These little 2s toothpicks and 2s whoops are one of my favorite class of quads to fly. And more now that Walksnail has these awesome little VTX’s. Great vid bro.🤙🍺🍺
When I flew my crux3 toothpick for the first time I was like woooww I like this style.. I was thinking of jumping from analogue to walksnail . Just for this .
Man it’s worth it. Full hd in a 2s toothpick is something else. The v1 fatshark dominator hd goggles are on sale for 380$. I paid 480$ for mine just before caddx released the goggles x.
Fun watch. You should consider a one piece bottom plate. I have one of these built on the crux 3, with hdzero and it flies amazing. I also have one built on the same frame as you running walksnail. The one I have that's closest to what you're flying is still great fun but the few grams less of the single bottom plate and lighter vtx seems to make a big difference. I understand you prolly can't do the hdzero thing cause you have the dedicated WS goggles. But anything you can do to reduce weight, like shortening the wires for your RX should make a difference. Over all great vid. Thx for making this. If you wanna see me flying mine that's like yours my channel is zeppelin fpv and its the latest vid.
Dude i swear we are on the same wavelength. I also started with the Cetus X. I built my first 5 inch then you make a video. I build a 3 inch then you make a 3.5 inch video same frame. I build a 2S toothpick and you come out with this video.
Great build ive got 2 fpvcycle toothpicks the tp3 and baby tooth both with his 13mm 5000kv motors my oldest surprisingly has a darwinfpv board on it and the other i think is a tunerc poly aio both Fly great on 3s
Good video, I use liquid electrical tape over my ufl/antenna connection, if you replace the antenna after using be careful and take your time you can rip out the ufl connector pretty easily.
hey loving your video, liked to see that flyfish 3.5 inch build, kinda get to learn many things from you, also using walksnail from analog, after looking your video. and walksnail seems great, like too great than analog, also I don't actually feel latency of walksnail, kinda new to fpv gives me perks on not knowing the latence, well thank you for many things. also a suggestion, the black automobile/fabric tape seems great as motor wire tape, just look things, but saved my wires in one crash, so. keep doing great work. thank you man
That’s common with 1s lite kit. After crash it spikes the voltage above the 5V it’s rated for and fry’s it. Sad ): There’s a capacitor you can solder onto the regulator that supposedly helps
@@andrewmedia3568 bardwell actually has a video for it too that’s how I found out. I’m doing a build with the same aio board as you ! And the 1s lite vtx kit. And was worried since I was planning on using it with a 3s I saw it’s rated for 2-4s
It was super hard 😂. I used tweezers and a small allen wrench. You have to kinda squeeze and push some through and then carefully pull it through without tearing it too much.
Use fishing wire or dental floss. Wrap it around the rubber grommet and pull the string in first. And feed the grommet thru the hole while pulling on the string. Try it. Easiest way 🫡
I have a question regarding the Walksnail 1s. I just bought one and I have V3 that states it support 3.1 - 13V and I built a 3" light drone and want to put that vtx in it. I'm actually using the Pavo Pico AIO board from BetaFPV and it has the option to change the vbat from 9v to 3V but it should work with both, am I correct? i don't want to fry it but just curious what your experience with it is and what you may suggest?
Yes the V3 board does support 3.1- 13V . From my testing and what ive seen for best results go for either a 5v or vbat if you are running 2-3s voltage. Im running mine to a 5v plug and 2s voltage and its been great. Its better to have it running to a voltage higher than 3.1 but obviously not higher than the 13 volt threshold.
@@andrewmedia3568 Yeah I'll be running 2s and/or 3s batteries on it but just wasnt sure if i need to change it or not. the default on the AIO is 9V so i shouldn't HAVE to change it correct?

ALWAYS secure the props with screws... i take plastic screws to save weight
If not too heavy, floss in-between the motor stem and the prop works well too.
