Hey there Peter, I was itching to get those myself! I got lucky with my personal tune. Because at the moment my rifle was shooting at 14.35 PFE. Looks like I hit the jackpot In accuracy, as these 10.03g slugs are grouping less than a quarter of an inch at 30 yards. I was amazed that it actually did better than my preferred pellet, the JSB HEAVIES which have never let me down. But having said this I noticed that the slugs feel tight in my barrel... Overall, at the speeds I normally shoot, I don't really need to go into the slug shooting world, but this little 1.77 slug IS worth having around :-) The groups you achieved at that high speed were really good to at settings 3 and a 1/2.
Hi and sorry for my late reply. The heavies are super pellets. I used them for at long time when my whole setup was based on a lower reg preasure, but after gettin into slugs it just needed more reg. Super cool that you can get the 10,03 gr to group well!!! At wich velocity are you gettin the best results with both the Heavy and the 10,03?
@@VikingAirgunner Peter yes, I believe the numbers are as follows, the JSB HEAVIES 10.34g are hitting 786 to 791fps, while the knock outs 10.03g lost 25-30pfs in flight. I imagine the tight fit would be the reason. I'm thinking that Over time the slugs may wear the inner barrel. So, I think I will still be using the HEAVIES, there's just something so darn satisfying when you can hit a 1/4" diameter target at 50 yards! :-) And there are days when the wind is calculable that at 93 yards I've have scary great results! A regulator is a must for these distances, at that low power, with a 1.77 caliber. Also the Element Optics Helix scope 6-24X50 spf helps a great deal! Stay safe, crazy world out there...
