Yes, very nicely detailed, indeed. Great use of backdrops and forced perspective. Moreover, the trains seem to operate beautifully. To see those microscopic Hunslets run so well is very satisfying. Most enjoyable video with excellent music choice. Many thanks!
The layout certainly runs impeccably! I think the entire time I was filming (which was quite a while!) I only saw a loco stall once and the operator very kindly repeated the move for the video so I wouldn't have a gap in the sequence 😅 Thanks for watching 👍
Wow a beautiful layout and the awesome detail. I could watch that all day and never get tired of it. The music was great fit it perfectly. So glad you shared it with us. GOD BLESS from America 🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖
what a great layout , love 009 , to me its the best of both worlds , cute locos , all that OO scale equipment / buildings and infrastructure /vehicles you can use , but you have an N scale trackplan and feasible tight curves . whats not to like ! thanks for sharing !!
Absolutely! It's amazing how much larger a 009 layout can seem in the same space as a moderately sized 00 layout. Plus narrow gauge trains just have a certain charm to them that you don't get with standard gauge! Thanks for watching 😃
That’s awesome, beautiful layout, hope you don’t mind me tagging you in one of our posts, it was purely as credit to you and your ballasting video which helped us immensely
Mine too, it was great how they kept trains running in and out constantly. For that reason alone it was fantastic to watch but the standard of the modelling on top of that just make it incredible! Thanks for watching 😃
It's a great selection of locos isn't it! I think a lot of them are actual locos at the real life Launceston Steam Railway - or have visited in the past so it's fairly close to reality. Thanks for watching 😃
Oh no, sorry to hear that! Have you been in touch with Peco/Kato? From what I hear they've been pretty good with spares for these models. Thanks for watching 😃
It’s a model of Covertcoat which is a Port class at Launceston. I believe the real loco gained its tender in the 90s so during preservation. This model is almost certainly a kit or scratchbuilt, as far as I know there isn’t a RTR version…. yet. Thanks for watching 😃
Very interesting Layout. Shame you said so very little about it. It bares a remarkable similarity to your own. Still like the music being used instead of chatter in the back ground although I think I can still hear it with headphones on. Has a nice branch like feel with clever use of back scene and forced perspectives.
It does have a nice branchline feel to it and it's always really impressive when someone models a real life location and emulates it so well. Yeah there is a bit of atmosphere noise in the background, I try to mix it in with the music as the video can feel a bit sterile without it but I avoid any obvious conversations where possible. Thanks for watching 😃
Not stupid at all - Launceston Steam Railway is real place, it's a 2 mile narrow gauge line in Cornwall that runs heritage trains. If you have a look on RUclips for videos of it you'll see that the main station pretty closely resembles the layout 👍
@@sylvesterthorne In that case, it think it'll actually be at the real Launceston Steam Railway next month. You can check out the owners website for future appearances here: richardholder.org.uk/launceston.htm 😃
Great video- loads of tips for scenery. Visited Launceston railway about 37 years ago and bought a sweatshirt!!
Amazing, I really must get down there myself some time. If the model is anything to go by it's a great place! Thanks for watching 😃
009 layouts are some of the best detailed layouts and this layout is a perfect example of that 😀
Definitely and you can fit so much more in with 009 without it looking crowded. Thanks for watching 😃
I love everything about this.
Me too, I honestly could have watched this entire layout all day! Thanks for watching 😃
holy cow that's so cute
009 does have a really unique charm to it! Thanks for watching 😃

I saw this at the Faversham show and was highly impressed by the scenics.
It's a great layout - really shows what's possible with 009 when it get it running well. Thanks for watching 😃

It's a lovely layout isn't and really shows off just what can be achieved with a narrow gauge model railway. Thanks for watching 😃
Lovely layout, captured well, with the perfect accompanied music.
It's great isn't it and the operators did really well with keeping things moving constantly! Glad you enjoyed the music too, thanks for watching 😃
@@ThatModelRailwayGuy Yes, true expert operators for sure.
Brings back lovely memories of family holidays down there when the kids were small! Thank you.
Amazing, they've certainly captured both the look and feel of the real place incredibly well! Thanks for watching 😃
Superb layout! I like the attention to detail and the landscaping on this.
Yeah it's nice the way the landscape flows, really makes it feel like the railway is running through the countryside around it. Thanks for watching 😃
@@ThatModelRailwayGuy Yes that is what I liked the use of embankments and hills for interest
How gorgeous. Lush landscaping and sweet models. Very talented modellers. 😊✨
It's great isn't it, it's always nice to have a railway/layout that looks as good as it runs! Thanks for watching 😃
Great vid - thanks for sharing 😀
My pleasure Ian, glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching 😃

Seems very bucolic. I enjoyed watching this, thanks for sharing.
Yeah it's very pleasant to watch the trains trundle through the scenery. Thanks for watching 😃

No problem at all, really glad you found it useful and it's always nice to see others trying things out themselves! Thanks for watching 😃
I saw this at the LFRM - probably my favourite exhibit!! I love the rolling stock especially :))
Mine too, it was great how they kept trains running in and out constantly. For that reason alone it was fantastic to watch but the standard of the modelling on top of that just make it incredible! Thanks for watching 😃
That is simply fantastic! 😎 Such a wonderful array of locos and variety of liveries! I want to become a volunteer there!!! 😜🍀🍻

What a gorgeous layout!
It's just brilliant isn't it! Thanks for watching 😃
Woah, good to see 009 again. Not to long ago my small England derailed kn a point and it broke the rods sadly
Oh no, sorry to hear that! Have you been in touch with Peco/Kato? From what I hear they've been pretty good with spares for these models. Thanks for watching 😃
@@ThatModelRailwayGuyok I’ll try to
Superb work.
It's a great layout isn't it! It's always nice to see a large 009 layout running well. Thanks for watching 😃
Absolutely incredible 🤝🤝🤝
It's a really nice layout isn't it! Thanks for watching 😃
Perfection...
Couldn't agree more! Thanks for watching 😃
What is the locomotive that appears in the first shots? Seems to be a Hunslet engine.
Correct, it's Covertcoat - the port class locomotive that runs at the real life Launceston Steam Railway. Thanks for watching 😃
Does anyone know what loco is at 6:33? I didn't know they did one with a tender.

Lovely layout with great detail. The only detail missing is that there are no sheep. Narrow gauge railways and sheep are inseparable!
Haha, that may be true for Welsh narrow gauge railways... not sure about ones in Cornwall. Thanks for watching 😃

Where can one see this in operation?
It'll be at The Great Electric Train Show later this year I believe. Thanks for watching 😃
@@ThatModelRailwayGuy A bit too far for me, I’m not far from Launceston!
