Had one of these sandwiches about 2 years ago. It was amazing and now I want another one.
can you tell me,how much
Just give me that end bit with sone of those potatoes 😍😛👌🇬🇧
Visited San Francisco for several years, this is the most memorable we had at the farmers market on Saturdays. It is not the same beautiful vacation destination. Thomas your the maestro!
10 bucks. Not bad. Actually all their prices are reasonable.
Huh, lived here for 50 years, never heard of it...
I'm with you. Worked in the SF FiDi for 30+ years and I never heard of this also.
RUclips clickbait titles…
Clearly you're not living 😂
@@maozhong88 Clearly you work for this unknown sandwich place
Yeah, born and raised here since the 60s and I’ve never heard of it either.
There’s Roli Roti in Sky River Casino in Elk Grove too. The porchetta sandwich is really good along with the potatoes. Have has it a couple of times. Haven’t had the chicken yet.
Whaaaat? I don’t go to casinos but thanks for the info. Thats def a shorter trip! Btw, does SR allow kids inside? I swear we were told no before so I wonder if that’s changed
Probably over ten years ago when i worked in the financial district they had a truck there. Their food legit.
Acme sweet deli roll.....best sandwich roll 😅
they look awesome, the pork though....pretty plain jane
Never heard of it, but I may try it tomorrow for lunch.
Yummy. The chicken and potatoes with rosemary salt is the bomb. Usually get them at Serramonte Farmers market on Thursdays. This sandwich is new to me. Looks good got to try it.
wow, Wow, WOW
That one pork thing flipping and flopping around on the rotisserie gave me the willies.
Their Chickens are delicious as well, I miss being in the City
I Love this Man 😋
That sandwich towards the end of the video isn't a 9/10
It's a friggin 10 + 😃😋👍🏽🎉
Love Roli Roti but honestly their rack of ribs is better than the porchetta. Naturally the porchetta is a showstopper and only found at the Ferry Bldg Farmers Market, but for overall meat and flavor - I'd go with the ribs every time
Quite the truck you got there.
Ok, I moved to east of Sac and haven’t been back to the Bay Area after 50 years there and now I have to…I have to get one of these immediately…
Roli roti is so good but the chicken is better than the Porchetta. Pop in the ferry building, get some sourdough, bbq sauce, and garlic salt. Then put the garlic salt on the sourdough with some butter or olive oil, toast it, throw some chicken on, and add a layer of bbq sauce. Best sandwich, just trust
Looks like Cebuchon😊
The chef is Swiss, specifically Swiss-German according to his accent and the German he speaks. 🇨🇭
ACME baking products are the best too. Also, located in the different Farmers Market around the City.
OMG. How hungry am I?
they got it sorted
Is this by the Ferry Plaza?
Where is the exact location in SF?is it the same spot daily??
Looks more like a pork loin topped with a little porchetta sandwich.
It's pork loin, not tenderloin for sure.
@@angrytater2456 Right? 🤷🏾♂️🤣
@@skizztrizz4453 A lot of people nowadays seem to make that mistake.
That's pork loin, not pork tenderloin.
wait. . . is the chicken rotisserie dripping on the porchetta? yikes
Porchetta is not made from porktenderloin. In this case it is made from stuffed pork loin. BIG DIFFERENCE
“San Francisco’s MOST FAMOUS Sandwich”
“America’s first gourmet rotisserie food truck”
Three decades in the Bay Area. 28 years in San Francisco. I’ve seen the name Roli Roti around. Never tried it. Definitely not the “most famous”, neither the “first gourmet rotisserie food truck”
Two very bold and very false claims to make in this city.
It’s the dirty Sanfrancisco streets for me.
So much cross contamination 😂
WHAT THE HELL I AM VEGAN.........................................................................😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬
Foolish man trying to show off.
Yes the fool tieing up the meat, and takes the Knife off the guy that was going to cut it..
He may own the show, but the real workers were busy elsewhere...
