Personally, I dont care if the IS 350 is competitive or not. Having put a few thousand miles on mine I'd buy it again. It feels solid and reassuring, the tech is tried and true and I'm betting this car will become a sought after sports sedan before long. Surely, it will still be on the road when the competition's GDI turbo 4cyls will be in the shop. Most of all, the IS 350 is simply stunning. I dont need to drive it. Just looking at it puts a smile on my face :)

I know a lot of people like to bag on this car for not being all new and not being quicker, etc. But I absolutely love it! I had a 2011 IS350 that was a really great car and I miss it, shouldn't have bought a truck.
Actually sometimes "all new" isn't a good thing. It may just be my imagination but it seems most all brand new designs released the past 5-6 years are actually cheapened a bit versus the previous generation. In other words, I'm not sure Toyota/Lexus could do an all new clean sheet design with double wishbone front and mutli-link rear suspension (much of it forged aluminum) and still keep their sticker price advantage without cost cutting elsewhere on the car. In my mind the things under the hood and linking the wheels together are much more important than the number of lcd screens and how fast they respond to a touch. May just be me though.
Once again Lexus makes an old-school NA RWD car that isn’t the fastest, but should be nice to drive and reliable to own. Looks great too. Good effort! 👍
I own a 2nd Generation IS. At 193,000 mi, it feels and drives like a new car. No rattles or squeaks, and a blast to drive in the mountains. I hope it lasts the rest of my life. Lexus is King!
My son just picked up a CPO 2018 IS 350 F Sport. It is one very nice car. Black with the red interior. I haven't seen the Ultrasonic Blue, but I have seen the Grecian Water when my son was in the dealer. It is indeed a beautiful color!
That's why I can't get behind the German models with the 2.0T engines, they sound like garbage compared to the V6. That, and the v6 has instant throttle response. Also, those German cars will be in the scrapyard after the warranty.
i have this engine in my RX450Hybrid and i like to haul that thing on Autobahn even with so high mileage. sounds great on low rpm and on very high rpm !! ruclips.net/video/3bSB_TdBA8A/видео.html
This car costs the same as a C300, 330i and A4.... I’d take this over any of those options in this price range any day. More horsepower, better looking and more reliable. The trifecta. Why do people compare this to c43 or 340 when they cost 5-10K more.
I love that they still make this. I would take this over a 3 or C class. Audi is trash. I've owned German and will never own another German again. This will last 20 years. I also heard they are making an IS500 and putting the V8 from the GSF/LC500 in this. Waiting for that one.
Like MM, I mourn the loss of the GS, it was my favorite Lexus outside of the LC. This update is a nice refresh of a proven platform. I am nervous about how long Lexus will keep making this video. If you watch MM’s review of the 2019 ES F Sport, he correctly predicts the end of the GS. I think he’s possibly right in being concerned about what the future holds for RWD inline 6 sports sedans. Hopefully Lexus will continue to make the IS and eventually an ISF.
Every Lexus enthousiast was awaiting the death of the GS sooner or later. The car simply didn't sell enough to be maintained, it was already pulled from several market. Let's just mention that It will forever stay in memory of the jdm enthousiast as an interesting car.
My hope is Mazda decides to put their new Inline 6/hybrid RWD platform to good use in a new Mazda 6. That should spur Toyota into not being outdone by a fellow Japanese maker that isnt even officially a "luxury" badge. Of course if such a thing doesnt sell very well then there wont be a need for either company to offer such. The real truth is this: unless Toyota/Lexus have something already in the works to replace the GS/IS it likely doesnt happen at all and they simply keep the IS on life support as long as they can. Polticians in western countries are sealing the fate of such cars with legislation as we speak, and they seem more hellbent than ever to ensure it happens in a few short years. California and Washington are jumping on that bandwagon, and even if the other states dont follow suit that will mean a lot of sales that cant happen just in those two states. For now I'm just going to rejoice that such a car as the IS still exists even if it's a bit long in the tooth now.
No if you wanna rocket get a crotch rocket. I ride a V4S and IF you want fast that's it. Ive dusted Lambos Ferraris, an R8, a GTR... COPS EVERY DAY i cant stop they would arrest me and impound my bike, i could go on but you get the point...EV's are great for off the line performance but tend to fall flat for passing. Thats a general statement i know you can put it in Ludacris mode and be nutz but not every car has that and still from 100 up you have no chance.
