Took penrith over ten years to get the pathways right and buzz wants the dogs to do it in a fortnight 😂

As above. Also the pathways are as good as they are gonna get. The dogs nsw cup team is top 2 at the moment and were grand finalists last year. Dogs have gone and doubled down by buying some of the brightest names and most promising new coach and still can't equate it to atleast a mid table finish

@@jvvoid we can keep making excuses all we like. Fact is we have had no clear direction for years when it comes to player recruitment and building a team from the spine up.
Money always spent on the wrong individuals year in year out. Best example is tevita pangai on 750k. He was never going to be that consistant enforcer just look at his history. He was erratic at best. Who would have thought..yup this bloke is the right guy for a solid 5 year rebuild?
And now we are in the market for Luai...lol that will do me.

Give him at least two more years, the amount of injuries the club had I doubt even Wayne Bennett or Craig Bellamy would struggle as coach, players like Addo Carr Kikau Mahoney Burton King not going to be crappy players because they're playing for Dogs, their forward pack is one of the best with Toby Saxton they'll be similar team as Cowboy's next year or two
@zillurrahman3531 I don't expect him to come out and do miracles, but they actually look worse than what they did under Potter.
Early days
Seems as though this show is just to whinge. This is a club rebuilding which also needs some recruitment. No one expected the Bulldogs to make the 8 at the start of the year. Add to that all the injuries, why is everyone so surprised? Don't forget, before the injuries they were 3 from 5 to start the season.
I actually thought we would make it until the injuries so I'm not going to judge Cameron. I want to see how we go next season keeping in mind all the players he has blooded this year will benefit us next season. Now taffe and knight have joined and xerri crita coming amongst some other poss signings. This is not worth discussing ATM. He is trying to build a work ethic and systems in place for long term. Any coach could say just go and have fun and we would probably win afew but long term we would just be medioka. Having said all that.... we shall see🤔

Its a poor excuse when the players are being tossed around positions every week with debut's. Biggest rubbish "They can't keep up with the training" when Perham is one of the worst full backs we've ever had but they keep him on and we lose averillo to dolphins because they dont wanna pay him 400k instead of 300k . Nah its not just a training issue , its how the club functions and where they put their resources. We will never make top 8 with this mentality.
Don't forget when there's been injuries the young kids have been over exposed which hurts development

The media always hype up coaches .. As recent examples they did it with Garth Brennan, Justin Holbrook, Adam O'Brien, Craig Fitzgibbon now Cameron Ciraldo yet when things go pear shaped they backtrack and make excuses.
You know what's crazy is everyone was hyping fitzy and ciro as coaches but not one person in the media was hyping webster and in his first season is currently in 3rd 4pts behind 1st

I am 27 years old and been a member since I was in nappies and attended almost every home game. My father whos 58 this year has been a member for close to 40 years. I have supported the dogs through thick and thin. However, if the dogs decide to sign Luai I think I'll be relinquishing my membership. He is not what the club needs. I can't stand the bloke. If the dogs sign Luai our situation will get worse in my opinion. I'd rather get the spoon than have Luai in the blue and white.

I tell you what Gordon is fast turning me off this programme. Hooper is another one but atleast he is only once a week. Tallis makes way less sense than ol Buzz most of the time and that is saying something.

I’ve been a tigers man since the early eighties and I feel your pain. Bulldogs dragons and tigers are all missing something. I still wear jersey every weekend tho but sometimes it’s bloody hard. I live in north QLD so the loss to the cowboys hurt like hell. We can only keep hoping 🙏

Gus Goulds culture. Same at Penrith, a whirlwind in the club. Out with the old and in with the new. Who takes over at the Bulldogs? Georgallis?
The west tigers with mcguire showed that expecting high standards without developing a proper connection with the players first is basically the titantic. Whatever worked at Roosters or Souths may not work at Canterbury and if your methods are sort of ruthless in pushing players out or making them expendable it's got a way of biting you on the arse. If you look at the model that Ivan Clearly has ... players will run through brick walls to get to training, it has to be more than rules .. systems .. players also need to know they're heard and understood for long term success.
There are too many players who keep getting selected that do not try and are shirt grabbers in defence i.e Okunbor, Almoti, Flanagan, Sutton, Topine, just to name a few and as for the captain RFM he's a disgrace and should never have been re-signed for 3 years whoever made that call is just plain dumb as he offers nothing in attack or defence, also TPJ can go also talked himself up and has had maybe a handful of games being at his best another waste of cap space.
If they think bulldogs supporters are going to say that's ok another 2 years at least to be competitive Ciraldo will be gone next season at some point even though he has a 5 year deal.

Every tackle is a teddy grab or hugging tackle that take the defence backwards giving the other team momentum. There is no drive in the tackle meaning you are always on the back foot. Simply really.

A lot of talk at the start of the year that the Dogs would be big improvers. Probably still another 1-2 years away from competing for Top 8. Even then, battling for 7th-8th at best
Keeping players from your pathways is not the same thing as having good pathways, Buzz.
More than half the team has been told there not wanted next year why put in for them
Train or GO HOME. It's an attitude problem for some of the players. The harder you train the stronger your mind becomes.

I remember at the start of the season when all new players an coach rocked up and was being said how they were gunna make the 8 and be a real threat all the rest of it. Guss pumping them up while shitting on other teams form ect.. even when they had a full squad they still got embarrassed. More hard work less talking, defence like a card board box

Rugby league is not rocket science is it? Run your allocated 5 then kick for field position. Play error free and you will have a chance to bomb and mitigate their first tackle. Follow up with repeat sets with kicks in opposition in goal and the points will come right? As long as you do those things you will be competitive and not get demolished every week right?
Nope. Defence is the key, not attack. Defence 1st, errors 2nd, attack 3rd.
The player roster will look dramatically different in 2 to 3 years time so chill out folks. Can’t believe they let Avarillo go though. That was dumb. Buzz’s animosity towards Phil Gould clouds his judgement which is doubtful at the best of times.

A team goes from 'average' to 'good' if they just defend better.

This is the second year of trying to rebuild.
All these average players were only 3-4 year contracts it takes time to clear them out.
