Just built a 3” toothpick, it’s now my favorite flyer. Flies on a rail and just as fast as the 5 “ think I’m hooked on the lil flyers
The footage you get from the onboard dvr Is honestly good enough to the point where I think split cams are useless. Can’t wait to see more footage. Subd
True that. Unfortunately I am still getting some camera noise with the setup I described and it managed to sneak into the onboard DVR as well. I’m still looking for a way to isolate the camera and RX so I don’t get as much interference.

nice build video! love Kabab's quads. i built a babytooth cuz im cheap and like 1s lol im currently building a Tinawhoop with split cap and a tiny trainer (maybe with split cam as well)

Are you happy with the result? Are the engines 5000kv or 6350kv? What is the avg. flight time? And last question - would you change any part today?
I am very happy with it. I get about 7 minutes. They are 5000kv. I would change the camera to the FPV cycle ant-lite.
Clean build. Did you bypass the AIO board OSD or does the VTX have some passthrough?
It does have a pass through. I used it because I noticed that the video wire coming from the camera was very susceptible to noise from the nano rx and I figured the pass trough might help with this.

I think I’m going to stick with the 3in for a little while. It always happens to be windy when I fly and I think the extra size helps with that. But the babytooths certainly are cool.

Do you think the onboard DVR is worth it, or should i go with a smaller VTX and record just from my goggles?
It depends on what you want to use the footage for. If you are making videos, the DVR is nice because it records without any of the video breakup associated with analog FPV as well as having higher res (I think). But if it's just for fun, you can skip it. For that, I would recommend a TBS unify pro nano.
Also, I don't think you will be able to feel any big performance improvements going with something lighter so it's not that big a deal imo.

Can this Toothpick play with 3 '', 1-cell or 2-cell 18650 li-ion batteries?

I have never tried using it with li-ion cells. The FC is rated up for 4s so, in theory, you should be able to use up to 4 li-ion cells. Also, it pulls so little current so that shouldn't be a concern either. I'm just not sure about the power to weight ratio. It would be certainly something to experiment with first.

It looks like all those parts are compatible. But without building it and testing it, I cannot tell for sure if it will fly well. In general, I don't think you should have any problems getting it to work.
