They are very young so they have a very long years to live without having a health problems and they can enjoy life to the fullest together and have a good life in the Philippines province .Dumaguete is a good place to live but thinking that my parents have a big property surrounded by coconut and banana trees facing the ocean and once my mother is gone then i will take control of our property instead of buying a property somewhere when i retire early. I missed the Philippines lifestyle and its just two more years then im going to live in the Philippines I will just pay the electric and water and foods thats all
As a Filipino, our monthly expenses averages between $550 to $650, but we are able to live comfortably. Our home is equipped with full air conditioning and we have access to fiber internet. Despite working from home, I am still able to provide support for my parents. The local wet and dry markets in my area offer affordable prices, allowing us to consume fish and meat on a daily basis. Although we don't dine out often, I believe that restaurants are often overrated as my mother's cooking is just as good, if not better, than some of the restaurants in Metro Manila.. hahaha
As a person who's lived in the Philippines for 5yrs.....one of the coolest things about the women are that they have a love of finding bargains and saving money is almost fun to them as opposed to western women who spend like mad 👍🏾😂
It’s just how appreciative Filipina women are which makes me really like them. Western women want everything, now, and crap on you if you don’t earn $500k a year
I'm new here but this is what I noticed....as you speak she rubs your back showing support, you can tell that she's listening to you not just on her phone even when your just speaking to the camera by the way you can see her think about what you just said and nod in agreement & lastly the way she had something (poop) on her, didn't just rub it on your shirt as an initial reaction and as soon as she noticed it might have hit your shirt she was all over that thing trying to help you. That was what I observed within the 1st few minutes. You better take care of that woman she is special & you can tell even after 10yrs she is still "In Love With You"!!! Congratulations to both of you!
@@ItsMe_Philippines buddy if she does what all philipino women do, and destroys your life. dont sweat it, it happens so often they have a stereotype and you can also report them to a database, like they ACTUALLY have a database of phlip women who are terrible. Thats how bad it is.

Shes adorable, and clearly very much in love. Makes me think there's a chance to find true love if i move to Philippines and not just a girlfriend whos looking to be taken care of. God is good you're a lucky guy, i can tell you're humble and grateful. Congrats man

I really like that fact that while you are talking, she is rubbing your back. She is clearly affectionate and loves you. Finding that in the west, especially after a couple of years, is very hard to find. Congratulations to you both.
I appreciate your honesty. A lot of people will give foreigners the idea they can live comfortably on some ridiculously low amount. I lived in the Philippines for several years and you hit the nail on the head, it depends on your life style. Some people can live in a nipa hut and others in a high rise.
Exactly you are 100% right. I know friends that need to be in the AC all day and have their meals at western style restaurant. So their cost of living is on the higher end. Others are comfortable with anything above the poverty level. Everyone’s different!
I’m surprised, the Philippines is more expensive than I expected. I spend about $2000 per month in Ecuador, but that’s supporting a family of 5 and school is by far our biggest expense. When I look at only my personal expenses it’s about $300 per month.
This is the REAL American Dream right here. Moving out of the U.S. to a country that actually has affordable housing even if it's a beach front property.
Sorry, but that's not the American dream. The American dream is NOT to move out of the USA to another country in order to be able to afford living and housing. The ACTUAL American dream is to be able to have these types of expenses WITHIN the United States of America to able to live and have that American Dream. And yes I am American, I am Native American Indian aka Indigenous of USA. My ancestors tried to teach this to the people who came to the USA. But instead they invaded and raped and killed my ancestors and turned this country into an unaffordable country, that ravished this country with extremely expensive housing, that are now forcing American Citizens out of the USA, in order to be able to afford housing, marriage and proper living. Just saying 🤷♀
Proud of you brother. You're living the dream. And you deserve it. Thankyou for the informative, funny, and interesting video. Keep making em. And I know it's probably cliche but it's actually good to see a woman who respects and loves her husband. It's something I just miss seeing in today's society. So, thx for the reminder. To all of us. Bless you both!
Oh men, then Menschen ALSO to respect the woman, we doing a lot more then you, children, cooking, cleaning, and love, what do you think a men could, would do that? NEVER
I'm an American woman and I think it is great that American men are finding good partners elsewhere. Philippina women are not door mats to walk all over but they understand mutual respect and how to make their man happy. They are the traditional wife that is lacking here. Yes, we have many trad wives but they all marry young so if you are older or divorced, they are hard to find. Men deserve respect or they will look elsewhere. These women are strong, wise, healthy and beautiful.
This was so good. Love how Cory was in a zone and Rachel is just doing her thing. I would pay to just sit and watch these two interact with each other all day.

