Awesome! We dont need modern super sharp lenses, when this kind of vintage lenses can create such a beautiful look. That why I shoot vintage lenses on my Hasselblad X1D II Medium format camera.
nice shots and colors but I didn't like the grain profile. Maybe eliminating the grain on shadows and only using mid tones could be better. And maybe smaller particles would be less distracting.
For this particular video with all the detail I had to increase the intensity and size of the grain. I originally tried the same settings I used on my previous canon FD video. But youtube basically destroyed it. This one took a bit of fine tuning. and a 5k upload.
Thanks! Yep all of the takumar shots are without pro mist. Wide open it can be very dreamy and soft. The shots I put in at the end with the tokina 11-20mm and sigma 50-100mm have a 1/8 pro mist. Also forgot to mention they all have an IR cut filter. My latest video I tested out some more takumars with a 1/8 pro mist which I kind of regret using now.
@@austinscherzberg4569 They stopped making these lenses looong before the ef mount became a thing. I believe this particular supter takumar model ran from 1962 to 1971. This one uses the standard m42 screw mount. You can find m42 to ef adapters for very cheap on ebay, like $5 a ring.
@@Vibingwithfred Nope this is pre EF, it's a fairly cheap lens you can find for under $100 used and adapter ring is only like $10 as well. Very cheap start if you're getting into vintage glass.
Beautifully framed shots but the grain feels too intense and artificial to where its pulling you away from the natural characteristics of the lens itself
I hate super sharp lenses and also soften them up quite a bit. Sharp lenses ruin the beauty of so many scenes with too much detail. I would take this over any Sony lens, any day of the week.
It's more than beautiful. The composition, the color grading and the music...it touched something in my soul.

genuinely some of the most beautiful shots I've seen! The grading and atmosphere is beautiful!
very beautiful shots here!
Love the video clips here! I have the same Takumar lens and can't wait to try it with my Fuji X-S10 and X-T3! Thanks for sharing this video.
Really, REALLY, beautiful shots right here. The choice of music also amplified the feeling here. You deserve more subscribers.
I have this lens and I never shoot with it....thats about to change! beautiful shots man!!
Simply beautiful work!
Wow!
Perfect.
MERAVIGLIA 🤗

.. very nice 👍
wow, its perfect
man!
The power of Takumar. Really nice! Just the grain should be better integrated in the RGB channels/ Highlights/midd/ shadows. Looks very flat.
I'd be really curious to see a version without the digital grain, which is rendered terribly by RUclips.
for me is to grainy as i know that the lesn is realy bright, but overal looks great :)
park videos are the best espescially yours
damn dude.
Also, what music do you use in the video? It sounds so calming!
love you ( post production paris )
Amazing work. How did you adapt the Takumar lens to the Blackmagic?
Amazing footage dude 🔥🔥 how did manage to add grain to the video? RUclips compression would crush that.

Damn these shots look gorgeous, so the lens has that pleasing soft image without any pro mist?

@@joshuadeboervisuals so what mount is your lens ? or the adapter you have? do they make that lens in EF mount ? i cant seem to find any

đẹp thật
Did you need a adapter for the lense to use on the bmpcc 6k
Yep, just a simple m42 to ef mount adatper. Don't use any adapter that has glass in it for m42 mount. It will look terrible.
@joshuadeboervisuals ah so this is not a. Ef lense huh?

Did you use any speed booster?
Nope, no speed boosters.
