I own this Tab S 8.4 version. The screen display is the best I've seen on any tablet. Ipad included. There's very little if any drag and the response times are comparable with iPads. Thanks for your video - more a user introduction than any slick tips and tricks but value to watch none the less.
Saw the S series in the store and played with it. The colors are over saturated and unnatural and almost cartoonish. I'll stick with the Tab Pro 8.4 and the Note 12.2.

This was a wonderful instructional video. Thank you. I was interested in accessing the floating keyboard, but that option does not seem to appear on my tablet. When I bring up the keyboard, there is a key with a capital T on it right next to the / key. When I hit the T key, it brings up options for a microphone/speaker, the T key (I assume to type), the clipboard and the settings menu. An option for a floating keyboard does not appear. Any idea how I can access this feature?

I asked about the split keyboard option and have figured out the issue. Just in case someone runs into the same issue. You have to make sure the Magnification Gestures setting is turned off. To do this go to Settings>> Device>> Accessibility>> Vision and click the Magnification Gestures button to turn it off.
This is upgradable to android 6.0 just read online. The Samsung tab s 8.4 is still way capable even for 2018,the screen resolution is amazing always was. Just ordered it in titanium bronze refurbished from Amazon for 150. I had the Samsung tab s 10.5 but it was way too big but loved the performance on it and features.

Yes, but if you want to use it for gaming is not a good idea, I have one for multimedia support and some documents also rooted and deleted all the bloatware.
You also forgot the mouse controls that is on the tab s 8.4. Like the tool box icon, it stays on all screens for easy access. I thought that was a cool feature. Another feature was the cursor movement by sliding your finger across the keyboard. Another great feature, it makes it much easier to put the cursor where you want it, I always had a problem using my finger in between words to edit words. Most of the time i couldn't place it right where I wanted it. Now I can easily. That would be nice if you added these to the video and shortened up the video. Good job though, I did like the info you gave, just a little lengthy. I like fast informative videos, 20 minutes is too long, 5 minutes captures my attention better.
is there a way to disable the lighted buttons on either side of the home button? I keep accidentally pressing the return button when I use my 10.5" tab s in portrait mode to read

hey everyone , i bought this tablet like 4 days ago and i installed cpu temp app on it and have the cpu temp overlay ON and i can see that sometimes depending on what im doing loading vids or huge amount of pics or installing the temp hits 70~ or so and then it drops , i wanted to know if its normal or there is something wrong with my tablet the back of tablet however does not get hot at all , it only gets a little warm nothing to even notice but the app is what's worrying me if anyone can try it on his tablet or has info about how the temp should be share please can help me a lot thanks :)
I noticed in your video that your soft keys do not stay constantly lit how do I turn mine off, having the soft keys constantly turned on drains the battery faster.
+carlos daniel Having owned a Tab 4 for a few days, the lack of light on those buttons was irritating when using in a dark room. I'm now waiting for this model to arrive, and it's in white. I was thinking it would easier to see those buttons on a white unit, but now I've learned those lights can stay on..problem totally solved!
Could you explain why my Tab s 8.4 LTE version only shows 19 days on Ultra power saving mode at 100%? I was thinking it needs to go back, until I saw that many are also claiming they see 19 days. 19 days --> 49 days is crazy, and I would love to know why. Thanks
My Tab S has become a headache. I had to send mine back because of horrible sounding speakers, and now the courier service are messing me about with the replacement :/ Anyway, the estimated battery life on UPS remains a total mystery. You either get 19 days or 49 days, and nothing in between. Samsung can't even explain what's going on. Maybe it has something to do with OS? Perhaps only applies to LTE versions with 4G? I gave up trying to find out why some get 49 days, and still hope someone will explain one day :( For the record, I can get SOT (video play back ,for example) for the promised 12 hours, can you? I decided there was nothing to worry about because of this.
I got mine like a year ago from amazon and have not had any issues with my tab S. IT sucks That yours is not Working Properly . i usually get about half a day from my Tablet, but if Your speakers are messed up Than you might want to return it and get a replacement. best of luck to you .

Not so sure the speakers are going to be any different, but playing some of the alarm melodies over 50% volume sounded bad. Were you happy with the sound from yours? Yeah, about half a day sounds about right using wifi and doing lots on interaction stuff, but the Ultra Power Saving is awesome if you just want to use it as a phone, and it will last many days, which is great.

Oh well, guess I'm keeping this one. Oh, I bought a case for it from China, only £4.60! Seems to work ok apart from the stand, but as a Samsung imitation, it's pretty damn good and a 9th of the cost.

When it drained I charged my tab . I tried to turn it on but It wont turn on . What should I do ? . Can you please tell me ? Sorry for the wrong grammars if there are any.
Dainnah Jericca Belbider We dont have clockworkmod but we have twrp. To fix the freeze just force a reboot by holding power, home, vol up and down buttons all at the same times and after 15seconds it should reboot. Installing a custom rom fixee freezes.

If you still can't, try updating to lollipop. They put the option of removing magazine on last update :p

You can download an app from google play disable it. Sient boot is the name and it should work without root.