A ton of information here! This is actually a more apples to apples version of monthly living costs for my Filipina wife and I as we are going to do the exact same thing. We are building a house, installing solar, having a well with filter system, and a large garden; so our monthly costs should be about the same. I appreciate you guys sharing your expenses with us.
I’m happily married to a Filipina in Kansas City for the past 30 years. We are nearing retirement age and considering moving to the Philippines. Thanks for the cost of living data.
Excellent video from someone who has obviously done extensive research on all aspects of living in Cebu and the varying costs there. I live in rural Cebu and have been here for many years and being Scottish, I have probably followed a somewhat more 'Careful' approach to expenditure so that being said, I hope no one objects to me saying that I live very healthily with my GF and my 12 year old son on around $150 ( US Dollars) a week, easily. Our house and 600 square meters of land is costing just under $15,000. My son who has a Philippine mother will get the land in his name when he is 18 so I have 6 years to pay off the balance. I'm not sure if this helps anyone but I hope it does. Many thanks for allowing my post and take care. Ian
Once you go to the Philippines you can never be the same its like magic, the ppl, the doctors, the night-life, the food, feeling safe, no stress, can not wait to move 100% so i can live and not just surviving

My Philippines Home was built & paid cash, Food-$400, $100 eat out, Electric $180 (air-con), Internet $40, water $10, Transportation $30 + misc $200 (medical & medicine for wife’s father) $200 additional misc. Our total $1110.00. However, with retirement, we save more than what we spend 💞 We are in Cavite. No debt. Nice Video. 💗
Just got back from a month in Sta Rosa. I took a day trip to Cavite for my Step Dad who visited their during Vietnam. I was dropped off at City Hall by Grab ride share..Of course the tourism center in the city park said the base was open and you could visit the old fort on base....Not the case...Needless to say my few block, 20 peso, ride by Tricycle was for not! The ride resulted in a very confused gate guard leading me to his JOOD who was not happy an tourist was attempting to visit. At the end of my visit to Cavite, I was a little surprised grab will drop you off in the city but no drivers want to pick up anyone! I had to take a trike from city hall to the bus station and take a bus to PITX. A bit of an adventure.
That is under $600 per person and maybe $100 of $600 going to in-laws and this man is living and eating well If you build a properly designed passive house with some solar panels, you could cut your electric bill to under $50 Cooking at home, buying from the local maket, growing some fruits and vegetables your food bill could be under $150 Restaurants a wild card $100 to $1000 Single women , alcohol are two more wild cards I spend next to nothing on both unless they are my wife. Married 20 to 30 years, 1 million is ok. Been there done that no regrets

