When I got mine it came with a free Milwaukee portable miter saw stand with extendable wood holders with pop-ups that you could push your wood against and would act as repeatable cutters so that you could cut the same length pieces again and again. I also got a small table made for my miter saw stand that has an indent in it to hold pens, pencils, markers etc. and a flat area to hold things like my squares, tape measure other tools so that I have a place to set my things and it keeps them from getting lost as well! I love this saw it cuts great, I sold my corded 10" Ryobi sliding miter saw after getting this one. It has all the power of a corded one and it's nice not having to worry about finding a power source or tripping on an FN cord. Before I had this saw I used a cordless 18-Volt Ridgid 7-1/4" dual bevel sliding miter saw i have whenever I could but i was limited to an 8" crosscut. With this 10" Milwaukee M18 FUEL Dual Bevel Sliding Miter Saw I can cut whatever I need, it goes along perfect with my Milwaukee 8-1/2" M18 FUEL ONE-KEY Table Saw that I have too together they are the best. I love having cordless tools with corded power that I can take use anywhere!
I use the diablo 50 tooth combination blade, it gives me fast cuts that are still smooth, it's the best of both worlds! However if your doing extremely fine finish work I would still recommend an 80 tooth blade.
Just got this saw for fathers day. After years of using a standard miter saw from another company, this one is blowing my mind. Was a little hesitant about using a battery type saw but Im going to be installing new 5-3/4" baseboards in my home....we shall see how it performs. The soft start and electric brake are pretty awesome, and much more quiet than my previous saw. The LED work blade light is a great feature! I would however like to see some improvements on dust collection.
@@Heddo2200 you wont be disappointed! Ive been updating my spare bathroom with board and batten and the saw just rips. Easy to dial back to zero degree also. The only thing I don't like is adjusting the miter on the vertical. They need to implement stops at 22.5 & 45 degree angles. You have to trust the finger gauge which I don't and check with a square every time. But the horizontal plane miter works fantastic! - Still the best saw I have worked with hands down. - Hope this helps

I live on the Bay in Mobile AL. The last two hurricanes that came through left us without electricity a week to 10 days each. Milwaukee battery operated tools, lights, flashlights and charging features helped me get through the tough times. Considering adding the 18 volt battery miter saw for when the house and trees fall down around me.
I got mine to redo the trim in my house. I got this one over the 7 inch so I could still do some bigger stuff around the house. The 12 inch is a bit much for a non pro
I've used the laser before and the shadow line beats it everytime, it doesn't show to the left or right it shows the exact area the blade is going to cut out and it never needs to be adjusted!
I have the Ridgid 18-Volt 8-1/4" dual bevel sliding miter saw which they discontinued and in my mind was a prototype for the 7-1/4" Milwaukee M18 FUEL dual bevel sliding miter saw and I also have the 10" Milwaukee M18 FUEL dual bevel sliding miter saw and I can tell you to definitely get the 10" saw!
Was thinking about buying this saw as it’s much lighter in weight compared to to the next size up Milwaukee saw (250).. But what let’s it’s down is that it does not have a trench cut facility so you can cut rebates in wood for like door frames , wall plates and even skirting etc .
Not sure which saw you were looking at, but the 2734-21 (which is what he shows in this video) does have a trench cut/cut depth stop on it. You can see it really well at 12:59
@@gregrohde4809 Yes I found it , but It’s poor quality trench cut bolt thing , rubbish , Also the worst thing about this saw is the guard on it catches and snags against timber , really badly . I’m surprised with Trend as they are a good company . I’m just glad my friend bought this saw first and he wish he hadn’t. Both of us very experienced Carpenters with over 40 years experience . I will stuck with my dewalt mitre saw for time being .

I hear people on here getting this Milwaukee for $150, hell you can't get the Ryobi that cheap, I don't think you could even get the Ryobi bare tool that cheap!!!
I just bought it and i had a hard time loosing that bolt to put the blade in it almost felt like it had lock thread lol i had to use extreme force with a lever
The 10" fuel mitre saw I have seems to be stiff when your bringing the blade down to make a cut. Also if you use a really fine blade you notice the lack of power, with a 60 or 40 tooth blade for rough cuts its pretty good. Other than those couple things its great for cordless, I think the Dewalt 12" 60v max is the way to go if you want to do it all and with more power than with just the one Milwaukee battery
You’ll wanna read the manual (hahahahaha, yeah right!) I think that front lock for the slide feature is for doing crown. DeWalt has a clip that hold the saw in a position to just cut crown. And the lock in the back is from keeping it from sliding during transport. I also like the bevel change lever and set detents. Good saw. Will make a better anchor for Tog fishing for me. Later CUZ!!!!!
The new smaller mider saw looks really nice, I think they have a new 10 or 12 inch in the works paired with a 12.0. but at $150 that's a beast of a good deal and saw.keep up the videos.
Vince love the saw but I don’t like the dust collection the dust shut sit too far back but the new makita miter saw has a far better setup with collect about 90 percent of the dust but the only draw back is the weight that comes at 60 lbs which is to heavy to carry around the job site
Tips. Very important if you would like to saw with precision. (avoid torsion as much as possible)! Always choose a Miter saw with a handle positioned in a vertical line above the saw blade. Everything must be aligned, slide rails, handle, and saw blade,it is much better this way the blade will not tilt. Because there is some torsion in the aluminum housing . And choose an engine with softstart on it to prevent wear of the gear and worm shaft. It is very important that everything is aligned. Here are some examples to show how the handle must be positioned above the blade. Bosch gcm 800 sj / Bosch gcm 8 sjl / Evolution rage 3 / FESTOOL KS 60 / HITACHI C12RSH2 / Bosch GCM 8 SDE / FESTOOL KS 60 E KAPEX / Metabo KGSV 72 Xact. (This also is the case with the Miter saw without the slide rails). (If you want). You can test it yourself at home if there is torsion in the aluminum housing. Step-1. First you make a saw cut from +-5 mm deep in to a flat piece of wood about +- 20 mm thick to this with the normal handle positioned on the right side of the Miter saw (the wood it will remain in place until the test is completed). Step-2. Then repeat this by pushing the saw blade down with your hand (finger) on the aluminum protective cover were the saw blade is cased in. Just now only do this without the running engine. Step-3. Now you can see if the saw blade will be positioned in or next to the saw cut. If the saw blade is (+- 0,2 / 0,5 mm) next to the saw cut then there is torsion in the aluminum housing (test is completed). Step-4. therefor it is much better to choose a Miter saw with the handle positioned vertical in line above the saw blade. Conclusion: how further away the handle is from the saw blade how more chance of torsion in the aluminum housing.(don't go for that).

The best cordless miter saw on the market? Not even close! I've had the privilege to use all of the major manufacturers offerings in a professional setting for some time now and the Milwaukee doesn't come anywhere close to the Dewalt 12" or Makita 10" which are far and away to best available at the present time! Go Dewalt if you want the flexibility of corded or cordless operation...go Makita if you want the very best in accuracy and rigidity! Cheers

Got this saw last year, it's been great. Love it. No cables, doing baseboard and all kinds of trim, I recommend you get the Diablo finish blade.

I cut 40 8x2 noggins yesterday and at least 30 today, 40 6x2 and 30 4x2.. I still have 3 bars on my 12ah high performance battery. I use the 7 inch.

This particular saw is a very bad design. Loads of flex on the cutting arm. Too much weight on top of the rails....
