Thats awesome. We used a 300 ton crane to move my buddys lol. All ya need is a water tank and ya have a movable swim spa with a heck of a view from anywhere. You guys are awesome.
You have the rigging but I’d invest in a tag line. I’ve had slings slip loading pipe. Tag lines, communication, good operator and perfect hand signals will avoid Dave being under the load. Pick and carry is perfectly safe as long as your chart allows it. If not I would carry it with as little stick out as possible, close to the truck and 25% of the lifting capacity
Just bought a swim spa those things are HUGE! Mine is about 2x as big as that one. 4 men rolled it in on pvc pipes. The original one I was gonna get was like a 4month back order. Went to a different store and got one a.s.a.p
First off...AWESOME M977!! I gotta ask why didn't you drop the doors when loading it?? 😒 I'm and Army Veteran (53 yrs old now) and I was stationed in Fulda Germany 1987-89 and the M977 HEMMIT was my truck... 10 ton 8x8 of Cummings turbo diesel power in field operations for a month at a time (I slept in mine) and then all over Europe on the bad ass Autobahn in my 10 ton!! We were Support Platoon and suppliers of pallets of food and ammo and fuel for all the troops and tankers (110mm rounds for M1a1 tanks) Blackhorse Regiment was the unit's name. PROUDLY SERVED 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲💪
That was an M985. the M977 has the single strand crane, the M985 has the combination strand crane. (I was in an MLRS unit and had to have the cranes with higher lifting capacity)
Change the valve body on the control for spinning the boom and it should fix your problem. I used to work on these in the Army. It's an amazing machine

Nothing wrong with that in any way. And yes, Diesel Dave, I'd go hot tubbing with you because it would be a riot. Talking about cars/trucks, bouncing ideas off each other and just having good times.

My body don't like probiotics. - I was born in the wrong country, I have to pay 3x as much as you do for you name it. Only when I hear what that bathtub costs my hair stands on end! - I don't have a garbage can, I take my garbage bag across the street and dump it in an underground container - I mainly come across cranes like this with boatmen who use them to put their car on the quay. I had on the many trucks that either I drove or drove the controls right behind the cab, on both sides, meaning some people can take the controls on the other side, my crane was super sensitive when turning, and some idiot jerks on the handle on the other side and a length of pipe with a diameter of half a meter flew from his chains through 5 barracks, the boss who was working inside the pipe went right past his head, luckily I had a witness who had seen it .
WHERE CAN I GET SOME. I LIVE PAYETTE,IDAHO. ONTARIO, ONTARIO IS ONLY 5 MILES AWAY. I DON'T KNOW IF I COULD GO TO THE PLACE YOU TOLD ME. THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH FOR ALL YOUR SHOWS. THANK YOU TO ALL YOUR CAMERA CREW.
Crane tips/rules the out rigger needs pads 3 time bigger than the crane pads. When you set up on a hills side like you did you are supposed to be 1 and a half feet away of the hill height so if it’s a 5’ hill/cliff you set up 7’ 6” especially if it’s fresh if it’s well compacted and slopes off good you’re fine at 3’. That pick and carry was perfectly fine. The booms turn like that on every crane that I’ve use if it’s not level it’s not really a big deal if you ask me. Other than the load chart that’s the main stuff I’m sure you guys are smart enough and have common sense to run it. I’d recommend getting the crane license for like a fixed cab crane like the one in my profile picture it’s a 80’ 20ton it’s like 2k for the license 3days of school 2 for preparation for the test 3rd day is for the test and hands on test easy course good for like 4 years or so, it’s probably not needed for that knuckle boom but I say get it why not.