My husband when he was alive and kids was still with us, living and school expenses about four to five thousand dollars. No mortgage, we have a beachfront property. Now a widow living alone with two helpers, costing me about $2,000 to $2,500, very comfortable life.
Wow. Ok, you are definitely in the mid to upper echelons financially. That's probably twice as much as the average Filipino family of four needs to survive. Truly a comfy life. I'm happy for you!
Thank you for info. I have that with savings left over so I think I can have a good comfortable living arrangement there. Whereas, 70K ISD annual is poverty retirement in most of America 😢 If I work to maybe 67-71 I can double it and be Ok but “what an adventure” the Philippines would be at 62yo I can’t decide! But will think it over for another year.
Thanks for the info, yes I've seen vids saying don't bother unless you've got $2000-$2500 pcm which seems expensive to me. After 3 months our average (excluding rental which is $500 for a bungalow in Moalboal) is about $800 pcm, eat out once per week, but we take pleasure in the simple things in life such as the beach, the mountains and the generally beautiful scenery. Guess it all depends on your tastes and lifestyle!
Awesome! I love the fact that so many American's are making the choice to move to Asia. Being half Filipino I would love to be close to my family in addition to the tropical weather and beaches! I've been watching Lillys Life about a woman who married a local and was from Maryland! I'm so inspired

The cost of living anywhere is pretty subjective. I live in Thailand and the cost here seem somewhat lower. I for one appreciate the amount of time that conceptualization, scripting, videography, editing and ULing takes! The information was amazing as was the videography. Thank you sir.
Yes however the language is a challenged. Thai is cheaper since I am in Malaysia but communication wise. While Philippines might be more but like here English speaking. Thus making communication more easy.

I just love how you show everyone how to save money and live good at the same time . Hello guys ! I’m a Pilipina and married to a retired Military and retired LMPD in Louisville Ky. We’re in our 60’S and both still works also about to collect each of our SSN benefits . Now days everything is way too much in America. I have been trying to convince my husband to move to the Philippines and just enjoy our retirement for the rest of our lives ?! We have two grown daughters one is in her 30’s and the younger one is in her 20’s . He’s just concerned that his military benefits will not work in the Philippines?? But I have seen many retired military moved to the Philippines and doing just great . So I guess , I have to do more research on his worries. It’s been a while I have not seen my home country . It was 1972 since I left the Philippines, so it looks like a lot have been changed for the better on most of the country . I’m a US citizen since 1992 and I hope it’s not to hard for me to go back home ?! But with all those crazy viruses, it’s been kind of hard to travel now days . I wish someday my husband will come with me to visit my birther home land ?! Nice blog guys thank you for the tips !!! Happy new year and more amazing wishes and blessings to all of you out there !!!!
It's a fact that her benefits will work in the Philippines. Explain to him the cost of living and SHOW him the great places there are to live. You can put together a slide show and make a literal break down of the expenses. I think when he sees how much more he can get for his money he might be swayed. i'm a veteran too and I've reach out to other veterans overseas, you can get your benefits, you just have to update your address etc etc
Consider easing him into it with a trip to start with. Maybe 3-6 months. If he likes it,... extend to a year or so. It will likely help him get over his fears and help you both decide if it is right for you both.
@salbill4484 he means VA benefits. He gets free Healthcare from being a veteran that he wouldn't receive in PH. Why would he downgrade from free American Healthcare to Filipino Healthcare at his age. You want open heart surgery in manila?
My wife, for 2 years now is so awesome and beautiful. I can't keep my hands off her. The great thing is that she doesn't mind. God has blessed me so much with her ❤.
November 2019 we travelled to the Philippines to visit my family in Mindanao and we also owned a house there, (where I was born and raised) hubby wasn't comfortable staying in Mindanao, so we traveled to Clark then the pandemic came and we can't leave going back to the US, so we indeed up staying around Clark for about 2 years. We rented a house which we paid $800 a month, car payment was 34,464 plus light and water and internet. So our budget every month around $2k a month including food. During the pandemic no one was allowed to go out to eat, so I cooked every meal. That saved us quite a bit. We were renting 4 bedroom house in a gated community that's why our rent was high. We lived comfortably.
That makes sense and sounds about right. There are some areas down on that island that are not as safe as people say they are. Prices are also higher in Clark especially when you add in a gated community.
Great presentation! I always add the total cost of my house if I paid cash divided by the years as if financed into my monthly budget to get a true monthly cost. Very few expats can pay cash to build their dream retirement home. Housing here is more often than not either stagnant or a loss due to several factors. Housing here also does not appreciate as it does in the US, raw land does in the right locations however foreigners cannot own land. Having no intention of eking by in my limited retirement years I’m the retiree that spends for comfort. Believe me when I say, comfort cost a lot here, at the high side or more of the chart shown. Reality is it will always cost more than you think, plan for $$$, but expect $$$$$ sometimes.
Our budget here in the Cavite province is very close to yours. Averages about $700 per month. We also built and paid for our house in advance. We live a simple comfortable life. Our biggest expense besides food is our electric which is about $100 per month 1/2 of that is because of our 2 1/2 HP airconditioner. It's been cooler this month and the electric should only run about $60.
That’s great to hear and I love the comment. I’ve seen a few videos were guys were persistent but you need to $2500 and I was very confused by that. Cavite is in my list of places to see!
Nice helpful video, myself and my Filipino wife will be retiring to the the Philippines in June. Like you we already have our house built in Tagaytay so our house cost eventually after finishing buying everything including a car (which is already budgeted for) will be zero. Moving to another country is not a problem for either of us as I am a Brit living in Iceland for the past 37 years plus we got married here 5 years ago, that was when wife/then fiancee came her.

