Ur expenses are equal to that of living a middle class life in nyc sir , a bit exaggerated I would say, and that’s not to say that u purchased your home , if there’s a mortgage a lot more. When the average local make a half of that and lives comfortably.
Thanks for the great cost of living summary. The only item which isn't in line with expectation is the gated community electricity cost. Yours seem a bit less.
Hi Ken, I made an average throughout the year, as stated higher in summer due to ac costs and lower in winter as you'd pretty much expect. I'm really careful with electricity consumption, energy efficient lights, monitoring pool pump, rarely use the pool light and don't use a dryer. Of course it could easily increase if I didn't do the above.
Also energy efficient ac units, cleaned and serviced each year to optimize functionality. Set at low setting 16 to cool the room for maybe an hour, then raise to 23 or 24 helps reduce costs considerably.

Hi Scott, thanks for the kind words. Basically running one ac in the bedroom and during the summer months an ac in the living room. New ac units run quite efficiently, it's the older units that push the costs up. I also neglected to add that in gated communities electricity costs are generally a little higher to cover the community generator operating costs but of course the advantage is having electricity 24/7.

I was wondering if you own a home, what does home owners insurance cost.
It depends of course on the value of the property. I currently pay around U$1,500 pa which provides U$180,000 property coverage and 30k contents, includes hurricane / earthquake coverage.
