    Sorry for the late comment. I’ve been out of town. Another rocksolid video man. Keep it up! It’s incredible that things like this can even be done. I love modern technology. It’s also sad how things like this need to be done in order to play some older games. It would be nice if companies would bring their older games to the modern era. I mean as a standard rule of thumb. Not just one or two here and there.

    • @BelowAverageGaming
      @BelowAverageGaming  2 года назад +1

      I mean in terms of companies trying to bring older games into the modern era, if you have the switch they do already have a Super Nintendo and Nintendo emulator. It's just they only add the games that they want to add to it. But then again it's all digital and when one day when inevitably the switch shop closes those games will all disappear once again

    Dude, thank you! I used this guide after your Tiramisu video to get Gamecube and N64 games up and running on my Wii U! Thank you very much for all the info.
    Note to other noobs out there: I don't think it's mentioned in the video, but for Wii64 don't forget to make a "saves" folder or else your games won't save! Put it in the same place as the Roms folder.

    Three questions:
    1) I know some adapters aren't compatible. I don't own a Mayflash. Will YCCTEAM Wii Gamecube adapter work with virtual Wii?
    2) Have you done a video about converting Action Replay Gamecube and Wii codes into a file that Nintendont will read?
    3) If I'm running off an iso USB hardrive do I need to have all the contents of the SD on there as well?

    • @BelowAverageGaming
      @BelowAverageGaming  2 года назад +1

      Question one, I'm not sure I've only tried mayflash and the official Nintendo GameCube adapter. But there's no harm in trying it if you have it? It'd be good for me to know as well
      Question two, I have not done a video covering that
      Question 3, if you're running off of a USB then no you don't need to have the contents on the SD, I'm assuming you would be using USB loader at that point?

    • @pferreira1983
      @pferreira1983 2 года назад

      @@BelowAverageGaming Yes I would be and I believe I have to use it in Virtual Wii mode. So as long as I have the homebrew apps on the USB drive with the games I shouldn't need the SD card after installing all the apps?
      I have to admit I'm curious about 2). An up to date video on converting codes from GameHacking to run in Nintendont and such would be really helpful as well.

    • @BelowAverageGaming
      @BelowAverageGaming  2 года назад

      Yeah so there's two ways you can go about playing GameCube games, you can go the SD route which will run on the Nintendont application (although I'm pretty sure it can read USB as well)
      Or you can play your GameCube games through USB loader GX which has Nintendont built in, But then again it also doesn't matter there either because USB loader can read SD as well.
      I think the worst case scenario for you is that you just have to put it on the SD but I think it'll be fine.

    • @pferreira1983
      @pferreira1983 2 года назад

      @@BelowAverageGaming Yeah am trying to get USB recognised but no luck. Worst case scenario my games will have to be kept on USB and when I want to play a game I will have to transfer it to SD.

    • @shanez1215
      @shanez1215 2 года назад

      1. It will not, it looks like only certain ones work, maybe because they're closer to the setup of the official one. I have several adapters and the only ones that work in vWii are the official one and Mayflash. YCC Team is neat because it's the only one that's on a single small PCB so it can be used for some projects.
      2. I'm not sure about converting cheat codes but you can apply patches to roms to get some of this. I applied one to Sunshine that uninverts the right stick.

    You put the gamecube games in your external HDD right? For some reason, the GC games aren't launching for me. I put the GC and Wii games on my HDD and the Nintendont emulator files and tiramisu stuff on the SD card. I did the cIOS installer and everything and while the Wii games play fine in usbloader gx, the GC games on the other hand, it kept saying "usb : / games / was not found". I even used the nkit program to convert the files to iso and same thing happens. I'm trying to get the GC stuff to work on the Wii U. When I modded my Wii before, the Nintendont stuff worked just fine though the games were on the SD card.

      @@BelowAverageGaming That way of doing it is not something I want to do for so many GC games but since you can use an SD card that's more than 32GB, as long as it's FAT32 formatted, I'm using a 128GB Seagate SD card to hold the tiramisu mod plus all the GC games and I still have about 50GB left to add about 40 more titles if I don't put in any N64, SNES or Game Boy titles in the mix. The Wii games however stays on the HDD since it works just fine and I'm using usbloader gx for it all. I've also got a gamecube controller port adapter (4 ports) that works.