This was very well done, and wise to include a wide range of lifestyles. Isn't it wonderful being in love? I can tell. So are we! Fifteen years married. 2 kids. We have a house on Mindanao but mostly live in remote rural Alaska. It's expensive. We're averaging $1,800/month on groceries. But the work is just way too good to retire. He's investing $35k/year. We have no debts and he will have 2 pensions in two years. Growing up my family of 7 lived on 300 pesos a day when my father had work. When he didn't have work I went to bed hungry a lot. Now I have an airplane parked in my front yard, lol. Isn't it crazy the American women are just handing these guys to us by being so hideous? Thank you, American women!

My monthly costs in Kalibo Aklan is &200 USD/ month. I have a 2 bedroom apartment with a swimming pool next door. Cant complain. This includes the Rent (7kphp) electricity (i don't use AC 2200Php), Fiber optic internet (1400php) water and other small maintenance costs. Food really depends. Can cook at home... can eat in a crenderia (150php for two people) or can eat at a Japanese place for 900php. My food and outing costs definitely vary from day to day and moods but Can really keep it low it need be or can splurge. I teach English online and am making about 2000USD/mo. I realize this is a lil out of the norm but without sacrificing anyout except for air conditioning. I do well enough with fans, open windows and the cool night breeze at night. Transportation is 50php to get into the capital city and 100php getting out. Don't want a car or motor. Its easier to get through traffic with a motorela and its money that continues to go back into the community. I go into town once or twice a week. Health insurance is 55/month. Cheers for your video.

