voltage, for example batt plus no. 1 voltage for cell 1 and cell 2 are the same on 4.20V on the other hand the no. 2 batt plus for cell 1 is 4,20V and for cell 2 is 4,19V...is these normal? thanks in advance
I have the mini 3 right now I want to buy nd filters and 2 spare batteries and the charging hub I just bought the rc controller then in a few months buy the mini 3 pro and sell my mini 3 and regular controller since all the stuff I would have bought I can use with the pro
sync 3 is not just about 2km of extra range, it provides more reliable connection when you are flying between obstacles like trees and buildings, it reduces latency and provides consistence connection.
For me the biggest difference is that the non pro one does not have log profile and ocusync 3. Also the mini3 pro is being discounted right now so the price difference is not that big.
I'm still plugging away with my good ole Mini. I don't do a ton of drone work so while I would *like* some of the features of the 3 or 3 Pro, I can't really justify spending $$$ for them. I guess, once my Mini eventually bites it, I'll review my options at that time.

Hi, can you tell me whether there is an option to lower the sharpness to zero or -2 ? from standard ? hope DJI Will implement just this one settings! like they did with mini3 pro after some time.. - it's sadly too much post proessed digital to my eye it looks more like mini1 mini2 footage not true mini3 quality.
Say, I know this is totally unrelated to the subject at hand but I desperately need your help. I just shot my first video with my new DJI Mini 3 Pro today, and when I played the videos back they had what appeared to be either GPS parameters or telemetry displayed across the entire screen. This makes the videos unusable. Is there some kind of setting turned on that I'm unaware of or something? I've never seen this with any of my other before, including my Mavic Air 2. I'd really appreciate some help with figuring out how to get rid of this and I thought I'd turn to you for some help. Thanks in advance, Eric
I would NEVER go with a Dji product ever again. Selling the four DJI drones that I have and going with Autel. Most unreliable drone manufacturer in the world is Dji. I could never use a Dji product and fly confident and comfortably. Absolute horrible products. And customer support after point of sale is horrific! If you’re looking to start flying drones, run away from Dji as fast as you can!

From, my profession and background experience. I, have not yet, ever flown or owned, a drone. Such as these and others. Though, I do have a small amount. Of actual flight training and flight time. And my professional background, engineering. Engineering music. Engineering commercials. Engineering news. Engineering POTUS. And engineering recording studios, tape recorders and radio stations. Along the way of a 50+ year career. Only doing that. And because who wants to work for a living anyhow? I never have. It never seemed, like work. But okay to the point. As a, first, entry level drone. It would only make sense. To go with the, Pro, version. Since you basically need it's, further enhanced, goof proof, feature set. And is, $200 greater, peace of mind. Extra insurance, if you will. In the area of the, high quality resolution and optical performance. Of sub miniature, photo and cinematic, offerings. A savings of, 200 bucks is 200 bucks. And for a senior citizen of 67. On nothing but, Social Security retirement benefits. Price is now a huge factor. However... That bare-bones, mini 3. With the same, professional quality. As the Pro version. In the hands of a skilled, professional. I would think I would have less of a chance to crash. Understanding the finesse required. For the very responsive mostly, remote controls. I'm a professional. Not a child. I feel the chances of crashing, less likely. Since I only want, I only like, angelic looking, shots. No Speed Racer, for me. FPV? No I am O-L-D. On delivery. This is a tough decision. Because I also think that, follow me function is quite desirable. Unless that's worth 200 extra dollars to you? And while I am not as physically fit as I should be at 67. That Pro. Could make it look like, I was! 10 seconds here. 10 seconds there. 10 seconds beyond that. Obviously looking like I'm getting one hell of a, cardio workout! When it was really just a total of a 30 second, fake! But when you edit it together and add a snappy rock 'n' roll soundtrack. It looks like your next stop? The Olympics! Mars is still sacred. I upgraded from mini se to mini 3 with rc-n1 and gotta say i would do it again... got a deal with fly more combo (new) at 590€, that is basicly half price of mini 3 pro and not half of capabilities lol, now with the support of sdk and i use only androids too, i gotta say it couldn´t have gone better for me :D very anxious for it to arrive :)

