I started wearing these barefoot / minimalist shoe / sock things to help strengthen the connective tissue in my feet, and minimize the wear and tear on my knees, hips and ankles that wearing shoes that don't quite fit have been causing.
I don't love the $60 price tag, but I definitely love everything else about them.
About this pair:
- I've had them for a couple weeks
- Washed them in the washing machine three times
- Size: XXL (I wear a 14 or 15 shoe)
- Color: Black - Спорт
2022 Update: I just re-reviewed these here: ruclips.net/video/GIRHUsll4oY/видео.html
Thanks all!
Happy to see a new video & love the reviews!
Great review! I saw that Amazon has the SAGUARO Elastic Slip On Walking Shoes for $25, looks so similar to this Skinners
Good looking out, Jose! I'll check them out. Thank you!
@@ThreeStormFitness my pleasure, greetings from Costa Rica
@@ThreeStormFitness did you ever check them out?
Thanks for the very detailed review! May I ask where do you live please? Your garden with the forest behind looks so nice!
Did you try vibram fivefingers? I have 5 pairs & love them, both for outdoors & indoor workout
Thanks 4 review. I need 4wides. Have ACL out. Dynamic changes in walking , now Can't walk in shoes... 60 bucks a month I'd pay. How are the shoesock on ice, how long did they last you... ? Looking forward to another update
I’m gonna try these on my treadmill
Wonky feet or not, women should consider barefoot shoes so they don't end up with wonky feet. The more who buy them the greater chance of getting cuter styles. (I'm motivated to get women to buy them.) But seriously, shoes we're ruining my feet and two of the most comfortable pairs I ever owned and wore exclusively at two different times in my life actually did damage to my feet - the first pair caused Morton's neuromas and because they were so squishy soft I didn't know I'd developed them or they were bad until I slipped into a pair of flats for a funeral. The 2nd pair fit like a glove and were the most comfortable shoe I'd ever owned (and looked smart too), and so, I bought two colors and wore them exclusively for 6 months. At the end of that time, when I switched into regular shoes for fall, I discovered I was developing an incredibly painful bunion on a foot that never had one. So yeah, that woke me up and now, I'm barefoot shoes all the way.
You had me at jiu-jitsu. 😆
Holy Moly! You had me at size 14 or 15!!! Wowzer!!! Is it true what they say?! The bigger the shoe, the bigger the ...umm ...sock. 🤷🏻♂️🤣😂 On a serious note, those Skinners seem pretty cool. Nice video bro!
Haha oh, Craig. You rascal. Thanks buddy!
Maybe I missed it in the video. Do you feel your toes have freedom in these?
Hey man just came across this video! Big follower of your fitness videos though... You've used these for a few months now. How is the durability?
Thanks man! They've held up well, but honestly, I've probably only worn them once/week for the last few months. It was easier in the summer to get away with it (both because of the weather, but also because all my coworkers are off during the summer, do I have a lot more flexibility to do/wear what I want), so I wore them all the time.
No durability issues to report though. I'm gonna try wearing them to Disney next week...I don't know who will ask me to wear shoes first, the staff or my wife :)
@@ThreeStormFitness thanks for the reply. Hey man please make more gym content! I love your reviews and gym hacks, I've gotten so much from them. Yesterday I did a makeshift pendulum squat from your video.... Played around w the height and length of a Daisy chain against a band peg using my transformer, feet against a wedge. It feels really good!
@@ThreeStormFitness I also bought a round sling a while back because of you. Did well to keep my feet on place doing back extensions in my power rack.
@@kylebeng awesome! How do you like the round sling? I love it personally, but I'm always interested in what other people think of the stuff that I hype on this channel
@@ThreeStormFitness I did find it very useful in the beginning, as it held down my feet to do back extensions, and I had other ideas for it. I was actually thinking of using it like a lever arm, but then I saw your video on Daisy chains and I was like this guy is a freaking genius. I looped Daisy chains to my transformer 2 days ago for my first time and played around with it... Make shift pendulum squat felt really good. I also use them as like extenders for my pulley to do leg extensions/curls (otherwise I'm in this awkward position against my footplate). Lets me do double leg as opposed to single leg. I attach it to my pulley so I can do cable flies or rear delt flies. Will act as my chain loader in the future. I love the Daisy chains
They don’t come big enough for my giant feet 👣
Dude, you must be a giant!
@@ThreeStormFitness yes...I am!
Nice feet, Rob!
Thanks!
