I've seen the movie at least 30 times but even the trailer pulls me in and makes me want to watch it again.
Word!! Very well put together trailer.
Forrest Terry thanks for the compliment! check out my new trailer for Star Trek III: The Search For Spock! ruclips.net/video/IXocIkJJ5SI/видео.html

C'om, where's the other Star Trek trailers. This is awesome! I loved to see what you could do with Star Trek 6.
@@milarc First movie I ever watched in the theater. Much too young to understand half of it but I didn't care.
I can't wait till June 1982!
ME TOO!!!!! 1982
Best comment. lolol
I've seen this movie at least 50 times...and this trailer makes me want to drop everything and watch it again RIGHT NOW!
Bradley Fore I may have a problem.
Me too.
This is my favorite Star Trek movie. I ALWAYS want to watch it again....and again....and again....
Epic! Honestly love them all, even the later installments where the actors are old and wrinkly ;)
40th anniversary, dude. Showtimes begin September 4.
Ricardo Montalban should have received Oscar nomination for this one he was magnificent
Rich Corinthian leather
Absolutely agree. His expressions in this film are some of the best of all villains. Great choice at 2:43.
this is why fans should make trailers, they do them better
I don't want fast paced action of new TREK, I don't need it. What I want, what I need, what I am content with, is just dialogues and themes inducing thinking about life, about us, about me. All this TWOK has, the theme of growing old, finding a new purpose in life, revenge, vengeance, sacrafice, friendship.
BTW I am NOT elderly just because I want the old slow-paced Star Trek, I am 24 now, I just like to think about what the movie/show tells us.
Great musical background on this vid.
Thank you. I agree.
FildasKirk Exactly. :) Check out my new trailer for Star Trek III: The Search For Spock! ruclips.net/video/IXocIkJJ5SI/видео.html

Saw the 3rd film when it came out--first film I ever saw in the theaters. It was good enough for me at 6 years old so this one, when presented properly, can definitely have multi-generational appeal. (FYI, 40th anniversary year. Showtimes so far starting September 4th.)
11 years later and this finally shows up in my feed.
Wonderful work! Just love this movie for so many reasons.
Nice trailer, cool one word inserts in trailer, good music as well.
Still the best movie out of any of the Star Trek films.
OMG why cant you ppl consider this to be the best fan trailer ever..............if you cant, you need eye tests
I regularly come back to watch this trailer.
This is just amazing. I think it's more of a tribute to the film than a regular "trailer", because it reveals SO much of the plot to be a trailer. But the editing is just marvelous.
One of the best fan edits ever made, for one of the best movies ever. Bravo :)
...Now this is too awesome. This should have thousands of likes!
I'd go back to 1982 in a heartbeat ...
What is that music?! Amazing!
So is this trailer!! Lol
"Icarus - Main Theme" by Michael McCann
Nice trailer, but putting spock's death scene in the trailer would've spoiled the film.
The Best Fan Trailer Ever!!!!!!!!
Thanks for your contribution and the memories, Mr. Nimoy.

Dude, that is amazing.
spincity72 dude, you're amazing. Check out my new trailer for Star Trek III: The Search For Spock! ruclips.net/video/IXocIkJJ5SI/видео.html
+milarc Seriously, how much longer do we have to wait for more videos. Don't leave us hanging. You get us hook and then just stop. I would love to see what you could do with The Undiscovered Country or First Contact.
Amazing truly captures the spirit of the movie
This is fuckin great!
That was faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan-tastic! Blew the official trailer and its 80s bad trailer charm out of the water. Ricardo Montalban would be proud :')
Whew, I LOOOVED it. This was my second (and last) movie I ever got to see at a drive-in when I was six-years-old. My first movie was RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK.
THIS was phenomenal and brought back such great memories.
And if I may be so bold, it looks as if you directly inspired the creators behind the recent NETFLIX series, STRANGER THINGS. Their opening credits are very similar to the style you used at 3:29. Anyone else think so? :)
Anyway, thank you so much for this awesome flashback.
This trailer is the AWESOME!
If there could be a rework to the original wrath of khan to meet the expectation of this trailer the movie would be pure indescribable.
Agreed.
This fucking rocks
Denise Armstrong you fucking rock. check out my new trailer for Star Trek III: The Search For Spock! ruclips.net/video/IXocIkJJ5SI/видео.html
Superbly done!
I just noticed that at 2:00 it says "Parmount Pictures Presents"! Oh well, nobody's perfect.
Porfle Popnecker I know....I cringe every time I see it...

