2:46 No no no! The clip slides off the end. Notice how there are "tabs" on the metal, that's so they can slide up and over the heater. You remove it the opposite of how you install it at 7:30. Even if you don't re-use it, removing it like you did could damage the thermistor.
What? Have you swapped nozzles on any other printers? This is convoluted to swap a nozzle tip. 6mm wrench and a couple of seconds and most printers are done. No cables, no hex cap screws. You shouldn't have to basically swap an entire hot end to change your nozzle.
All I’m gonna say, I’m new to 3D printing and got a P1S, somehow my hotend got filament harden inside and I could not cleaned so I swapped to the replacement hotend (0.04) and (without) any instructions I swapped. To the point: my printer gave me a error code when I started (0003_0002_0001_0001). Bambu Lab sent me a complete hotend assembly. Before I was going to replace everything I just happen to see your video, followed your directions and my printer works perfectly!, thank you!
I am confused. I received a Bambu X1C a few days ago. and I ordered a few spare nozzles for it but you are not replacing the nozzle, per se, you are replacing almost the entire hot end. Perhaps "nozzle" means something else in Bambu speak.
Tip: Don't pull out the connectors by the wires, as tempting as that is, you may pull out one or more of the wires from the connector. Don't ask me how I know.
LOL, I almost feel like could do this (X1 Carbon) but my 80 year old hands say, would be better to just take out one piece and put in a complete new one. Unhooking and hooking wires, we can do.
If you break your thermister when trying to remove its finished and ruined. I believe it needs to be a continuous loop and mine broke. I suppose you could sodder it back together.
The X1E nozzle is not compatible with the X1C, as it is made of different materials that are designed to go to a hotter temperature. The X1E can only have the complete hot end assembly replaced, not just the nozzle.
You can just buy a new hotend that has all those parts attached already, the fan, thermistor and heater cartridge. Then just unscrew the old and swap in the new, replace screws and plug in the wires. Much easier and faster, and they don't cost much more.
The white part is the heater not heat sink !
A great video. Thank you very much. Not even Bambulab has done so well. I will save it for the future. Good images and shots

i love how much easier it is on Bambu 3d printers its SUCH a hassle on other printers

@@ronaldhiser860 the NOZZLE is easy.
hot end is a mess and a total time waster from how hard it is on my old elegoo nep 3
@@ronaldhiser860 Ironically, on the Bamboo A1 familiy it's even easier than with a standard nozzle on most printers.
Whatever Bambu is paying you, they owe you a lot more money! Your videos have been super helpful.
Ha Ha! They don't pay me or anything. I just make them to help everyone. Glad you like them and they helped you!

Use a 1.5mm alan key heat it with a tourch and stick it into the hotend. Let it cool then pull it out. I had to use a vice mine was really in there.

You can also heat the Nozzle from the outside with the lighter, that way it is easier to pull out
Thank you for not being another "complete hotend" video. Very good step by step
Only buy the complete hotends, got it
Great video as always 👍
Perfect, thank you!
Thanks for creating the video I was able to successfully switch over the components to the new Hotend and I’m back up and running.
Does the slicer automatically change speed / flow (optimize) settings once you select the 0.2 nozzle? Im on X1C
You don't need to unplug the printer. The rocker switch on the back already physically breaks the circuit
Chris do these come pre assembled? Ty for the video man 😎👍
Yah they do. You can buy them preassembled on bambus store for a significant upcharge
can we use cpu Grease from a pc?
Thanks to you I changed my bambu ps1 nozzle and I’m back in business thanks so much awesome and very helpful video 😊
Very nicely done video step by step 👍🏼
it seems a bit cramped on mine, with the build plat up. Is there any way to drop the build plate down?
Do this! I just did and it was way easier than in this video.
What should I do if I accidentally pull one of the wires off
Also, I can't see how you got filament plastic up there? The nozzle part is covered with insulating rubber
Great Video thanks!
Would just recommend buy the full assembly.
man after watching this video i'm firmly convinced spending the extra money is worth it 🤣🤣
Hands down this
Yeah, I bought nozzles because somehow I just thought the nozzles clipped in. I wonder where I got that idea.
What’s the point of replacing the fan and thermister if they haven’t failed?
This was my thought as soon as I saw all the extra steps.
Can we get an update on the Bulbasaur project, I’m very interested in what it looks like now
What would change I would remove. The connections 1st.
I replaced the nozzle which fixed my z axis homing problem but now im getting a temperature problem error.

Coming from enders replacing whole hotend seems illigal to me

How do you know?
*IMPORTANT* hey, what if the model is hollow from the beginning only? Can we still change the thickness of the wall later on slicer still??
Why are you all complaining about how complicated this is? It takes a couple of minutes and saves you 20 euro.
This really helped thanks alot 🙂

Wait, are you from Pittsburgh??
just what i needed to know thank you

Clip was in different position at start, and at end of video. I am guessing it doesn't really matter all too much.
Yea good video but I suggest a pair of long nose to remove the cables and for the love of God clean the excess thermal paste.
Great Video! Add chapters so we can jump to the section(s) we need. Thanks!
i personally would of changed the heating element and thermistor. and u didnt put any thermal paste on thermistor

Um, how about how to change it WITHOUT destroying the clip, for those of use who got their X1C's with nothing but the new nozzle, not even a new sock?
Just get the complete nozzle with fan already installed and save yourself a headache.
Ur voice sounds like a young Cole sprouse kinda
Just buy the whole kit. This is just asking for issues.
What about unloading the fillament first?
lol I forgot that step and had to put it back together =P
@@cyka_delik9537 LOL me too. rookie mistake
cheezus, in the whole entire video you couldnt wipe that excessive greese off the nozzle and you put a sock over it, gosh you're messy =D
isn't this the whole hotend? the nozzle is just the tip
It sickens me how many times you said "actually" in this video. We're going to ACTUALLY blah blah blah,,, really?? actually??
no god👎
THANK GOD I PURCHASED THE FULL ASSEMBLY FUCK ALL THAT
I would buy an extra printer with a different nozzle size. too much work imo