I really wish I could get my hands dirty and do work the way you guys do. I would give my first born (he sucks don't take the deal) to learn how to fix and recover equipment like y'all do. Keep at it cuz I'm always so inspired by your adventures.
Great job guys, cheers Tracey from Australia xo
I bought a hot tub off a neighbor and me and my buddies moved it best part is we are all firemen the whole neighborhood watched and laughed what a good time I have plenty off pictures
I love how the audio is all over the place
Very cool. Was stationed at Hill for 3.5 years, and assistant coach for Fremont when they won state in 98. Thought that area looked familiar
That's a sweet tub. Man I could use one. I have over 2 months with 2 day off my body is sore. Working on big heavy locomotive's getting a little harder with age and the none stop every day is long days is getting old to. Sweet tub.
You can't ask for a better crew than you have awesome bunch
i changed my comment...Thank you Heavy D, for replying ❤❤
Heavy D is worth his weight in GOLD! thanks again
2 boxes mean you got 2 FREE play again boxes next time. You are playing till you win something of equal value of the box.
So glad you fixed the left headlight, I was driving me nuts!
My army unit had a Hemet wrecker, the operator was a 6'6" Sicilian an he could wear his Kevlar helmet cause he was to tall even with the seat bottomed out. But that truck was a work horse.
Surely no Sicilian is 6'6".
That HEMTT is the best purchase you have ever made; and it has just payed for itself! That is the ultimate machine!
Thats awesome. We used a 300 ton crane to move my buddys lol. All ya need is a water tank and ya have a movable swim spa with a heck of a view from anywhere. You guys are awesome.
Always enjoy your videos. And I live in the south. We have no need for snow here
You have the rigging but I’d invest in a tag line.
Thanks for watching don't don't forget to hit the like button
Just bought a swim spa those things are HUGE! Mine is about 2x as big as that one. 4 men rolled it in on pvc pipes. The original one I was gonna get was like a 4month back order. Went to a different store and got one a.s.a.p
On Hambone. You can adjust your stops on the tires and drive in a short ecp and bug out.. for tight Turning.
Boy’s and their toys! Priceless!
Once again these guys are also showing the diversity of Utah. It shows that not all of us here have massive homes but the majority of us own older more modest homes. Nothing wrong with that in any way. And yes, Diesel Dave, I'd go hot tubbing with you because it would be a riot. Talking about cars/trucks, bouncing ideas off each other and just having good times.
Honestly man I'm loving your ads.
If there ever was a sponsorship opportunity for Palfinger this would be the time. Palfinger please give these guys some love and by that I mean get them a couple knuckle booms, the can mount on these vehicles. PK 58.002 TEC 7 should do the job
When I was stationed at Ft. Bragg i was on a detail moving 10 HEMTTs to Pope Air Force base, it was very fun. There made so anybody can drive them.
I just realized who you remind me of: Marty Raney from Homestead Rescue! The original McGuiver! That was awesome how well it fit in the HEMTT
Love your videoes, but the sound is lagging way behind the footage in this particular video. Is that fixable?
What a nice employee to give the Boss a gift like that for his birthday
I bought a used 8 person one and used the landscape trailer and two other guys as a giant 2 wheeler to pick it up and drop it off. All elbow grease
Just a hap-py just a happy guy. That doggo was absolutely pumped for everyone being around lol.
Heavy D. has THE BEST Sponsor Adverts EVER!! ... I watch them every time ... the diet supplements look very interesting! ... I'm a senior and handicapped .. but I can still long board and make a living in my business :) . .. buy some diet supplements .. I'm going to!:) .. I want to be young and strong like the star of this video series!!
Love it when a plan comes together
That was awesome, I live right by Fort Story & also Little Creek in Virginia, & have seen HEMTT's haul many things but never a hot tub....lol
I’d recommend getting the crane license for like a fixed cab crane like the one in my profile picture it’s a 80’ 20ton it’s like 2k for the license 3days of school 2 for preparation for the test 3rd day is for the test and hands on test easy course good for like 4 years or so, it’s probably not needed for that knuckle boom but I say get it why not.
love it right rig for the job couple of wide cargo straps done, what a rig the day we got them at my unit in Germany moving cargo got so much better
Not sure if just me but the audio went out of sync during the sponsor part where HeavyD started in. Also at 13:58 its video of the hottub loading in the Hemtt but the audio is hans and wife talking about the trash. Video preview shows that but actual video is different...
