This area was dangerous in the late 90's early 2000's when there were a lot of surenos in the area and they'd fight with local Nortenos. Now and days there are mostly just paisas and Northerners who all get a long for the most part. I was born and raised in SJ and I'm old now so I know what's up in San Jo.

Great viideo review. One request, can you show the menu. You focused on yourself in the shot after asking what is the most popular burger, #4, or a #5. What was a #4? What was the #5? What was in the burger that made it so good? What kind of burger was it? The audience never saw the menu to determine what you ate.

Santa Clara resident here, Stan's donuts on Homestead Rd across from International swim center is the bomb! I've been putting down those glaze donuts since the early 80's. I think little Stan's donuts is famous already, but definitely worth a visit for a fresh hot glaze donut. Mornings are best because the donut is still warm to hot!
Great video.Back in the 80's and 90's there was lots of cruising on King & Story; but unfortunately there were lots of rival gangs in that area. Its no where close to being as bad as it was back then; however, its not as fun and lively either.
I finally had an opportunity to drive down to San Jose after a long day of errands (including a smog check) yesterday, and I looked through my Google Maps "Want to go" restaurants that I saved, and happened upon King's Burger from watching this video 3 months ago. I made the drive on my newly repaired car to keep testing the starter I replaced by myself earlier that morning, and man, was the drive worth it. I drove 36 minutes back home and tried that #4 burger, and dang, the piles of hot meat and melted cheese, that juice and grease really satisfied my errand hunger! The chicken teriyaki plate was all right, though. Of course, the burgers are what the restaurant is best known for. Thank you so much for recommending this place. Although it's far, I am willing to go try them again if I'm in the area!

Orale Baja Mexican Restaurant - Great Fish Burritos. You can choose from Tilapia, Salmon, Red Snapper, Breaded Cod, or Shrimp. Their orange sauce is really good as well. Amato's Cheesesteaks - Get a shorty as their half and whole is way to big. Besides the works cheese stakes I also get their Chicken Parmesan sandwich. Bertucelli's La Villa Gourmet - Their Ravioli is great but definitely get the Chris Combo sandwich. When the 49ers found out about this sandwich I believe they said they wont go to a game without eating one. A Slice of New York - Great pizza you can get by the slice. Hunan Taste Restaurant - Ate here all the time when i worked near by. Their Curry Chicken over rice is so delicious. So is their Meat Pie.