Thanks for the honest break down of cost of living. I live in Canada, my monthly costs including everything plus free health care is $1700 to $2000 CAD or $1300 to $1500 USD. I don't think I could move anywhere that I could save enough to make it worth my while, the deal breaker is free health care.
Thank you Cory and Rachel for honestly presenting a realistic budget plan. ITs very helpful to see and understand a real budget and real spending habits and how that spending actually matches the budget. I am in my early 60's and looking to retire in the Philippines soon useing mostly SS and savings. It looks to me that living in the Provence is the way to go for several reasons. First its less expensive, second I prefer the country, mountains or beach and NOT a city or major town. I also like the idea of useing solar and having my own food, fruits and vegetable garden as well as chickens for meat and eggs sounds. Where do you get your water? Do you use rain water, or get from a stream or river, or have it directly plumbed to the house via a well system? And what about sewage, do you use a septic tank or do you have direct access to a sewer line? Also, are you outside of Dumaguete in the mountains or country? Meaning, you seem to have a realy nice clean and large home, clean property, and are thriving very well. Is the internet well enough for watching videos and uploading your RUclips channel? DO you think you will get a Starlink package and start useing that for internet and web phone access? SOme have told me that the advantage you and they have is by having a Filipina wife or girlfriend, that she is able to find the good deals, good people to do thiongs for you, and that she knows where to stay away from. But, one should never rush into a relationship there as they can use you and suck you dry of all your money. SO its a balance, have to take time to get to know somone and then find the right place like yours. Still, would like to not waste years looking and then never get the right home and lifestyle I dream about. I feel a wife or girlfriend is NOPT absolutely necessary to fulfill that dream, but its very nice to have a companion and not be alone of course. Love your videos and look forward to learning as much as I can over the next year or so before making any final decisions. God Bless you both and keep smile'n! (Yes, that means Rachel can keep laughing and doing funny things, its part of her adorable personality that we all love)
We have fiber at the house, so for what I’m paying I’m very happy with having unlimited fast Internet. The water, comes from a while that we had dug through a holding tank that we made. We do have town water hooked up for emergency, but rarely use it are drinking water comes from large bottles but they cost me 20 piece or less when I buy them in bulk.
It seems like you have a great plan that's paying off very well. I'm considering living in the country with my Fillipina in a few years after I retire and hope to live a modest and quiet life there.
Great info and well put together tyvm, also glad you got her to talk a bit she is adorable and I hope to get lucky with a similar situation. take care.
Interesting video. I was mentally comparing it with living in Bulgaria and there are some similarities in costs - again, very dependent on what kind of lifestyle you want to live and that, in my experience, is the main driver. Congrats on the homesteading you're doing! Sounds like a great situation!

I’ve been here for 2 weeks and after upfront costs of about $300 I’m budgeting about $900 a month. It’s really simple, just watch and observe how Filipinos live and copy that. That $900 includes a p500/$9 a day budget which will be less some days and more on others. I did the very same in Thailand and lived comfortably. I could easily budget for at least double but I find that living in different countries it’s a better experience to live like the locals. Pro tips: you can spend p400 at Starbucks for coffee and a food item or join the locals at 7/11 and spend p150 for the same. You can pay p150 for a short tricycle ride or pay p30 for a LONG jeepney ride and meet some cool people on the way. Food, go to Robinsons and buy a whole chicken and some eggs every other day with some vegetables. Lazada has many things, including food items like nuts and seeds, for cheap. The Philippines is amazing (in large part because of the people) and it’s what you make of it. The staring is going to take a little getting used to though but it’s cool. I’ll be at a crowded place looking at my phone and when I look up sometimes I’ll notice people staring at me. In most places I’m the only foreigner and I like it that way…. So don’t ask my location 😂
Where in php are you... 🤔 I got $1000 a month. Here in Thailand I'm very comfortable on that, some months only spend $800 and not missing out on anything. Thing is though I'm getting a bit bored , really fancy php but accommodation holding me back... Can't afford to burn to much cash in hotels etc initially
Thank you for the break down. I would be interested to hear (if you know) the differences in COL for various areas of PI. I have relatives in the Cebu area in Lapu Lapu, Mandaue, Toledo.. and have been there / have a general idea but I have no idea how that compares with costs towards the middle or north end of PI. I've been to Olongapo several times (navy) but so many years ago the prices I remember would be out of date
Great video and information. It was fun watching the two of you explaining the cost averages and what you two spend. Excellent planning on preparing and executing on your move.
I've been looking at living in Cebu , IT Park fully furnished condos (2bedroom) reasonably priced at 400-500usd/month. Should be really easy to stay under 1200usd/month even in IT Park. Just don't be a sucker and go to starbucks everyday and only eat out once a week. I was shocked at how busy these coffee places are in the SM Malls in Cebu. Filipinos spending a fortune on coffees. Maybe just the rich ones are visiting the malls to begin with. It really adds up though.
Completely agree with you you can rent a smaller place there and if you eat it most of the time by getting your food outside of the city and be OK. Shopping inside the grocery stores and and always eating out in that area will be costly. I think it’s funny that coffee prices here are the same as the US!
One needs to remember about medical and dental costs. Storm damage if you own your own home. And then there’s always the wife - girlfriend’s family needing to be bailed out for this or that. This is where I lot of expats get into trouble there are times when you will need to say no know matter how bad it may seem for them.
Great video, the information provided is very helpful. Your opening comment about the 3 factors to consider is very true, especially planning/preparation. There are plenty of examples of monthly cost of living videos out there, but not much in the way of "start up costs" .....what one may spend to get settled in once they have arrived. Just like your cost breakdowns, the figures can be all over the place (renting vs buying for accommodation, transportation, etc.).
Thank you very much. I really do appreciate the positive comment. Most of the videos I had watched had their total cost and just select few others in their area. Philippines has 7000 Islands so you really need to gather the info from multiple locations.
I agree, startup costs can be what makes or breaks your PI experience. You may know what you want but not how to get it. Learning something for the first time involves lots of mistakes so make sure you have an adequate allowance for the learning costs. Also it might be wise to realize most things in life are not so green on the other side of the fence as you believed they were.
I really enjoy your style of presentation Cory, started watching because I was curious on your lifestyle change, really got hooked with all the information you provided on the building of your house I really like your house and your attention to detail and not trying to bs the viewers and provide just the facts Thanks I wish you both all the best (which I think you have because you had a well thought out plan Happy New Year

