    Absolutely awesome! Maybe the most tragic thing about this is how awful the Nano Nebula is. Is that the V2 firmware at least? If not, lemme send you a V2 cam just to help your eyes not bleed.

      The camera was given to me previously so I don't know 100% for certain, but I believe it is already a V2 Nebula Nano. At any rate, it is less bad than the Nebula Nano (v1) that I pre-ordered. You asked for opinions on the Shark Byte. I have three toothpick builds that differ only in the video system. One with naked Vista at 200mW, one with a tiny 400mW Eachine analog VTx, and one with the Shark Byte at 200mW. The Vista and analog quads fly around the outside of my house fine. The Shark Byte video disintegrates into unflyable snow as soon as I go behind the house. I'm going to replace the board with a Vista.

      @@yuvalyosef I would not consider them to be in the same class. This one weighs as much with battery as the Phantom without ;-) Not saying that the phantom isn't a good copter. For me it is important to be able to fly as many copters as I can on the same type of battery, this way I don't need to bring so many quads to a session - I always bring 2 - sometimes 3 quads per battery type. My main batteries are 2S 450mAh. The phantom is 4S, so i would at least need another copter that takes 4S, otherwise I am running the risk of having a bunch of 4S batteries that I have to discharge at home, because I crashed my only quad that I can use them on.

      How do you like it? I'm very tempted to get Shark Byte because latency is very important to me. The DJI system is good, but I do feel more connected to the drone when I fly analog, despite the static and stuff. Or maybe it's just because my DJI drones are heavier and thus they aren't quite as responsive. Hard to tell, but anything that can reduce that weight is interesting to me.

      I wanted it to be as light and quiet as possible, and I think 2S is plenty. 2S batteries also tend to be lighter than the equivalent 3S batteries. I have a 4-inch DJI drone that is super powerful, but it is too dangerous and noisy to fly in my backyard and neighborhood. That's where the light Babytooth platform opens up opportunities for me. Once they get below their nominal voltage though they will sag hard on you, but its full power till the last second. I found the GNB lipos like cruising more. The r-line packs are also very light and small in comparison to their Mah rating. Best part about the Tattu range for me has been the durability. Only lipos that survive my crashes.

    Great video, as usual! To lower the center of gravity, and maybe loose a gram, try the "marsupio" camera mount in thingiverse. (If dji made a video receiver module for analog goggles, then I would think about it.)

    Do you mind sharing the CLI Dump since I am building the exact same atm. Would like your thoughts on the tune etc. Thank you for the great content always, this is where FPV should be at especially during this time when some of us cant fly in usual spots due to restrictions on 5" quads, this is perfect balance of video quality + low noise + flight time + low risk due to weight.

    Moore's law states that the digital is the future of the FPV industry. Fix that latency issue and lower the costs and you'll be good to go!

    • @MrShutterBug
      @MrShutterBug  3 года назад

      Actually Moore’s law has to do with transistors in a microprocessor. Still I don’t doubt that digital can take over if it gets cheap enough, fast enough, and also light enough. It would take a big step for digital to replace analog in 1S whoops, however. They will probably be the last holdout. An analog whoop FPV system can be less than 2 grams including cam, wires, vtx, and antenna.

    • @cs-xd9gy
      @cs-xd9gy 3 года назад +2

      Digital, be it DJI or SB isn't actually that expensive if you count everything you get.
      Great picture quality, a 720p DVR, and in DJIs case a RX for as little as $100 with Cam, vtx and antenna? How is that expensive?
      Analog cam 15-45, crossfire rx 25, eachine nano vtx 15, antenna say 10, hd DVR IDK 25 or more. Add that up. I have a 1s 65mm dji whoop. Sure it's fat and slow but it flies, good for cruising in doors.

    • @serenestateofbeing1062
      @serenestateofbeing1062 4 месяца назад

      Lower latency? Use hdzero. The systems like dji and walksnail aren't designed around lower latency so you'll never get close to hdzero with them. They prioritize picture quality which can cause variable latency. Nothing wrong with that. If you want low latency, you're gonna have breakup like hdzero or analog.

    What's better T-Motor F1303 5000KV or Flywoo ROBO RB 1204 8150KV?

    • @MrShutterBug
      @MrShutterBug  2 года назад

      Either of those motors should work fine. The 5000kv motor would need a 3S battery. The other would be better on 2S.

    Excellent video and production. Wondered if you use a GSheet on the weight breakdown? If so, I'd be really interested in a link to see where the grammes hide... I've been doing it for my builds recently and find the data & charts really help me focus on where to skinny it down.

    Hi Mr. Shutterbug,
    I wanted to know if you have found an STL file or a link for a similar canopy that holds a Nebula Pro? Last question how did you arrange your stack in terms of dampeners, nuts or o rings? Thanks for your help and build! Much appreciated!

    • @MrShutterBug
      @MrShutterBug  3 года назад +1

      Yeah, the quality would be a lot better but the Nebula Pro is a larger canopy. It would need a different canopy. I might do that in the future, or maybe use a naked DJI cam. Choices...

  • @amay8282
    @amay8282 3 года назад

    Wow Mr. S, you have perfected another one. What do you think would happen if you put ultra light prop-guards on this guy. Light/quiet indoor/outdoor explorer drone. Would the extra weight kill the performance? I love flying around the neighborhood with small, light, quiet quads but would like the guards to allow for indoor and canopy exploration flying. Thoughts?

    • @FilipRadelic
      @FilipRadelic 3 года назад

      I don’t think guards light enough not to ruin it exist, especially at 3”. I’ve got a 38g 75mm 2s whoop with naked Vista for that and it’s definitely worth having a different tool for a different job 🙂