One question that is driving first time drone owners crazy is: What are 5 reasons to get obstacle avoidance and 5 reason on not needing it. I'm looking for my first drone and the main driver for looking at the Mini 3 or pro is the RC controller. I'm on the fence between these and don't know if I really need everything the pro offers... Unfortunately because of the price differential, I would need the Mini 3 Pro to avoid objects and to track me on my bike, which are absolutely necessary features for me.
DJI is Not Cool! Bringing out "dumbed down drones" of successful releases is only a waste on time for drone enthusiasts. If they continue this they just might end up pushing consumers to Autel and end up like Radio Shack! What a Fail!
I think if the drone alone is 200 dollars less, then it's worth the savings for many users. Not everyone really would use all the extra capabilities of the pro.
Three questions: 1. Hows the sound level compared to the PRO? 2. Are its props interchangeable with the PRO? 3. Does this suffer from the same transmission problems as the PRO did? (Read ... actual transmission like 10% that of specs)
I went with the mini 3 over the pro because the camera specs were not different enough for what I use it for to pay the difference. I’ve been flying drones since 2013, and while that doesn’t make me immune to crashes, I know that for others the reliance on the optical sensors may lead to crashes. But to each their own, I’m perfectly happy with the mini 3.
Instead of keep posting videos why dont you occasionally look at your own website and answer people who post questions on there? Then maybe I would have found out months ago whether the drone you said I`d won from you in a message to me a couple of months ago was genuine or not?. I went on to your website and asked if this could be genuine or not and I thought you`d be interested because if it wasn't genuine then that meant you had been hacked and you could do something about it, but NO a couple of months later still no answer from you. In the meantime can I alert everyone who follows this man. I`d be very concerned about getting a message from this You Tuber saying you've won something. because when I answered the message on that particular YT video where I got the message saying I`d won a drone, the person whoever it was that answered me genuine person or hacker, got very very aggressive with me because I was reluctant to give over my personal details! I sold my refurbished Mini 2 and Refurbished AIR 2 both Fly More Combos & upgraded to the Refurbished AIR 2S Fly More Combo, & Refurbished Mini 3 Pro with RC Controller. You literally couldn't tell the difference between new and Refurbished, & it has the same 1 year factory warranty & qualifies for DJI Care Refresh Plan.
I own both the Mini 3 Pro & the Mini 3, If you turn the Obstacle Avoidance, off on the Mini 3 Pro, it has almost the exact same flight time, as the Mini 3.
It's nice to have an option that sits between the a-bit-outdated Mini 2 and the too-far-advanced Mini 3 Pro... especially when it comes at a reasonable price!
It’s not for me.2 weeks ago i upgraded from the mini 2 to the air 2s (fly more combo) and i’m very happy with that drone. My mini 2 will be my backup drone for places were i can’t fly my air 2s, maybe in the future i will replace the mini 2 for the mini 3 pro with sensors.

If you fly when it's very dim or dark outside, obstacle avoidance sensors won't work well at all.

For $200 the upgrade to obstacle avoidance and 4k 60 with the Pro is a no-brainer. Just purchased it.

Is there flexibility to the active track? For instance can you put the subject on a third or anywhere else in the frame?
Mini 3 Pro as I want tracking and above all obstacle avoidance.

1. Watch my review video, I have sounds comparisons. 2. Yes 3. Transmissions felt the same as PRO. But I didn't do a range test on the Mini 3 yet.
Went from the Mini 1 to the 3 pro…the 4K, obstacle avoidance, and new big controller with a screen sold it for me!!!!!!!
Also, the vertical viewing! Love your videos, big fan!!!

2:40 no, only mini 3 pro support 10bit d-cine like format.

Yooo what about flight time....is the Mini 3 flight time longer than the Mini 3 Pro? I thought I saw that on the DJI website.

I own both the Mini 3 Pro & the Mini 3, If you turn the Obstacle Avoidance, off on the Mini 3 Pro, it has almost the exact same flight time, as the Mini 3.

I'd pay the extra few bucks and get a mini 3 Pro
It's nice to have an option that sits between the a-bit-outdated Mini 2 and the too-far-advanced Mini 3 Pro... especially when it comes at a reasonable price!
It’s not for me.2 weeks ago i upgraded from the mini 2 to the air 2s (fly more combo) and i’m very happy with that drone. My mini 2 will be my backup drone for places were i can’t fly my air 2s, maybe in the future i will replace the mini 2 for the mini 3 pro with sensors.