Only thing I hate is that Lexus IS still using the 3.5L v6 from both of my 2006/2008 Lexus IS350....no increase in power after 12-14 years.....that’s sad. At least put the 3.5L TT from the LS500..... (which the LS is on my shopping list)
Technically the old IS350 was faster, Ive read on the lexus forums the 06-07 RWD IS350s were faster than all the is350s after due to transmission tuning
@@kgisabeast mainly due to the weight difference as I believe the 2IS was 3600lbs with the v6 and 3800 with the ISF and the 4IS now weighs more. Or it could be the 10 speed transmission which is more efficient but I noticed if your aren’t manually shifting the Lexus’ it will just off the line from 1st straight into 4th (for 6 speed) or 6th (for 10 speed) which puts you in the overdrive gears too quickly. Especially when most of the power is in the lower gears.
If this car weighs around 3400 lbs and with 311 hp it should drive pretty dang well like the last generation is350. Those were pretty legendary back in 07
Pity we don't get it in Europe. Time to move to a better part of the world... I know it is just a deep facelift of a previous platform, but it sings so nicely.
I'm stretegically waiting what Lexus is going to do with the next generation of RC and IS that have, allegedly, an inline 6 and a specific sportscar plattform shared with the Mazda RX9. If so, I will pull the trigger for one of them. If it was just a very well documented and discussed hoax, I will definitely import this IS350 to Europe. The car is just ideal for our streets.
It baffles me why they wouldn't go for a zf8 speed in the rear wheel drive, unreliability issues not the case the zf8 is just as reliable. Sad really because the driving dynamics are up to par, and there is still a novelty with the NA. Novelty of a slow shifting, transmission in a 2020 sports sedan... eh i'd beg to differ.
It is simply not as reliable as an Aisin unit. I see your point about performance but Aisin is a Toyota company and Lexus would not use ZF unit and also ZF is reliable but not as much as Aisin.
They don't even need a zf8 they have their own fast shifting Aisin 8 speed transmission. It comes in the RWD model only. I'm guessing there is a technical reason why the AWD only comes in 6 speed. Maybe packaging. I wouldn't buy the AWD version of this car anyway.
@@hamsterbrigade Amen. The "F" derived 8 speed is fast enough for a sporty sedan like this. I drive GS F and love it. It is slower compared to a German crazy dual clutch units but I love the connection and the feel. It is fast enough :-)
This is actually a very fast transmission(8-speed) that's what they use in the RCF and its amazing, they even have a faster transmission in the LC (10-SPEED) which has been praised by a lot of reviewers for being fast and smooth, so is the 8 speed, so i can see why they dint want to switch plus you knew it was coming reliability lol
Still a great car and piece of engineering. Where manufacturers are downsizing completely Lexus still offers the mighty 2GR engine. No need to reinvent the wheel, just improve it.
This looks really good. As you mentioned, RWD cars/sedans are just so much more fun! I hope more and more manufacturers keep on doing these. Thanks for this good work and for your love for real cars :)
Rwd more fun but less control than awd, no? Also rwd can't accelerate as fast because you're not putting the power down like you can when all four wheels are spinning
A sport package with bright work? In 2020? Color me impressed, M. the contrast with the blue is magnificent. Kudos to them. You know me, M, I'm not a Lexus guy at all, but I tip my hat off to them for pulling this off. If I was looking for something in this segment, I'd seriously consider it. The one thing I don't like about the new IS is the taillights. Light bars overstayed their welcome & I can't wait for this fad to go away. As always, excellent work, M.
Its interesting hearing the rich folks in the comments talking about buying money pits. I am middle class at best can't afford to throw away money so this is the perfect sports luxury car for me . This is the best looking car in this class bulletproof love it.
Heeeeeeee. Had the pleasure to rent a recent 3 series, and they are f-ing boats. Maybe M series aren't, I don't know, but the IS has tons of handling more than a normal 3 serie.
@@boboutelama5748 was it a 320i? I also tested a 320d brfore getting the IS300. I think the IS was smoother with transitions but the bmw felt more alive. Cause the transmission isnt as smooth as in the lexus. I prefer the smooth lexus but I can imagine people wanting more feel when accelarating.
You mentioned a classic Alfa in the garage... I’ve been looking for the comparison between the new IS 350 F Sport and the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sport or Ti Sport.... Thought that would be a decent comparo. Sure, the Giulia is a turbo 4-cyl, but power figures are reversed - 280hp, >300lb-ft. With driving dynamics being the goal of both of these vehicles, it lends to an entertaining shootout I would think. AND, they’re both beautifully designed cars! A departure from the mundane Germans.