41 and you're already retired, that's the way to go. We live in San Diego, CA and hopefully we can retire in like 6 years and your video will really help me persuade my wife to go back there and retire.
I’ve watched many of your videos as I find them very informative. We have land in a gated community in CDO Mindanao. We’re planning to build our house in the next few years. Unfortunately we’re still 5-10 years away from retirement. As we get closer to building I’ll have to rewatch your house building and solar videos. Your monthly estimates seem to be spot on. When I move there I have to remember to live more like a Filipino and less like an American 😂. My girlfriend has been living in the United States for over 30 years (originally from Pagadian City)so I think that she’s going to have a more difficult time adjusting to living there than I will 😂. Keep up the great videos!

She’s also going to have trouble with the heat and Filipino Time (people always late) as she’s very punctual. I love warm weather and just wear shorts and a t-shirt everywhere I go.
Hi team. I have been on line dating a really lovely lady in Cebu since the beginning of the year and I'm now coming over to meet her in person finally this November. Thank you for the honest look in to your lives. It has given me other things to consider and I hope make our lives together easier. Thanks both of you. You have inspired me and I have started a 2 year plan to relocate to Southeast Asia. I'm divorced 60 recently retired and had no plan for what's next. I plan to live in Thailand or The Philippines. I don't want to be a SEXPAT, something about that disturbs me, I'm not even sure I can put it in words. Too many years working in a cube has taken it's toll on me so optimizing my health is my most important step.
I would love to move to the Philippines. The cost of living, the constant warm weather, and beautiful, loyal women. I’m also from Illinois but I lived downstate. Do you have a video on the best way to meet Filipinas? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also can someone do coding with a U.S. company there?? That’s the route I’d be taking. Thx in advance
Yes you can and I would suggest looking online to get to know someone. Visiting first would probably be best so that you understand the country/culture.

Hey Cory, nice breakdown and comparison. If I could offer a suggestion, when you're giving averages, you can also include the median which will give you a more balanced idea of what people's costs have been. Then you don't have to add caveats about what all kinds of people are saying outside that average - that way people can see the spread (might need to show it graphically, but it makes sense). Just a thought.

