Even with normal mags, keeping them loaded doesn't weaken the springs. The only thing that affects springs is change (the actual act of putting tension on or taking tension off). You can leave a mag loaded for years, and the spring won't weaken. I have thought about getting either of those two mags, but usually end up spending my money on more guns.
Milsurp Mike Channel I know, I have 15 magazines loaded in my truck, I just didn't want to get into that argument in this video, there are just too many people that don't know that and I don't want to argue with them. Thanks so much!!!!
Hello EastTexasOutlaws, I have a quick question. do you have any "special/need to know tips" about what and what NOT to do when painting a Magpul D60 5.56 magazine? Or is it as straight forward as painting a 20, 30, or 40 Magpul mag? I have a couple 5.56 D60 mags, and I'm wanting to paint one O.D. Green and one F.D.E. color. I have painted many 20, 30 and 40 rd Magpul mags with great results and no problems afterwards. But I'm a little hesitant to paint a D60 MAG until I find out if there's any "do's and don't's" about painting a Magpul D60 5.56 drum mag. Did you disassemble the D60 before painting it? Or just sprayed it completely assembled? Have you had any negative effects on it jamming or feeding problems due to paint getting inside the drum? Or after having been painted? .
@@EastTexasOutlaws OK cool. I always completely disassemble the 20/30/40 rd mags and mask off the half that fits inside the mag well, and tape up the bottom of mag good and reverse side of the "slide/end cap". I was just worried about the paint getting inside the drum of the D60 drum mag. I figure making several light coats would likely be best to ensure no paint runs/gets inside the drum. I'll give it a try this weekend. FWIW I like the Majik brand of OD Green over the Rustoleum OD green.Majik's color is a just a small tad lighter/more green which works a bit better in my neck of the woods (NC) I find it at Tractor Supply Stores.Nice spraying paint it is.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. The loader came with the beta c mag. I just looked at it and there aren't any markings or branding on it.
Very nice! And that brass did look good, I'll check them dudes out. IM a one pony show, I use a Lee hand loader, one at a time loading,,,but its fun and not to slow when you get a system going. Anyway Thumbs up bro!~John
Cool review, I've never shot either mag but I've always been curious about the differences. Thanks for the info. Oh and that's nice brass that Debit Card got for ya.LOL!

Just paint it, I just don't paint the parts that go in the mag well or the clear parts.
