- Is Xbox releasing games on PS5 day 1?
New rumors are circulating that Xbox and Bethesda could be planning to unveil a new Doom game on June 9th at the annual Xbox showcase, and that it might be releasing simultaneously on PlayStation 5...
If this is true, this is a signal that Microsoft has their hand on the wheel when it comes to the Xbox brand, as completely dropping exclusivity gives gamers even less of a reason to invest in the already struggle Xbox hardware.

Doom is a legacy title
The only Xbox game I'd be excited to see on PS5 is Gears Collection. However, I will play the Master Chief Collection if they ported that too.
At this point if a game is released an xbox series exclusive it will hurt sales due to the Xbox's poor sale numbers.
The problem with this subsumption is that they told you that but there's a games that were legacy titles would still release on other consoles. Nothing has changed from what they happenounced. Doom is a legacy title? Any new titles would be subject to case by case basis whether it's exclusive or not
They said that Spencer had made the mandate that ALL Bethesda/Zenimax games would be exclusive. This came out during the FTC trial.

@@DirectGamingYTwe knew that wasn’t true due to him also say legacy titles would remain multiplat. Pete hines was mad about starfield not being multiplat because he wanted the bigger paycheque
I doubt it'll happen but that'd be really cool if the new Doom game came to PSVR2

personally I don't think that Xbox should port everything liek Gears and Halo over because those games are what first made Xbox so handing them over to otehr consoles kind of makes them feel less unique
I am skeptical about the new Doom game. The previous were great soundtracks that released with a free game. Since they pissed off Mick I am unsure of the future.
As mentioned by others Doom is a legacy title and the original was also on the PS1 so Microsoft bringing the game to PS5 is a good move for gamers especially those that got into the Playstation console eco system's before XBox was even a thing. Now if they said they were bringing Halo to the PS5 I personally would think they were throwing in their cards with consoles and just wanted to make the games a bit like putting sonic on a Nintendo or Sony Console was for Sega.

There's some games that you shouldn't gatekeep and Doom is 100% one of them
As an xbox fan I think it makes sense to release doom on PS5… it’s kinda like COD for me
I guess Minecraft legends didn't come day and date to ps5 and wasn't city skylines also supposed to come day and date to ps5 but there were issues with getting the game to run on console. Lol you even put in minecraft story mode and minecraft dungeons.
I honestly don’t have a problem with exclusivity dying out I actually wish exclusives would stop but if Xbox is going full third party when the head of Xbox talks about only shipping games for Xbox and Xbox game pass it’s a blatant lie we could have built our digital library on PS and get to enjoy gears and the last of us on one platform so it is upsetting if it’s true
If you had one platform you wouldn’t have Last of Us or Gears.
@@ssj3steve if these rumors turn out to be true that keeps making headlines than yes you will finally be able to play the last of us and gears on PlayStation.
@@Harly206 My point was that without the competition that breeds innovation, these great games would never have come into fruition. Xstation Switch or whatever it would be called would be so bland as it wouldn't have any incentive to make good games since everybody has to own this thing if they want to play A game.
@@ssj3steve The point was the rumors are starting to pile up about gears going to playstation i agree we need xbox to stay console exclusive because it creates competition but thats not my point im saying thats all going to end if the rumors are true and the player base was lied to.
If Xbox does actually give all their exclusives to PS, I will be done with Xbox consoles moving forward. Why purchase both Xbox and PS consoles, as I always do, if I only need to buy one.
You should be done with Xbox by how lackluster their games have been, alone.

They just need to stop calling it Xbox and call it Microsoft gaming. They’ve given up the console wars entirely. Patience until it all comes to PC I guess.
The argument that people are unhappy with Xbox because of Gamepass and Day on Day with PC is just so flawed. The issue is strictly the cadence of franchise games coming out.
But everyone warned fans that Xbox will diminish the quality of the titles and it has. Hi-fi Rush is the best it was going to get for Xbox, and that game didn’t do well.
Everyone kept thinking that Microsoft would just foot the bill, because they’re a trillion dollar company, but they still answer to shareholders.
@@NostraSamus Nah, Xbox has great games, but they have stinkers too. The quality had been pretty good. Besides HB2 and that vampire game, I have had a blast with Game Pass and some of my favorite games.

What used to be awesome is now awful. I don't have high hopes for the new Doom or Elder scrolls.

One title being dictated by the license holder vs the entirety of a platforms catalog being moved. Absolutely doesn’t compare.

WAIT what? chance of 1st party studio xbox coming to PS5 first time.. MINE CRAFT LEGENDS 1st party studio BUT MINECRAFT IS MULTI PLATFORM so it came multi platforms
Doom is SAME as Minecraft.. Minecraft is Multiplatform so its 1ST PARTY but that SECTION of the studio makes Minecraft.. .BETHESDA.. ONE SECTION makes DOOM and its multi platform.. THAT DOESNT MEAN 1ST PARTY BETHESDA NOW TURNING OVER 1ST PARTY GAMES that were EXCLUSIVE 1st time on playstation.

Them releasing Doom on PS5 is caving to pressures from Satya to have the Xbox division make a profit. We’ll see more and more on PlayStation and Nintendo soon, I’d wager.

MS is being the good guys in the industry and is why they will be able to keep buying publishers and studios. Everyone wins when you Share Games and not hold them hostage like some companies.