But instead they invaded and raped and killed my ancestors and turned this country into an unaffordable country, that ravished this country with extremely expensive housing,

I’m a Filipina was married to an American for 42 years, three kids all grown living abroad. My husband when he was alive and kids was still with us, living and school expenses about four to five thousand dollars. No mortgage, we have a beachfront property. Now a widow living alone with two helpers, costing me about $2,000 to $2,500, very comfortable life.
Great info, thank you
Wow. Ok, you are definitely in the mid to upper echelons financially. That's probably twice as much as the average Filipino family of four needs to survive. Truly a comfy life. I'm happy for you!
Thank you for info. I have that with savings left over so I think I can have a good comfortable living arrangement there.
Whereas, 70K ISD annual is poverty retirement in most of America 😢 If I work to maybe 67-71 I can double it and be Ok but “what an adventure” the Philippines would be at 62yo
I can’t decide! But will think it over for another year.
Are we speaking American dollars? Nobody wants to assume
Completely agree with you that does sound very high, and it is all about lifestyle!
Awesome! I love the fact that so many American's are making the choice to move to Asia. Being half Filipino I would love to be close to my family in addition to the tropical weather and beaches! I've been watching Lillys Life about a woman who married a local and was from Maryland! I'm so inspired

You can tell your husband that at this point there’s over 200,000 foreigners living inside of the Philippines. There’s even a VA office here.

@@ItsMe_Philippines awesome brother. I'm so happy for you. I'm so happy with my Philipina
That is really good advice!

After we paid off the house my husband has gone wild with the meat. He buys a LOT of ribeye steaks. Monster prawns. Lobster tail, crab.

I buy my eggs and chicken from local families for cheaper price and healthier.

Your wife looks content and happy. Honestly what I can see from where you are at right now is a very simple way of living.
We are very happy
Spot on, Yeah I agree with most of the averages on the cost of living. good stuff man!
Thank you!
I agree 👍🏿 💯
I agree, startup costs can be what makes or breaks your PI experience. You may know what you want but not how to get it. Learning something for the first time involves lots of mistakes so make sure you have an adequate allowance for the learning costs. Also it might be wise to realize most things in life are not so green on the other side of the fence as you believed they were.

If she has to go back to washing cloths by hand…. Might have some issues at home lol
@@ItsMe_Philippines I do the laundry (washing and drying), she does the folding. We’re going to have a washer/dryer as I don’t plan to wash anything by hand. She’s going to have trouble with the slower pace of life. In California we move at a fairly quick pace. In the Filipino provinces life, as you know, moves at a slow pace. She’s also going to have trouble with the heat and Filipino Time (people always late) as she’s very punctual. I love warm weather and just wear shorts and a t-shirt everywhere I go.
@ItsMe_Philippines is there a reason you refer to the woman always washing and cleaning? Why don't you help do that if I may ask??? Hmmm
Hi team. I have been on line dating a really lovely lady in Cebu since the beginning of the year and I'm now coming over to meet her in person finally this November. Thank you for the honest look in to your lives. It has given me other things to consider and I hope make our lives together easier. Marecel is probably going to move to New Zealand but a move back to Cebu is a possibility. If we do move back there to live, we will buy you a drink if we bump in to you. Thanks again. Andrew
Happy to hear you found a great girl, Andrew!
I went to the PI in 73 with the Air Force. I was 20 and if I could I would move back at 72. I learned so much in the time I was there and stood me in good with American women. I was married for 44 years. It looks like you have found someone that loves you. Hang on to her.
I will and thank you!
Awesome first hand information guys. Phillipines is looking more and more like a good option for my retirement. I currently live in NC and also own property just outside of San Felipe Mexico where many Phillipinos are also investing due to the relative short distance from CA. Be safe and look forward to future vids. 👍👍
Thank you I really appreciate the positive comment! Definitely come take a visit and let me know your thoughts are if you have any questions reach out to me.