Oops...lol. Oh well. :P
This is truly a work of pure art thank you for making it . The Wrath Of Khan is the most rocking movie of all times . The whole movie , cast , and crew should pat them self's on the back for making one of the to me historic movies of all times . The new movies truly makes me mad just look at this master piece and all fans would understand . Star Trek rules !!!
I have watched this a few times, and its an epic in its own right, bare in mind when Wrath of Khan came out the ORIG trailer was a bit naff, but this is the mutts nutts, u gotta do the same with ALL the Movies...........
Paul Le Fur check out my new trailer for Star Trek III: The Search For Spock! ruclips.net/video/IXocIkJJ5SI/видео.html
I named my child Kahn, so that everytime he pissed me off I could yell, "KAHN"!
I really liked this. For such a great movie the original trailer is pretty lacking
Anthony Laviano check out my new trailer for Star Trek III: The Search For Spock! ruclips.net/video/IXocIkJJ5SI/видео.html
Great video, great music too.
Still the best Star Trek movie ever made. I would highly recommend it to anyone. This classic flick is a must have too.
Truly the Greatest Star Trek movie ever....Beautifully Acted, beautifully written and directed....Produced on a very small budget by todays standards... .8.7 million....Just think into the Darkness cost 190,000,000 fucking dollars, if you made Star Trek II today adjusted for inflation that would be around 16 million in todays dollars..
I thought this trailer was too modern for 82 ' . I remember seeing this film in the theater. I was taken back , during the slug in the ear scene for Star Trek . We all heard the rumor that Spocks dies , the scene at the beginning fooled Us .Also was surprised that Kirk got caught so easy like that. and was disappointed that there was scenes between Khan and Kirk face to face , but still came out saying ....Wow
Awesome video. This highlights one of the best Star Trek films ever. Before Star Trek became a source for jokes, making fun of Shatner's acting, red shirts, etc....there was "Wrath of Khan". For science fiction fans, it was our finest moment in cinema :) There's no like button big enough....
THE best Star Trek movie EVER!
Frankly this is a far superior trailer to the original. The only flaw I can see is that it relies on previous knowledge of the film, but that's a minor thing considering that we all now do know this movie already and frankly, this is more likely to get me to watch it than the original trailer. Bravo to you for capturing the essence of the film and getting us excited about it all over again.
Oberonjames Thanks! Check out my new trailer for Star Trek III: The Search For Spock! ruclips.net/video/IXocIkJJ5SI/видео.html
I love to see re-edited trailers for TMP and TUC done in the same fashion, that would rule! :D
Cool ! Much better than the original trailer

Incredible job man!
Damn Good.
Nice to mix in a bit of the score from D9
This is good
Impressive
First things first: Im not really a star trek fan nor have I really seen them since I was a child.
After watching this however, I am definatly going to go through and watch them. Great work!
I realise your comment was made over six months ago, but whenever someone says they plan on watching Star Trek for the first time, I always give them this advice:
If you're going to watch the movies, skip all of the odd numbered ones, and focus on the even numbered ones. For some strange reason Star Trek movies alternate in quality, and no one knows why. Although this pattern does break just before the reboot movies.
If you're going to watch any of the series:
I have no advice for The Original Series, because I haven't seen all of the episodes from it. But if you're going to watch The Next Generation, give the episodes 'Elementary, Dear Data', 'The Measure of a Man' and 'Q Who' from season two a look, and then skip right to season three.
If you're going to watch Deep Space Nine, give the episodes 'Emissary' 1&2 and 'Duet' a look and then skip to season two.
I don't recommend Voyager, but the final two part episode is decent.
And avoid Enterprise.
Enjoy.
Don't skip any of them, odd-numbered or not. Watch them all.
Porfle Popnecker I don't understand this advice: he's unlikely to like them, so do you want him to see them only on the off chance that he does?
Michael Tannock I like them all, so the fact that you don't doesn't necessarily mean that he won't.
Porfle Popnecker Whether I personally liked them or not doesn't matter, because that's not what I based my suggestion on.
Very nice.
Very well done..would love to see trailers for the rest of TOS movies!
What did you use for the backing track .... Sounds great
Best trailer ever!
Excellent remix of the original trailer and more. This is how it should have been. Great job to the creator.
thanks man
KHAAAANNN!!!
Wow! Mind blowing trailer!
ooops came back again, I just love this fan trailer.............
Paul Le Fur you rock, sir. check out my new trailer for Star Trek III: The Search For Spock! ruclips.net/video/IXocIkJJ5SI/видео.html
Evar!
Now THIS is more like it!
The actual trailer sucked.
This is just plain fantastic!
Great choices in clips, and that arpeggiated synthesizer music is perfect at the end. Again, great job! :)
I would love to see you do this for Star Trek three and four. This kicks ass!!
Michael Cothern I'm working on it ;)

