I used to work for Fedex Ground. As soon as I saw those shorts from the side, I knew it was a real uniform, whoever it belongs to!
I agree. This was a strange angle to take the Chewy video and the ending is over the top. This must have come from bottled up rage from actually doing this work.
It's an old school uniform too, only a few guys at my terminal have them, and they don't wear them very much. Looks like the hat is new though, since it isn't the old Green Ground. And all the little details included, those have to have come straight from a Driver.

If only they knew how many times it had been thrown, chucked, kicked, dropped or even used as a step stool or fell out of the truck between when it was picked up from the shipper to when it made it to your door step. Also fun to open the trailer to unload the packages only to find a fragile TV bent in 50 places because it was loaded under a bunch of heavy shit at the bottom of the pile.
So true! If people ever get an uncensored view of what boxes go through before they reach a customer, they would be astounded.
@@artmoss6889 My favorite when I worked there was to take the letter or small boxes and frisbee chuck them flat to the roof so they shot to the front of the trailer. When you did it perfect it was very Zen.
So many packages get damaged during their time in the truck and during their time in warehouse. There's never a time a package actually comes out completly unharmed.

I work for FedEx also. I have one customer every few weeks gets 6-16 Chewy boxes. Another driver showed this to me and I died.
As one who works at FedEx I can confirm unloading those boxes it's a pain in the ass, they always break and are always 50lbs+
I've worked as both a package handler and the delivery driver. The word fragile doesn't mean anything to us after the second day on the job. Personally it's not because I don't care, but it's that we don't have time to be that careful. If I'm not fast, I lose my job. If I don't park the truck in the middle of a one way residential street as close to the delivery location I lose my job.
"If it breaks we have insurance for that" is the most common thing said at both positions.

I work for Shipt which is a grocery delivery company and I hated the customers who ordered multiple 24 packs of water and lived in a 2nd or 3rd floor walk up. My worst delivery ever was one of these. It was the middle of summer, hot as hell and she orders 3 cases of water, big detergent, multiple 12 packs of soda all up 3 flights of stairs. No help or tip from the customer. Actually she asked if I could hurry up because she wanted to lay down for a nap. Almost quit that day

@Vlad the Impaler Yes and no. Express and Ground function pretty differently, Ground being contracted routes so the contractor sets the standards for the drivers in most cases. Know that your efforts are greatly appreciated though, we’ll take all the help we can get and really just the fact that it occurred to you to offer it is good enough for most of us.

I work for UPS in the early morning unloading trailers and then I work for FedEx express on the PM shift. It’s insane what you can order online. Refrigerators, full sized barbecues, swing sets, trampolines, dressers, you name it. Heavy ass shit. I’m not a delivery driver, but I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to deliver someone’s treadmill up a flight of stairs just for them to complain and talk shit. Much respect to our drivers.

I worked for UPS and this made me laugh. I occasionally half assed deliveries, or I signed for people. It was during the holidays so the truck was packed with over 300 deliveries each day.

I worked for Chewy writing their ads and the description of their RUclips videos. Its actually a team of 1099 freelancers doing all the work to make these videos making 18-25 an hour but they all have degrees, but now are all out of work as they could easily be let go and had no way to get unemployment since they weren't full time employees despite working at the Chewy studio 40+ hours a week on these commercials that millions are spent (just on RUclips and Facbook) to distribute.
It's atrocious... but I still hold stock in the company cuz regardless of their policy they're going up in value like crazy