IMHO.
We would vacation in SF (brother still lives there).. A city gone bad for sure... And then a treasure rolling around in a food truck ...
excellent product, but not most famous
How the heck can you call that a food truck? Ridiculous.
Comes with a free side of Listeria..
What did it cost the operator to buy off the health officer?
Couldn't hear a goddamn thing anyone said. Amateur.
uh... SF's 'MOST FAMOUS"? I grew up in the city and have lived there most of my life. There is nothing 'famous' about this other than maybe the upset stomach you'll have after. BTW, grease is not a condiment.
I don’t see anything that would make your stomach upset
To much fat for me and grease on a sandwich. I'll pass.
Felt the same, not wanting a mouth full of that. Then thinking Mmmm, a cold banh mi dac biet sounds so much better.
I live a block away ! It's a FILTHY DUMP.
DON'T GO
Sure buddy
How long has this famous sandwich been around? I lived there from 68 to 95 and never heard of this.
LMAO, I grew up in SF and worked in DTSF for over 10 years, until 2009, never heard of this place either.
Raw chicken dripping onto the ready-to-serve food on that rotisserie. I'll pass.
my thoughts exactly sir
Sure. Ofcourse you do not know anything about foodsafety. Any drippings are immediately cooked and evaporated.
The Fat of the Chicken yes, but i am glad you pass .... more for me then 😋
The potatoes are on a flat top. So what's the problem again?
I've had it a few times. Didn't get sick. It has been years but I didn't remember there being porchetta. Just the chicken and taters.
that raw chicken juice dropping on all the food.
And then it gets cooked 😵💫
First time seeing a stacked rotisserie?
Spinning animal meat and carcasses over heat. It’s like a really morbid Ferris wheel. Damn if I’m not hungry! MH
There’s some questionable safe food handling going on in the video
Looks delicious but you will never catch me in that shlthole SF.
Managed to watch 1minute & then had enough of the stupid awful music !!!
He made a complete dogs ear 05:52 stringing up the pork, It's easier, neater and less wastleful to do individual slip nots
Looks like any other rotisserie.
Nothing special , and I’m sure it’s pretty good.
Kinda cheap with the pork meat.
Plus that center loin is coming out Raw? Seriously? No thanks...
You are straight tripping
THAT PORK IS STILL RAW! You can get sick from that! I would rather buy the pork belly roll at the Filipino places like Cebu Lechon in Hayward. Filipinos know how to cook pigs the right way!
Cross contamination everywhere
The string in a metal bowl keeps the flow organized and cleaner
Ugh,raw chicken dripping all over raw pork-no way would I eat this! Can you say cross contamination? Gordon Ramsey would be furious!🤬
You have no idea what you are talking about….😂😂😂
@@LorettaofPalmSpringsAgreed!
I wonder how many times a day that place gets robbed.
It doesn't look tender at all.
It's not sanitary to use the bun for the sandwich to scrape the cutting board for spilled juices from the pork I can still see a pinkish color from the center of the pork loin.
Pork no longer needs to be cooked well done. There haven’t been any cases of trichinosis in decades.
Pink doesn’t mean it’s undercooked. I’m guessing you only eat well done burgers and steaks as well?
Looks burnt to me
That looks like it comes from Tennessee, not San Francisco. Disgusting.
Does it come with human feces scrapped off the SF sidewalk?
dont eat or sell pork sir
Why we like it
Muslims ,jews and vegans are missing out!
You cant eat real meat in Kalifornia. That shits gotta be made outta plants and bugs. signed - Gavin
GAAAAAVIIIIINNN
Obviously these people have never had real Italian porchetta. The whole idea of porchetta is for the crispy outside, and juicy inside of the crackling, ie skin. Most of what I see here is burnt. Also raw chickens dripping on sliced meat being heated up before serving - no thanks
Smells like shit...but it's not the sandwich!
I mean, it's San Francisco. This is probably the most sanitary thing in the city.
