Thank you for the detailed videos! I love Grand Power: my Q1S and Stribog were both love at first sight. I just picked up mine today and this video saved me a lot of embarrassment infront of my kids, especially when swapping the backplate for the sliding brace. My two cents are that anyone getting it new must be aware of how tight everything fits at first, so not everything slides with a gentle touch of a finger fresh out of the box (maybe it's just me). The other thing is that when switching the charging handle for a left handed shooter don't push the handle back all the way into the hole or it will lock on you and you won't be able to release it back to the front position to fit the whole assembly back. In my service I was always issued something which was probably used 10-20 years prior and by many others, so buying stuff new is an exciting and "am I doing this right" kinda thing for me. Great video! Of course I'm subscribed to all your notifications.
Seeing that it ships with 3 of the curved mags is a welcome change. When I was last looking at normal A3s, a lot of listings I was seeing was two stick mags and one curved.
Good morning! Thank you for the new video, I am still considering getting a Stribog to compare to my AR-9s and Evo and 9A3(s) are the ones that make sense.
I've purchased a Stribog myself and I think it's a good gun but you're honestly just being ridiculous blaming users for all the problems this gun has had over its lifespan. Not testing a design to see if it will function with the most common type of ammunition is a stupid oversight no matter how you twist it. Additionally yes, there ARE some 9mm guns with straight mags that are known to be reliable but guess what? The Stribog was not one of them. The mag design as it stood previously was junk and in need of a serious redesign curve or no curve. Likewise, the existence of reliable straight mag designs does not suddenly mean that curved mags are not MORE reliable simply as an observable fact of geometry. The fact of the matter is these guns were simply not capable of trusting your life to until the post-A3 launch revisions and the magazine redesign and ignoring the obvious to blame users is irresponsible and frankly annoying.
especially since other users put 124gr through them with issues. I like how the narrative changes, originally it was because slovakia has mythical +p+ 9mm (that their citizens can't even buy), and now it's "it was made for nato 124".
Agreed, i shouldn'd have to worry about wearing kid gloves and not "slamming" the mags in and breaking them. Almost like guns are made for defensive purposes and not just range toys for reviewers to sing their praises
Slamming a full mag in with a closed bolt is actually putting pressure on the ammo, not the mag feeding lip. I've tested it. Not a single mark on my mag feeding lip. Definitely left a mark on the round casing. I won't be doing it but just wanted to test it out for myself.
Graham your showing your hand with these grand power guns lol. They do make a nice weapon for sure. Thanks and let’s see the shooting impression already.
Thought the problems with the mags was that the rounds would bind, causing the follower to get stuck and not feed and then the rounds would just fall out….?
Thank you. I've been following the Stribog since the beginning. I was the first American to report on it (magazine article and videos) and have been to the factory twice.
Great review and all but your bias is pretty evident. The gun is perfect unless you use xyz ammo. The mags are perfect unless you smack them into your gun etc. If you have to make excuses for your gun, you are making a compromise. Owning a Mp5k that doesn’t or hasn’t had those issues, GP earned the reputation for the issues and glad to see they reacted and fixed em. Appreciate the content!
My MP5 is notoriously picky with ammo. It's not bias, it's fact, just stings a little for the folks who caused their own issues put of ignorance. That's a funny thing about the gun world, there's so much BS bravado that folks are afraid to admit when they've made a mistake.
@@GBGuns I don't think it has anything to do with bravado. The fact that you are getting so defensive sorta proves my point. I don't think the Stribog is a bad gun but there is no denying the issues the gun has had by proof of generational changes/ improvements, aftermarket support for replacement lowers/ mags etc and general consensus in the firearm community. Just based on the videos I've seen and personally having fired / handled numerous Stribog's you have to admit that you are in the minority, right? Theres nothing wrong with having preference and for a sub $1k gun its great but to deny reality isn't really a fair point to make.
@@AndrewTPewPew pointing out fact is not being defensive. If anyone's defensive it's the gamers who best on their mags or (in the case of the A3) folks that didn't stop to think that a gun built for NATO loads might struggle with American loads. We saw the same thing with the early Caniks that were also built for NATO. People complained about "weak ejection" proving they didn't understand the gun; ejection is a passive action on most pistols including the TP9. The only way that it can be "weak" is if not enough energy is generated to operate the gun. That come from either soft loads or soft wrists absorbing too much recoil energy.
I love my mini-bog but the after market front brace/finger stop I got is too long and probably is designed for the 8" barrel version (in my excitement I threw away the box so I can't return it). Is there a front hand brace/finger stop designed for the 5" mini bog?
There is a concern that that new hollow roller pin can crush easier experiencing an OOB detonation. A hollow pin isn’t present on the older A3s. Can you speak to this?
That is correct that the older A3 had a solid pin and the new are hollow. Possibly dine to reduce weight and help softer ammo cycle, I don't know for sure. If the pin were to crush it would likely stop the gun on the same cycle as I imagine it either wouldn't lock or unlock. I'm not an engineer, but that's my understanding of it
Would I have wear issues if I suppress my sp9a3s with US locker? Do I need to get the NATO locker because the added pressure? Where can one fine the different angled lockers..?? Thanks!!
I wouldn't expect extra wear at a level worth concern. The part that would receive the extra beating might be the polymer bumper, but that's what it's there for. Theoretically the extra pressure would make for increased recoil, but that's likely countered by the extra weight of the suppressor and their tendency to reduce recoil naturally.
if a mag cant withstand a little smack on the bottom to make sure it sits right, the mag need redesign not the shooter changing a good habit. Don't shill for a company, help them put out better product.
I don't think you understood. The mag can handle a smack, but doing so with the bolt closed is ignorant on any firearm. The same thing is true with AR mags, eventually the feed lips are damaged.

