- 2022 - will mark the centenary celebrations of the greatest legend - T M SOUNDERRAJAN. Subhasree Thanikachalam, pays this humble tribute of selected solos of TMS sir. She tries to ravel through the various aspects and emotions of TMS sir through these variety of songs. Though, a small drop in a big ocean, this serene treat of music, with just two instruments and two voices will be scintillating to know the multifacets of TMS ayya.
This was presented as a LIVE event for IMPL's Tamil New Year day Celebrations.

I am 72 yrs old,but when I listen Yaar anda nilavu which is TMS Sir only.
But subhasree Thanickachalam is bringing back ALL the legends like TMS Kavignar Kanadasan Viswanathan Ramamurthy and Shivaji Sir together which is a Great attempt. Hats off to her.

I am from Bangalore, One incident I cannot forget in my is
When TMS died I was in Durban South Africa. One Morning when I went to office, a young person of Indian origin of South Africa came to me and told their hero TMS passed away. Then I started enquiring about him, he could not speak tamil. But he was able to sing TMS songs. I was astonished. He told me, in their locality in temple daily these songs will be played. Another person who could not speak tamil, but he wrote his name in tamil and showed it to me enthusiastically. They were not even knowing which part of tamilnadu they belong to and when their ancestors settled in Soth Africa. But the love they had for their language tamil and TMS was unbelievable.

Vijayn describes so accurately the ' plight ' of most Tamils born in S. Africa ; in this unfortunate group i am one since i was born in Clairwood , Durban. It's not late to begin learning one's mother tongue and i took it up in full earnest recently despite my ' advanced ' age . The benefits are really enjoyable !

Madam selecton oftms sung by your team mate are too good no doubt but to have them in tms voice may not be possible I agree. TMS is all time Great Singer. We born in 1950, 1960,1970, 1980 .... can not forget those legends MSV and TKR, MKM, Kaviarasar Kannadasan, Vali, MGR Sivaji, Jaisankar, Muthuraman, Nagesh, Sivakumar. We all born and brought up by TMS songs. Long Live their Reputation. They all are living whenever we hear their songs in our heart. I am 62 now and hardcore fan of TMS, the god of voice. I had not come across singers who could sing tms songs other than Kovai Murali and Ramachandran both are aged now. Kudos to santosh and vikram for bringing out the young tms before our eyes. Special salurations to venkat, the perfectionist percussionist master. Lovely always the unforgettable giant of tamil film voice.

Coz of my parents...I started my child hood by listening to old songs in radio... What a voice TMS Sir s voice is... It suits for MGR and Shivaji Sir the two great acting dons at that time... Now a days we can't see the singer in more than few (5-10) films. But Sir sustained for more than 50 yrs... That's really appreciable...

Great tribute to TMS. He is known not for his variety of singing but his Tamil pronunciation. I don’t know how many know this, his mother tongue is Sourashtra.

Most of the sourashtra people in madurai speak tamil very well .Telugu naicker also speak very good tamil.

Never thought like this. Super, fitting tribute because he lived as MGR, Sivaji rather than Soundararajan. Anyother have not matched the two giant stars and I used to think that TMS was born for MGR and Sivaji.