Just saw it! Another winner man. :)
I've seen a lot of modern trailers for Khan but yours is probably the best. Fantastic mood and selection of clips.
Thanks man, I appreciate the comment!
That was awesome!
Wonderful!
nice trailer
I thought it was really good until "Love...Hate...Sacrifice." IMO, that made it seem corny
Just found this. This trailer is gorgeous! I loved this movie when I saw it in 1982. It’s still my favorite film featuring the original cast.
You should have kept in the echo of "KHAAAANN!" at the end, as it would have been a more memorable effect
What’s the sound track playing in the background? 👌🏼
Well done! Those who've only seen the reboot would be more likely to pick up TWOK off of this re-imagined, modernised trailer than they would the original.
Chills, man. Chills. I like your 'And the imagination of Gene Roddenberry' credit. Although, he had nothing to do with this movie. Epic trailer/montage, here. Salutes.
Benedict Cumberbatch wishes he could be as good as Ricardo Montalbán!
I agree this is probably the best TOS-based movie, but wowzer it has plot holes big enough to drive a starship through sideways.
What I remember thinking the most when I watched this movie as a kid ( I was seven ) was how fake Montalbans plastic chestpiece looked. And still does.
Wow! milarc you should be producing trailers professionally :-)
This is a great fan-made trailer. You spelled "Paramount" wrong at 2:00 though. Just trying to be helpful.
This trailer right here should make this movie 🎥 worthy enough of a special rerelease to the BIG SCREEN
I thought the choice of music was a good one. Near the end, though (when you have the cast members names appearing) I felt like the music could've been louder; it was almost like the soundtrack was still in "background mode" even though the beats were loud to emphasize each scene change. Plus, there's no talking in that part so it'd be a perfect time to raise the volume and bring things to a high-point :D
Awesome overall though. I wouldn't think this out-of-place if I saw it in a theater :)
A great trailer. I wish this one had been the one shown during the original running of the film.
Gene fucking hated Wrath of Khan so I think it's funny that this puts a "and the imagination of Gene Roddenberry" lol
The only hitch in the movie, is Chekov was not in the original episode of Space Seed.
It grabs onto what we (fans) feel in our gut when we think of Star Trek, before someone in control of the Paramount purse strings said 'hey, it's fun when they have funny moments, let's concentrate more on THAT aspect...'
Star Trek kicks ass. Thank you for reminding everyone.
I just watched this in anticipation of the 35th anniversary showing in theaters and I am shooketh at how good this is! Fantastic work even 5 years later!
This trailer is so badass that it buries Into Darkness six feet under and then pops a shit on top of it.
Far better than the original Paramount trailer, yes.
This is a very good job i editing, but the problem is that you did pick so characteristic music for it, its not even possible to split this song from Deus ex, original cinematic trailer for DE is so great, i cant see nothing from Star trek in it... but still editing job itself is great....
ILL CHASE HIM 'ROUND THE MOONS OF NIBIA, AND 'ROUND THE ANTARES MAELSTROM, AND 'ROUND PERDITION'S FLAMES BEFORE I GIVE HIM UP!
The 40TH Anniversary Of STAR TREK 2 THE WRATH OF KHAN!
Impressive and amazing execution
It might be nice to see a version where Saavik and David speak, but I understand this vision without it.
I don't get the billing for Leonard.
Agree that Ricardo M should have been nominated. A true class act, and there are not many of that type in Hollywood.
I enjoyed it - but if it was about a minute and a half shorter it'd be about the length of most theatrical trailers. Would like to see how it looks a bit "tighter."
The franchise IS...very Alive, very alive.
Got a bit of District 9 background to it me thinks.
3:25 over and over
Love the Deus Ex Human Revolution music!
I'd be very curious to see how many people today would be hyped to see the movie if it were new, and this were the trailer.
Man, what a trailer (although I now know too much of the plot), I'm going to watch this film asap.
Why didnt they update those old old animated sequences with the Genesis effect?
BEST Wrath of Kahn Trailer !!!
thx :)
(not implying that 3 was goofy, btw. Always think of 2 & 3 as 'part one' and 'part two.')
Wow. They should use this when re-airing TWOK on TV.
What music did you use, by the way?
RIP 😔 To All that Have passed away since then 😔
Someone knows how to edit a trailer! Great job!
Whoever made this, please do all the Trek movies and micheal Keaton batman flicks.