Stribogs are in use in the Ukraine right now

Excellent presentation 👏 Thanks 👍😎🙏
Gave a like for just the intro... rest of the video is awesome too.
Great video. Thanks.

Great informative review/video👍🏽
You should check ballistics by the inch site to learn how little velocity is lost going from 8" to 5". This is true for all pistol calibers.
I've done better and chronographed it myself. It greatly depends on the ammo you use.
Another great video.
Lots of good info in this video. The serial on my s is very close to yours.
Thank you. I'm a bit of a Stribog fan with videos and articles going back years.
Thought the problems with the mags was that the rounds would bind, causing the follower to get stuck and not feed and then the rounds would just fall out….?
I will say I'd like them to change the 6 o clock to MLOK slots so it's easier to install a minimalist hand stop.
Appreciate the video! I just picked up my sp9a3s today. What’s a good red dot for this sexy thang?
Whatever you prefer. I would suggest something with a larger dot like 6moa to make it quicker on target
Love the knowledge in this vid. Very insightful because this gun gets a bad rep

liked for you message at start. 1st time here
Welcome to the channel!
Nice👍👍👍👍👍
Hi
When are you going to buy your own land and leave the private range pain behind ?
Thanks
When I win the lottery. I'm a working stiff with a day job.
Can you hunt water buffalo with this.

I have the original A3, and love it, but thinking about getting the mini bog for concealability and lighter weight. Is it cooler? It is cool!
Haha. It is cool, and with a 5" barrel still more powerful than most 9mm handguns.

@@GBGuns fkn right on brother 🙌

Where can I buy the brace and adapter from
I have that same brace system on mine and that rear pin does not close or open easily 0.o
Hi sir,how ling the lifes of polymer frame?
why does it get weird looks at the range?
My range is rather Fudd-like. This would have to be shot at the rifle bay.
How are the mags? I have 5x stick mags, 2 of which with the steel feed lips and they are all garbage
Offer now curved magazines which fixed their issue supposedly
