    Bruce always mentions the eye jab. Impossible to defend with his hand speed. I have studied him over my 75 years and have read and watched all his work. I was blessed to see Bruce Lee in person in Washington DC in 1968 at the Jhoon Rhee National Karate Championship featuring Joe Lewis. I can only say he was incredible and so confident in his twenty minute demonstration. Fifty years ago and he is still a legend today.

      @@joebagtas9617 Very special experience in 1968. He talked about his skills to about 200 fans as he demonstrated. You could hear a pin drop when he spoke.. I was fascinated to learn he had a wooden dummy he would practice his finger jab to the eyes. It was electrified around the eyes so he would get an electric shock if he didn't hit the eyes perfectly. Peace!!

      The key to punching fast is simply with his Chi/Qi, a form of energy inside your body, when bruce lee punches or kicks, hes purpose or method is that you gather the energy from your Qi and feel and realise the energy from a particular part of your body.

    i honestly believe that bruce lee was an assassin/ninja of sorts. specifically with enter the dragon, he literally was a ninja in that movie. uses a snake to scare off guards, wears all black to be more elusive, jumps 9ft in the air to escape a room he was trapped in ,and the nunchakus literally made him unstoppable. He was definitely a killer and was known to have a bad temper. just imagine how many more badass movies he could've made or directed. r.i.p. Bruce..

    just going to dispel a few comments i saw "Bruce Lee wasn't a real martial artist he never fought anyone" yes he was his technique here is very good and he studied the arts his whole life thus him being a martial artist. MMA is better in a real fight" you will rarely get the chance to take someone to the ground in a fight, most fights are over in abut 3 or 4 punches, and MMA is a sport, that's why ground fighters do well, because the sport rules allow them to, now, i'm not saying BJJ or other ground arts are useless, but in a real fight you'll rarely use it unless you get close enough to take someone down,which is unlikely since if you were going to take someone to the ground they would react as viciously as possible, with biting and scratching and eye gouging. in reality its easier for someone to side kick our knee cap out of place than it is to get them into an arm bar, and most fights don't have both men ready either. does that mean Bruce Lee is the be all and end all of fighting? no, but it means he has just as good a chance of winning a real fight as anyone else.

    • @SleepyRickyC92
      @SleepyRickyC92 10 лет назад

      I don't fight so I wouldn't know for sure but I think ground games and strikes would all work effectively in real street fights, depending on the situation.

    Think about how deadly that would be in a fight. What if he got Tyson like that in his eyes? Bruce on the street was a very ruthless and vicious man, and he knew how to disable anyone of any size. He was a street fighter. His message was that he didn't fight in the ring because he didn't need the money, but on the street, he said he would fight anyone, and he also warned them that there are no rules in street fights. People left him a lone after that. They knew he was the best.
