Man, that was a machine gun speed video of tips but every single one was outstanding. The benefit is not a lot of wasted time, but full on top quality info. I've already added this video to my "drone" bookmark tab. Really, really great info.
PS. This info is far superior to the manual provided by the manufacturer, They tell how to turn of and off certain modes but don't you the purpose of those modes. You explain not only what, but why to use certain features.

A long-time film photographer with high image quality standards, this video dispelled skepticism about the DJI Mini 3 Pro. After watching it multiple times and taking my Mini 3 Pro for its maiden flight yesterday, the drone's capabilities are incredibly impressive. The video's tips and techniques were instrumental in a successful first flight, and the journey to explore the drone's full potential will be exciting.

Great video, thanks, I've picked up a few tips even though I'd been flying for quite a while with the Mini 3 Pro.
One thing about the RC controller you could have mentioned is with a USB microphone you can actually save the ambient sound while doing a screen recording, which is really handy when recording fireworks displays so then you can use that sound track to sync with the drone footage.

This video is helpful. The 3 Pro was purchased last week as an upgrade to the Mini 2. 2 observations: the battery hub and the RC on the 3 do not support fast charging as the 2 does. The shutter recycle period is significantly slower on the 3, which makes it challenging to shoot moving subjects.

Mine has always come pretty close to to landing in it's home point, never been wildly off before. Some instanced it's actally come back to mere inches away. I have had it, in places where there wasnt a lot of extra room, get a bit uncomfortably close to nearby ojbect or an uneven spot on the ground. I just cancle the return to home once it's close and manally land it. On the 4th of July I hand launched it from a pontoon boat and we were anchored up for a big 4th of july fireworkd show on Eagle Mountain Lake in Fort Worth Texas. It wa dark and there was no visibility of the drone while it was up filming. I used return to home to bring it back once the fireworkd were over. Obvioulsy even with the anchor dropped we had drifted a bit from our starting point, but it got close enough to our location that I could very easily follow it's navigation lights, cancel the return to home auto landing, then fly it over to where we had drifted to, and hand recover it from the boat. Worked out great.

Your channel is very informative and relevant to the UK. Can I ask if you have any reccomendations to better understand the Geo zone information or better still could you do a brief introduction into what the various colured zones actually means in practice and how that influences where a sub 250g drone can be operated. Great video giving several good tips. Thank You! Multi thumbs up.
About power bankning. Yes, You're completely right, but.... Limited number of cycles is well known...
Suppose all batteries are fully charged but all haven't been used during the flight. "Power banking" the fully used batteries down to 50%..... Or is the self discharging function better?
Labelling and keeping notes about battery cycle number.... Great idea.
5 of my 7 Mini 3 PRO cells say N/A.... ??? They have all been flying at least once. Maybe I cut off flying at 50% and not charged them yet?
Small screws.... Focus on what Your doing! Using sufficient pressure! Testing other fine screw drivers the supplied one was the best fitting! Aha, tripple zero! I'll check....
Updates..... Being satisfied with the current performance, DON't update. One update for one drone limited the maximum altitude to 120 meters. Starting in a valley the surrounding mountains could not be overflown.
Zooming in or out, raising/lowering the camera by the fingers, new to me!!!!!! Wow.
DJI RC, screen recording... On the RC PRO it's found up to the right..
Using the controller SD card as backup..... Be hell careful when taking any SD card out! I did it once, the SD card was catapulted out into a medium cut lawn and it took me 30 minutes to find it! Always use another finger to block a total escape!
Time 21:10. RTH == hover is a good option in several sceneries.... I'll depend on it in an oncoming project.
Time 21:30. I've experienced both 10 feet away as well as approaching the landing point at an elevated point some 10 feet TOO LOW.
Use RTH to get the drone within sight and land it manually! Lots of that on my channel. No RTH landing done.
Yes, having the home pointed registered is very valuable.
Landing the drone in gusty winds...... It looks like the drone looses the GPS positioning during the last 2 meters and drift in the wind. Correcting the position at such a low altitude is not accepted by the drone. Getting up some feet, adjusting the position to compensate for the drift and try again landing has been my scenario more then once.

Thank you very much for your educational videos! Just bought Mini 3 pro and didn't crash it or lose it on its maiden outing solely thanks to your tips (there were a couple of close calls but we're still together because I heeded your advice in terms of safety settings). However, I still can't figure out how to track yourself in sideways (parallel) mode. I saw both yourself and other people doing it, but in this video you mentioned that drone would not track sideways even if 'disable sideways flight' is off. Any pointers on this would be very appreciated.

Great video and that, but I found it to much to take in! I stoped at 13 mins in, I have been flying drones since the mini 1 had the 2 then stopped flying for about a year because ran out of time, so 6 months ago I decided to get back into it and upgrade again to the mini 3 pro, trying to get the best out of this amazing mini is hard when people put out long videos going through so much what to do not to do it this way don’t do It that way.
I will watch again in small sections to get the best out of what your saying, shorter video’s would get more interest and make the viewer stay connected……..but who am I to say, keep sharing your advice and information 👍

One of the topics I've struggled with in "normal" photography has been showcasing my photos. Taking an awesoem photo of a great memory, maybe putting it on instagram, just for it to be lost in the void.
What I do now is that the best photos are added to a google photos album that my chromecast will showcase as a screensaver.
What do you do to showcase/rediscover your drone videos? Do you actively sit down and rewatch the videos you made a year ago or have you found some awesome way to always show them as a background thing in you house? Maybe it would be a great topic for a video?

A quick tip to help with landing accuracy on an automatic return to home when using a landing pad...
Point the gimbal fully downwards and view the landing pad as the drone descends. If you have a grid with the centre point displayed it will become apparent very quickly if the drone is going to miss the pad. Adjust position accordingly, or perhaps better still abort the RTH when a few metres up and then land the drone manually adjusting position as required.
This will ensure you avoid landing off the pad in snow as was suggested in the video as a bad idea!

Great content! Is there an advantage to using HyperLapse Cruise Control over the CourseLock HyperLapse mode?

This is amazing help you are providing, I have a head injury but can understand most of this video. If I set my controller/drone to the settings you recommend ie hyper setting will this affect my normal control of the drone, or do I have to reset or turn off the settings???

Sir, can you please make a video about Mini 2 SE's shooting modes? That'll be really helpful for us beginners.

Nice video, Matthew, thanks. I actually got a screwdriver after another video of yours on your kit. Now, I usually wait a few days to see what happens to the new firmware before I update :) I prefer to hear if everything is OK.

Brilliant video. So many different things that we all have taken for granted and not really bothered with knowing why or how. Very informative. Thank you.

I appreciate the great tips and content. One bit of negative feedback though I find the click or metronome like sound effect in the sound track very distracting.

    Thanks! Outstanding info!
Question: Is there a way to quickly transfer RC Screen Recording files from the RC’s SD card to one’s computer without removing the SD Card? I know this can be done using a Bluetooth connection but it takes way too long. I could not find a way to do this with the RC connected to my computer (a MAC) with a USB C cable.
