In the middle of such legendary acts. For me seeing James Bay is really special seeing the youngster come out with the legends. I hope I get to be that kid someday.
AWESOME! Wish I could have been there! Hopefully I'll get to see it on TV one day, but that will never be the same as being there and being a part of the absolute magic that filled that arena! Thank you to Mr. Clapton for all he does for others, for his amazing talent he still shares with us, and for all his great friends who also came to give of their time and talent to help Crossroads!!! THANK YOU!!!!
After two days and 14 plus hours in heaven they turned on the lights and told us to return to earth. I am emotionally drained after my adrenal glands were on PEAK PERFORMANCE in take all weekend and sharing it with some wonderful people. I found my tribe!
I've seen 94 acts that are in the Rock n' Roll HOF live, and this 2 day event was the best musical thing I've ever seen. Actually it's me (J Kevin Bean) commenting, not my daughter Julie
Buddy Guy and his Polka Dots=Love him SO MUCH!!!! Did anyone notice him playfully messing with Lang? It reminded me of when Albert King used to do that with Stevie Ray-(called him "young blood")-I have been following J. Lang since he was 15 and was blown away when I realized he is 38!!!! He seems to be pulling away some from his Blues Roots Genre and I REALLY hope he finds his way back, as he is amazing!!!
Earlier in the Clapton part of the show on the big screen you could see the setlists next to the keyboard players. One had Purple Rain and High Time as the last songs. High Time, surely that's not going to be the great Joe Cocker song? It was better than awesome.

@@mbsnyderc I was there. You're actually hearing a pretty accurate representation of the sound in this phone video. The backing band all sounded great, but the sound guys just couldn't seem to keep up with all the guitars. I don't really blame them. This was the largest number of guitars I've ever seen on stage at once. It was bound to be an audio nightmare to sort all that sound out, especially with there being a solo from most of them at one point or another, and also very little immediate prep time for it since it came as an encore at the end of Clapton's set, rather than after a significant break.
@@davidmellish3295 Don't be so sure. It's evident that Clapton only prefers mainstream guys. Besides, he is a Brit racist and is unlikely to invite upcoming black musicians from the circuit. I also don't see other notable blues musicians ruling the blues scene such as Matt Schofield, Scott Sharrard, Josh Smith, Kirk Fletcher, Chris Duarte, Joe Bonamassa, Kenny Wayne Sheperd, Gary Hoey etc. among others.. Only Bonamassa has played in older Crossroads fests among these. It's such a shame to see these guys missing.. They are way better musicians than many other misfits such as Doyle Bramhall II (who's always seen with Clapton only).. Disappointing indeed!
@@mbsnyderc Why rotate the same set of artists and have players like Doyle Bramhall II who aren't really fit for such lineup? Why not invite newer artists who are actively working in the scene to keep the blues alive than many others in this set of artists??

Always amazing ..melodies beyond! human.
Who thought this was a good idea? if you want a Guinness record, fine, do it somewhere where people haven't paid to watch. Otherwise break it up into two or three segments with different songs and complementary ensembles.
It's just the finale. Sort of like a curtain call. It wasn't like that for the whole show, for crying out loud. These shows feature several acts over several hours. It's a festival concert. The people who payed, got more than their money's worth before the finale even started. I guess you've never been to this sort of show? Too bad.
@@actormanic Probably been to more concerts (first one, Cream in '68) then you've heard live songs. That wasn't my point. It was an unholy mess especially if the likes of Jerry Douglas have to stand down at the audience level.
@@mbsnyderc Well, obviously you for one as you made an unsolicited reply to my post. But it's all good, I'm glad you enjoyed the finale as you seem like the type of person who is easily amused.

Why do basement players an no talents always have to criticize and find fault with artists that are in a different stratosphere as them in talent and ability.
I have never. Bringing my feet back to life with this groove. So many legends on one stage. Thanks for the upload, Y u k i.
