$150 that is quite impressive tt artisans is coming up behind samyang and samyang is coming up behind sigma & tamron i love it happy to see the smaller companies dropping nice options well worth the price
$99 on ebay
Very informative presentation as usual.
thank you so much for the review on this little gem, im brand new to photography and love macro photography. I'm definitely ordering this now!
Image quality is amazing especially for the price
I'd love to see you make a video of your (current) recommendations for value lenses (say sub 300?) (and any lenses in the near future that you're looking forward to)
Probably would need to be a series by mount
Was able to buy this lens for 103 shipping included can't wait to use for film scanning!
I was thinking the same, how'd it go for film scanning?
How’d that go for you? What camera did you use, what were the results?
This lens (and many others you review) are available for micro four thirds. As a m4/3 shooter I'd love to see how they perform on the smaller sensor, just like you do for full frame lenses
As a m4/3 user, I second this.
Just bought this lens luv it its so versatile . Ditched all my manual lenses for this except my 12 mm 2.8 lol
2:17 well, your hand says it all 😅
The focus ring reminds me of 90's plastic fantastic tamrons

nice video good product do you know the minimum focus distance ??
Hello, thank you as always for your review. I'd like to ask you did you hear anything about RISESPRAY 35 мм f1.2 (full frame) lens or maybe do you intend to review it ? It costs something about 200 Euro.(At the moment it is listed on amazon for 239$)
Any plans to review the 35 1.4 GM?
Hi Chris. One request/feedback. In your excellent review process, it would be good to have a section which shows and evaluates light spread in out-of-focus circles of light (and this particular lens seems to excel in that). Hoping to hear your response. Thanks !!!
I bought this lens a while ago as a walk around lens and occasional macro work. However, focusing at normal distance is very difficult.
por fin dejaré de usar los anillos de extensión. gracias !
Christopher frost would you please post a side by side review of the Sony 55-210mm and Minolta 70-210 f4 I would love to see a review with the Sony A58 and Minolta lens and A3000 and 55-210mm e mount lens
Your review of the 7 artisans 60 mm Macro seems to share similar images with this one
I've been using it more often lately, magnification is similar to my other rig, which is a 55-250mm EF-S lens with 86mm worth of spacers i think, although i have to say, being further from the subject is better for lighting.
There's a modification that should be done by most people trying to shoot macro, the inner barrel tube thingy can be unscrewed out, letting more even lighting to get into the lens and not being blocked by it.
It gets a bit annoying to reframe after 0.6:1 magnification because the image will become magnified as you focus closer, probably due to focus breathing.
When will this be released?
You didn't mention the internal reflections or flaring... I bought this lens for macro and hope it doesn't give me a hard time
Waiting for the review of the TT artisan 50 mm f1.2 for apsc
If you want you can check my video 🙂
which is better between this and the 7artisan 60mm 2.8 macro?
Can you test the Tokina SZX 400mm f/8 Reflex MF Lens for Sony E mount?
man you's better save your money. These telelenses are cheap but ... they have nothing more but being cheap
Have you tried the TTartisan 50mm f1.2? Curious about its performance for my Fuji
If you want you can check my video 🙂
Hopefully a nikon Z model follows soon, I'm quite interested in this. It's a bit big for a walkaround lens (I'd prefer a smaller 1:1.5 or 1:2 lens), but other than that it's ideal for me
They also have some more expensive full frame lenses , great m mount that convert to other mounts. TTArtisan 50mm F0.95 Full Frame footage. ruclips.net/video/JIh9S_O5BQY/видео.html
Really nice looking m to various adapters
rings. Canon, l mount, z mount etc.
@@Photovintageguy Some of their lenses are in nikon Z - I've got the 35 f/1.4, but it only does ~1:10 which isn't quite enough
@@maxhammick948 they have a 1.4 and a .095 for 50mm lets hope they do something .95 in a wide.
Agree with you. I reviewed this lens and I can honestly say i was really impressed by it. I think the image quality is extremely good for a lens at this price point and the build quality is also very solid. I highly recommend it for any Sony APSC shooter
You can get a used SEL30M35 for 150 bucks on ebay fairly easy. While it's not as sharp as this lens, you get autofocus back along with the ability to change settings through your camera which is really beneficial for small, moving subjects like insects.
For static subjects where you have all the time in the world, the Artisan lens with it's superior image sharpness looks like a better deal.
Anyone using this lens to scan 35mm negatives? Thinking of getting the m4/3 version to use on E-M1 II to scan 35mm negatives. If anyone has experience using this lens for negative scanning, please comment. I'm interested if the backlighting would be an issue. Thanks.
Waiting for the review of TTArtisans 50mm f1.2

Does it suck dust inside?
Christopher, would you recommend this lens for 35mm film scanning? I have my eye on it for thar purpose
I'm in the same situation, we'll need to see how sharp is at f 8 and its cromatic aberration
@@hansandroxeselopementandwe6893 I ended up buying a Canon FD 50mm F/3.5 because it was cheap and the seller was local, it works fine at f/8 if it’s useful information for you
@@javixo1997 gracias por la información 😉
Are TTArtisans and 7Artisans related? Like Tamron and Rokinon
Is it good for video like jewelry shoot?
Anyone know if this be any good at photographing 35mm negatives that are back lit?
we want to use it for the same reason
@@hansandroxeselopementandwe6893 so I found that this was not the best for 35mm scanning due to the internal reflections 😔
If you want to get the max quality/resolution out of your 35mm film, at home, use the Nikon 5000 ED scanner.
мне кажется что есть переключить камеру Z6 в режим DX ( если есть только такая камера) то может быть можно снимать на объектив этот без виньетки.
Hello Christopher.
I would like to see a video comparing the handling, ergonomics, ease of use, button placements, etc of all the cameras that you currently own. The technical details like image quality, dynamic range etc are not that necessary. I know you dont do these kind of videos, but it would be really helpful as you have good amount of experience with many cameras
Hi friend, great work! If you had to choose between this one and the 7artisans 60mm 2.8 MK ii, which onda would you pick? Both are on sale on Alliexpress, and now the 40mm costs less than 90$!
I’d like to know the answer to this as well. In the market to start Macro shooting
It seems you have reused some of the audio or footage on the 7artisans 60mm video, odd lol
For 150$ the BQ is amazing!
sirui 75mm please :)
I bought one of these lenses for some copy work, and while the image quality was great, the lens started falling apart after minimal use. This can happen to any product, but the problem is there is no TTArtisan in the United States to service this lens. Imaging buying a Canon lens and you have a problem and all they can offer you is to send it to the country of manufacture for service? If you are a professional - buy a real product with a service network behind it.
I have a canon eos m50 marc II and bought this lens...it was a bad choice😢
0:42 😅😅😆
я тоже занимаюсь фоотопоратом
Can you give me one of your lens, if you like😁
Isn't that '7 artisans' with a stylized '7'?
First!
Congratulations, the biggest achievement in your life, so far.
The resell value of these TT is ZERO!
