  • Nintendont is an amazing piece of homebrew that lets you play GameCube games on Wii and Wii U systems through USB Drives or SD Cards! Nintendont gives GameCube games extra performance and allows for the use of many types of controllers. On Wii systems with no backward compatibility or the Wii U, the Wii U GameCube Controller Adapter can be utilized to give you proper GameCube controls. Getting Nintendont up and running is a fairly quick process and using it in conjunction with a USB Loader like WiiFlow can give you an amazing experience!

    First off, these guides are incredible! Thank you very much for providing these! I have a question about using a hard drive to avoid any performance issues that come with using an SD card. Does that mean I would follow the process of installing Aroma and vWii from your videos on a hard drive instead of an SD card? Or can games be saved to a hard drive and accessed while being compatible with the homebrew stuff I set up on an SD card?
    Edit: Part of the reason I ask that is because I saw another homebrew tutorial that said the Wii sandbox built into the Wii U can’t access the USB slots/hard drive. So does that means I need to set up homebrew on both an SD card and hard drive in order to make use of both Wii and Wii U homebrew?

      @ArchadesGames  10 дней назад +1

      No Aroma and the Wii U stuff goes on the SD card. For games just format a USB drive to FAT32 and put the GameCube/Wii games on it. If you have Wii U games on another drive you will probably need to disconnect it before using Nintendont.
      USB doesn't work only if you use a Wii virtual console injection.

      @@ArchadesGames Oh I see. Awesome, thank you for the reply!
      And ok got it, the games go on a formatted USB Drive. If I wanted to use a hard drive instead a USB Drive would I also format that to FAT32?

    • @ArchadesGames
      @ArchadesGames  10 дней назад +1

      USB drives can be thumb drives, HDDs, or SSD's, it's all the same FAT32

    Do the deflicker options work with Gamecube games? Something always seemed off with GC games on Wii U, but the performance is better than OG.

      Wii U has output issues with Wii stuff that has to be fixed with plugins.

    I have a problem with GameCube games running on USB Loader GX. It takes almost 30 seconds to load. My Wii games load quick. Is this normal?

    Yea Brotha!
    I'm not a Fan of the WiiU Game Pad, but the Games are Killer with a Joypad.
    I forget who it is, but a guy who does a lot of M1 Emu stuff, is working on a WiiU Bluetooth Pad replacement I guess.

      The drive doesn't accept the discs or have the stuff needed for true back compat, but it has the Wii sandbox that Nintendont runs in.

      Later model Wii systems and the Wii U didn't support GC games. Early ones had a built-in GC sandbox