Happy new year
@@ailynjaydeedani4315 Happy new year!
I love how the video started with the sunliht slowly fading and went full night at the end .. did u do it on purpose ? If so ur a gifted cinematographer Cory ❤
No I wish lol. We started at 4:30 and had to stop twice
You seem like a great couple. Arriving in the PH in June. Looking forward to the adventure!
Thank you! And congrats, what island you heading to?
This is what stable, normal personalities and a good married relationship looks like, instead of the craziness you see in America with personalities and parasitical marriages.
Great comment, thank you
it can get major hairy in the Philippines too if you get the wrong girl
@@SwisstedChef2018 Isn't that the case in any country?
Thanks both of you. You have inspired me and I have started a 2 year plan to relocate to Southeast Asia. I'm divorced 60 recently retired and had no plan for what's next. I plan to live in Thailand or The Philippines. I don't want to be a SEXPAT, something about that disturbs me, I'm not even sure I can put it in words. Too many years working in a cube has taken it's toll on me so optimizing my health is my most important step.
Keep a close eye on your health!
You’re not a simp who is driven by tingles and the expulsion of fluids, desperately clinging to the vestiges of youth.
Yeah but that's most western.men who move to SEA from what I observed living there. Bunch of Peter pans!!!
Visiting first would probably be best so that you understand the country/culture.
i suggest you look into companies based within Makati, Taguig, and BGC. very business centered places
Genuinely appreciate how thorough you are about the expenses. And I agree, life is as complicated as you make it.
Thank you and I'm happy to have helped!
100% Agree and this video is great for people coming to the Philippines and want to live here!
Thank you, We made it to help people and show the highs and lows!
Air Force Retiree here. I’m Filipino myself but American Born. I would definitely consider living there. The people are friendly, women are easy and the people are content. Philippines is a hidden gem.
It’s great country to be in
Women are easy? You must be out of your mind they're mostly nice Catholic girls with good values
@@glennbeadshaw727 Relax,That's not what he meant, surely! Easy going, light-hearted, good natured with a positive attitude and totally wholesome people.
@@glennbeadshaw727 I meant they’re easy to get with as long you have money. You can be an old ugly man but if you have money, that’s all it takes. It’s no different with businesses. They’ll cater to customers if they have money.
@@glennbeadshaw727 For lack of better word, they’re simply gold diggers and I have personally proved it every time. It is what it is.
That makes sense. Thank you for the comment. I appreciate it.
Yeah who ever Cory is, he should steal It's me's video and remake it to suit you. 👍
First time viewer and I’m subscribing. Well done. Thank you
Happy to help and thanks for the sub!
Love your channel guys… Im retired military and fed Govt. and have been living in Puerto Rico 23 yrs. Originally from West Virginia. @@ItsMe_Philippines your welcome brother💪🏻💪🏻maybe we will meet one day😆😆😆
All I want is a self sustaining house in the province. If you come out with a video of your total cost after you are finished, I would absolutely appreciate it. Thank you for the fantastic content. You are living me dream.
I’m cold and stressed out in the Midwest. Missouri weather is definitely not for me
We will be doing that in the future!
@@ItsMe_Philippines I appreciate your content more then you know! Thank you for it and thank you for your consistent replies. I still have to be in the US for another 5 or so years however I will be ready to make the permanent move.
Happy holidays and happy new year
I would like to meet you both personally when I get a chance to visit the Philippines. I immigrated to the US in the year 1990 and I think Cory is someone I need to be one of his buddies and friends because he’s genuinely a good person and I wish you both the happiness all years to come. @@ItsMe_Philippines I’m looking at the commercial city of Makati for the first week to catch a good sleep, rest and meet some friends who work near the airport. Then the plan after is to stay about 3 days in Baguio City or Tagaytay then the rest is to meet my siblings and relatives to eat out and finally back in Makati hotel (45 minutes close to the airport)to catch my sleep, shop some souvenirs and stroll a bit in the vicinity.
19:38 You say you've never had a cavity in your life. I only had 3 up to age 53. But then... my wife developed an abcessed tooth that she would not get taken care of, and just by breathing her breath at night, I lost 3 teeth in 6 months.
Its what happens when you get married.
