With Aroma, your Wii U can be used for various homebrew releases, dumping physical and digital games, restoring online functions, and enjoying a slew of plugins to achieve various features. While Aroma is the latest way to enjoy the Wii U, you can still have a second payload of Tiramisu installed to enjoy legacy homebrew for the system like Retroarch! In this video, I will take you through the process of hacking your Wii U and getting Aroma setup with a few plugins and apps as well as keeping legacy homebrew alive with Tiramisu!

Upgrading a Tiramisu onlt Wii U to Aurora would make a good video. It's not hard but the hacks guide is a little lacking. I also had to copy files from the tiramisu folder to the Aurora folder to get games to be licensed to play. Otherwise the Wii U complained about games not being allowed to play because of ownership reasons.
Interesting that you had to copy files for them to work.

I'm from Canada so is 5.5.5 the right firmware for Canadian Wii U consoles? if not, then how do I update my Wii U from 5.5.5 to 5.5.6 in 2024?
Any 5.5.X firmware will work
5.5.6 for USA, 5.5.5 for the rest of the world. These were the final versions.

So far when comparing my HDMI modded Wii using USBLoaderGX enhancements and a Wii U natively to play Wii games, the HDMI Wii wins. USBLoaderGX in vWii is missing the settings that improve image quality on the Wii.
@@GiSWiG Are you talking about the Wii U's lack of full range RGB in HDMI? A moded Wii with HDMI has full range but a Wii U doesn't. Some Tv's have the option to turn full range off and then the Wii U will look just as good as the old Wii.
An HDMI modded Wii doesn't have true RGB 4:4:4. It interpolates since the source is still 4:2:2.
@@ArchadesGames Really? you can google it and this what comes up. "AVE-HDMI mod for the Wii supports all motherboard versions and is an internal HDMI that can provide RGB full range. Full RGB means the ability to display the full range of 0-255" The Wii U Hdmi is limited to 16-235. So yes a moded HDMI on a Wii will look better than a Wii U unless you can change your display to limited RGB.
