Still need to try this place. My go to for burgers is Kirk’s in Campbell and my go to for Philly cheesesteaks is St. John’s in Sunnyvale, but make sure to try the “beg for mercy” cheesesteak and grab their curry ketchup.. 🔥🔥🔥

Ayy you should try Shmashd Burgers. They look just like these smack burgers but they have this amazing "bacon jam" (basically caramelized onions cooked in bacon fat) that takes the burger to another level. It's the best burger i've ever had. They're a popup that appears all over the peninsula, sf, hmb, and east bay.

St Johns is WAY overrated. Overpriced, busy, just ok burgers. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich that was inedible. It was a fatty thigh piece that was half raw!!! I took one bite and gagged. Disgusting! I gave them 3 chances, they SUCK.
As a fan of Easy Street Burgers in LA, I feel that Smack is definitely comparable. The Baydestrian with raw onions and bacon is my shit.

I’ve been there and it wasn’t as good as he described , in San Jose honestly Super duper burger is so much better and the patty’s have even more flavor , the burgers there mostly just look good but kinda taste bland
