I can relate so much to not wanting to be with people and not wanting to be alone.

Yes! #5 the disorientation is palpable which leads to #6 feeling like I am just playing a part and (acting) like I think others want/expect me to act
#7 Feeling like my world is built like a house of cards and stressing for the day it falls flat#8 difficulty setting lofty goals because even if I reach them, what's the point? #8 Happy times are infrequent and dampened #9 Completeness and joy are only words, a phantom of the mind. #10 Common tasks can become monumental undertakings especially those of the self-care variety.

Thank you for your kindness in sharing this.
I have post-traumatic stress disorder and have been in recovery for years to feel like I can live in reality and be myself. Recently a friend of mine's son was killed in a car accident and she is in shock. None of her family members seemed to understand her behavior because it was so unusual after the trauma.
I was honored to be able to help them understand why she was doing what she did when they asked me.
I told them her whole life changed in one day and she's trying to do her best to make sense of what happened.
I felt honored to know at least as much as I do about trauma to be of help to the family and her.

Not feeling I have the right to continue to talk about my grief because my dog died 7 months ago. I still cry! Some people do not believe an animal companion is just as important as a human being, sometimes more so!!!. I loved Brooklyn so much. My home is so quiet now and he never barked in my home. Thank you for your videos.

Me too, I find myself searching for her. I look down the hallway thinking she’ll be there looking at me, I look up at windows thinking I’ll see her looking at me. The heartbreak is so deep, I’m so sad, I’m distant, I’m spinning in place. I don’t fear death and when it comes for me I’ll be happy.

@@Lisa-ek7bm you know I have thought of ending my life more times in the last 4 months then I ever did before he died
But I just can't do it. I stay inside and have not left the house . Thank God for understanding children . I know this sounds crazy but a big part of me believes if I stay just the way he left me then he will be able to find me
I don't have any family that I can talk to or friends
But I was told it is my fault on all of it . Depression is what I have read is wrong with me. I say no I am just tired of trying to live.

@@Lisa-ek7bmI am afraid that if i talk to someone they will put me in a mental hospital . So i just stay to myself and secluded , but it is very lonesome when you know that nobody in your family cares . I think I have had so much happen to me, over the years and not dealing with it. When he died it done something to me where i don't have the desire to hardly get up . I would probably have psychiatrist needing a psychiatrist when she got done seeing me . I am 50 years old and feel like i am a whole lot older. It was great talking to you and if you ever want to talk just let me know thank you for being kind and listening

I felt the same way. When I decided to visit my sister and had to catch a plane, I was so broken up about leaving our home which is a safe haven for me. I've since learned to ask my deceased husband to go with me, even if it's just to get groceries 🙏. I glad I do it bc once I was almost in a car accident. I feel that knowing he is "present" helps keep me safe.

I agree with everything you said especially #5. And allow me to add something - maybe it's not even to be added to a list like this but still important- when someone is talking about the loved one they lost please just listen to them. If I am talking about my mom let me say everything I need to say without taking over the conversation and making it about your mom. If you want to talk about your mom I understand that and I support you, but pick some other time please. Thank you. ❤

I definitely don’t want to be with rude self centered people when I’m grieving and those people make me extremely angry 😡 that I feel like seriously lashing out at them with my words. I will make an effort not to do that though if my parents pass away since it won’t make them proud of my actions.
