  • Finding a cheap macro lens for Fujifilm cameras can be difficult. The ones fuji makes themselves are quite expensive and even third party lenses are high in price. This can make it difficult for anyone who is trying to take a step into macro photography. The TT Artisan lens here provides just that. A budget but good quality lens for those interested but aren't quite committed to macro yet. In this video I'll share my thoughts on the lens itself as well as provide some alternative lenses. Hopefully this helps!

Love my 35mm f0.95 from them, might buy this just to mess around with macro. Have loved shooting semi macro with the 16mm 1.4

extension macro tube adapters is the way to go XD
though removing and putting them if doing general shooting is a hard time

Hey so i recently my Canon FD 50mm macro sufferd fungus. and i was heavily doubting between getting the PrimeFilm Xas (35mm scanner) or a new macro lens
Yes this video is exactly at the right time.. how do you keep doing that.. 🤔
i love the review but could you go a bit more indepth about the scanning capebilities. How are they compared to the Canon Fd lens? Any improvment in sharpness? maby a comparision?
Also (this is a bit offtopic) at what settings do you usually shoot when scanning with the xt4? (apature, but mostly shutter speed)
basicly i'd love a video about your scanning setup and workflow :)

I'm lucky I guess haha. I've been switching my film scan setup so I haven't all the materials yet but I'll plan for a workflow video once I've got it down!
Comparison may not be available since I might do a giveaway for the FD lens!
Aperture I'd use anything from f8-f11, shutter speed will depend on how bright your light is (preferably brighter so you can shoot at a higher ss)

i've been scanning film and so far it works quite well; as for food or any macro you should be fine! :)

Cheapest option might be to get a set of macro extension rings (not the overpriced Fuji rings) and play around with them before deciding if you want to invest in a dedicated macro lens. 😀
