  • JSB's (Josef Schulz Bohumin) 8.44gn 4.52mm Exact Aero-dome pellet comes under review.
The Czech company manufactures pellets for many other well known brands as well as a full range of their own. The forums are full of threads about all JSB made pellets been repackaged Exacts or Jumbo's etc...So are the internet forums fact or fiction? Can the manufacturer claim bragging rights for the top spot on the leader-board as would be expected?
The company website is very good and hints at some of the processes used to make the pellets.

Notes for the Video are...The packing colour is for easy recognition in the shops not national pride.

I love JSB pellets. They are consistently the best choose on any of my air rifles regardless the caliber. JSB is a no brainer

Very thorough and professional review! Now use these in 4.52 exclusively in my HW95 as they’ve proved to be the most consistently accurate of all I’ve tested - strangely the much praised Air Arms Diablo Fields don’t seem to suit my rifle at all! Well done and thanks !

Right George, I use them also in my HW's. The Exact's 177, Jumbo's .22 and King's .25. The best pellets for your HW. I buy bulk with same batch number for even better consistency.👍

Thanks, makes it worthwhile hearing positive comments - I'm upgrading my software currently and have another pellet video finished barring the watermark removal. The videos will now show technical drawings, sectioned pellets, long range shots (60y for all pellets & 80y for the top 4 pellets) and much better deformation testing...stay tuned.

I use these with my Daisy Powerline 901 and my Crosman 1377. They work great on squirrels at 25 yards or so. That's the longest range I use my airguns at because I'm very picky about when I shoot a critter.

Funny, I just rushed to my gun cabinet and pulled out my AA Field Diabolos.. And I thought fair enough these are good pellets I've had good groups out at 50 with different Rifles. HW97 being the tightest (springer only for me)... I always though the JSBs were tighter... I pulled ten out of an open tin off the Air Arms and ten out of the JSB and zoomed in witb the phone camera. One of the AAs had a visibly oval skirt, none of the JSBs... All looked.. Well like yours tbh... I kept going and I've didn't find a single skirt as oval as the air arms one. Since reading your review, although my totally non scientific test... It kind explains how one of my older Rifles has the odd flyer, cos I've always thought it preferred generally the air arms 9 out of ten on average being in the black. Since watching this video I've gotta get all needy about this cos I'm now certain since looking closer it's the air arms skirts causing my flyers.... Honest though they are propper.... Aye what happened there jobs hahaha

I've had to stop using these. At ranges over 55yd they tend to get too random for my liking. But worse than that is the quality, I recently had a pig of a week shooting and after checking everything and re zeroing I checked the pellets. They were shocking, if you watch the video again when he moves the pellets around look at the one at 9 o clock...you'll see the skirt is much thicker on one side than the other, this has to cause oscillation in flight. I then checked a brand new tin, same batch and threw 80 away they were so bad....After that and having bought a new rifle I bought some Daystates, I checked every pellet and threw a dozen away, and I was being ultra picky...then washed, dried and lubed them, same as the JSB ones. I'm now happily knocking over our club 75yd targets and getting pellet on pellet groups at 30 35 40 45 and 50yd. Don't let anyone tell you that everything leaving the JSB factory is the same, they aren't.....They were both fired through a Daystate Griffin and a HW100KT, same result.

I don't know and don't understand why these pellets are so considered as "very high quality pellets". Maybe they are ok with some certain types of PCP airguns used for field targets. But to me, using my two springers airgun rated at 7,5J power, they give me medium precision and consistence results. To me, according to my shooting experience, they are like H&N, nothing more, nothing less. What I consider the best for my guns, based on precision and grouping and repeteability of performance over time, are RWS pellets. But lately I had a great surprise shooting the only two pellets made under the brand Browning, but they are made by Umarex in Germany. They are very cheap but in my gun shoot perfectly! never seen something like that!

I recently had a tin of exact heavies in .22. About a third were damaged. I have never had that amount in any tin of any manufacturer before. I have gone back to H&N FTT.

@@passionearmiariacompressa883 3 years ago your gun must have been weak, at it's just a 7.5 joules one. Mine 20 joule gun shoots these with supreme accuracy at 100 meters, 100 yards approx.
