I work on a t-spur half my boxes are chewy and I have to throw them on u carts because the trucks are in a different section of the building the boxes always crush each other because of Chewy's cheap ass boxes

If only they knew how many times it had been thrown, chucked, kicked, dropped or even used as a step stool or fell out of the truck between when it was picked up from the shipper to when it made it to your door step. Also fun to open the trailer to unload the packages only to find a fragile TV bent in 50 places because it was loaded under a bunch of heavy shit at the bottom of the pile.
So true! If people ever get an uncensored view of what boxes go through before they reach a customer, they would be astounded.
@@artmoss6889 My favorite when I worked there was to take the letter or small boxes and frisbee chuck them flat to the roof so they shot to the front of the trailer. When you did it perfect it was very Zen.
So many packages get damaged during their time in the truck and during their time in warehouse. There's never a time a package actually comes out completly unharmed.

I used to work for Fedex Ground. As soon as I saw those shorts from the side, I knew it was a real uniform, whoever it belongs to!
I agree. This was a strange angle to take the Chewy video and the ending is over the top. This must have come from bottled up rage from actually doing this work.
It's an old school uniform too, only a few guys at my terminal have them, and they don't wear them very much. Looks like the hat is new though, since it isn't the old Green Ground. And all the little details included, those have to have come straight from a Driver.

I used to work for UPS. This is accurate. My biggest issue was people who order weight sets or dumbbells online. You're getting this thing so you can lift it repeatedly, and literally the first thing you do with it is ask someone else to carry it home. Come on.
Or the dickheads who live on the 3rd or 4th floor and don't want to lug the over sized package upstairs so they order it instead.
Not everyone has a vehicle that can hold a bench or weight set, and not everyone can support that much weight at a single time. When you applied for the job they detailed the minimum amount of weight you need to be able to carry and provide you with the tools to move them. Myself and my bf recently purchased a bench, wasn't delivered to us (we're on the 3rd floor) and we brought it up on our own no problem along with a similar sized (in weight) cat tree.

Same here, I work at FedEx and this is so on point with how we feel about Chewy, and they literally take every bit of credit for our work on these commercials.
Oh my gosh this is so accurate. Usps here can't tell you how many times I have had to go up to the door for a dog toy...
My personal favorite customer instruction is. "Don't leave my package at the garage, take it to the front door. Yes I know I have 4-8 yards of 2-4 foot deep of snow blocking my door, but I want it there."
Best of all I get to double dip with chewy, I get to deliver their adverts and their packages lol.

I've worked as both a package handler and the delivery driver. The word fragile doesn't mean anything to us after the second day on the job. Personally it's not because I don't care, but it's that we don't have time to be that careful. If I'm not fast, I lose my job. If I don't park the truck in the middle of a one way residential street as close to the delivery location I lose my job.
"If it breaks we have insurance for that" is the most common thing said at both positions.
Having worked for that delivery company, that's exactly how those boxes look. Beat up.

I work for Shipt which is a grocery delivery company and I hated the customers who ordered multiple 24 packs of water and lived in a 2nd or 3rd floor walk up. My worst delivery ever was one of these. It was the middle of summer, hot as hell and she orders 3 cases of water, big detergent, multiple 12 packs of soda all up 3 flights of stairs. No help or tip from the customer. Actually she asked if I could hurry up because she wanted to lay down for a nap. Almost quit that day

I work for UPS in the early morning unloading trailers and then I work for FedEx express on the PM shift. It’s insane what you can order online. Refrigerators, full sized barbecues, swing sets, trampolines, dressers, you name it. Heavy ass shit. I’m not a delivery driver, but I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to deliver someone’s treadmill up a flight of stairs just for them to complain and talk shit. Much respect to our drivers.

You either get a box thats like 70 pounds or you get one thats 5 pounds but you're still expecting 70 pounds so you end up literally throwing it over your head because you put too much energy in trying to lift it.

Interesting. About 8 years ago because I tried to help a FedEx driver carry a large package to my house. He thanked me but refused my help on the grounds that it was against policy.
@Vlad the Impaler Yes and no. Express and Ground function pretty differently, Ground being contracted routes so the contractor sets the standards for the drivers in most cases. Know that your efforts are greatly appreciated though, we’ll take all the help we can get and really just the fact that it occurred to you to offer it is good enough for most of us.