Do I hear artificial engine sound through the speakers? To your question: in 10 years from now, the private Lexus owner will know it was the right choice. If you keep you new company cars for only 2 years, or lease, you would probably always want the latest tech and trends. Both you will hardly find in any Lexus. Lexus always has some "older guy" vibe going and bullet proof but also not the most up to date tech and performance. The over the top Lexus grills alone (which I really, really don´t like) do not fix that. I would choose the German competition, but for a long term investment the Lexus may be the smarter choice for some.
Yea i have no clue why they feel the need to be creative w/ the engine sounds piped through the speakers in an artificial state. That was never the case 20 years ago and i dont remember having sound complaints on EVERY damn car made to warrant an engineering team work on the noise. I prefer the real thing. And yet they have not figured out this SHOULD be done on EV's...*shakes head*
4 years later - 350 F-Sports do have an artificial pumped in audio. On the bottom left near the hood release there is ASC (Active Sound Control) and it’s a dial you can roll from off to full pumped in audio. IS 500 has the same system, but it’s an actual microphone in the engine bay.
MotoMan, as a current 2021 IS 350 owner and former 2016 IS 300 owner, AND whose wife has a 2021 330i M Sport, I have some thoughts. But first, thank you for making this video. I decided to go back to the IS partially because of this video. So keep it up, please and thank you! I will say, in response to the question of whether this car is competitive, specifically to the 3-series, yes and no! In a straight line, it is slower than the comparable 3-series for the money. My IS 350 would probably lose to my wife's 330i in a standing start drag race. However, in terms of material quality and tactility, I would say the IS wins. There are more soft surfaces in the interior, and the 10.3-inch screen is beautiful. Also, I must say the V6 has a much better natural sound than the 330i's four-cylinder. However, I do like that the exhaust on that 330i actually has some volume to it (and no, I don't mean the digital piped-in noise... the sound outside the car is also quite nice), in comparison to the IS 350 which is mostly engine sound and little exhaust. The 330i is a lot of fun to drive, with instant response from that engine, the amazing-as-always ZF 8-speed auto, and pretty nice turn-in. However, the IS 350 is also fun while also possessing better ride quality and more comfortable seats. I'd say the BMW is more fun overall, but the IS is the one I'd want to drive 4 hours in - not to mention, to be seen in. The IS is gorgeous, and the BMW, while blessed with the awesome Portimao Blue paint ours has, is merely cool-looking if not imminently attractive. So, yes and no. I think the IS 350 will appeal to buyers of a certain taste more than the BMW 3-series. And I might add that the technology gap has pretty much been closed between these two cars. Enform Remote now has basically all the same features as My BMW, including checking oil levels remotely (yes!), and the IS now has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. To top it off, my IS 350 isn't fully-loaded and yet still features a heated steering wheel and heated AND ventilated seats, for an MSRP right about the same as the 330i M Sport we have (roughly $49,000). So, I'd say if you want actual performance, especially acceleration, go 330i, but if you want comfort and smoothness, go IS. However, both cars are fun.
@@tony9554 If you catch a deal @ $50-53k its not a bad car. I have a 2016 350 Fsport with 60,000 miles and I've had zero issues. My money would go to the new upcoming TLX Type S.
Why in the world did this car come to market with 5 more HP and a slower 0-60MPH time than the 2016 Lexus IS350?!? Especially when the LS500 has a twin turbo V6 that I’m sure could have easily gone right in there 🤔
I was told in the NewYork tri state area that there was no way I could find one of the 210 GS F sport Blacklines made for the USA. The simple fix was I drove to Virginia and got number 80. I dislike bonehead salesman . But always loved the GS
Few cars that aren’t from GM make me think about getting it. The Lexus IS does it for me and a Benz GT. That car must look so cool at night and it sounded pretty good. Do we know if both V6 sound the same?
Hey Eddy! Can't speak to your question because I only sampled the 311 HP engine. If you liked The Mad Scientist's more practical work, you will definitely like the personality of this.
they do sound the same it’s the exact same engine, the 300 awd will just have less artificial noise pumped in the cabin because it’s more of an f sport exclusive thing.
I wonder if RR Racing could crack these already since it’s the same engine as the 2006+ IS350 since they offer a supercharger kit for them and puts out roughly 470whp on pump gas and about 100 more whp if you convert to E85....
supercharger technically could be installed whenever, but they haven’t cracked the ECU for the 2018+ IS’s with the 2GRFKS engine yet. luckily i had a 2017 so i got mine tuned with no issues.
If it compares to others in terms of the exterior and interior, Lexus has tweaked the exterior quite nicely and modern, but somehow the interior is way behind such as 4 years ago, paused. Interesting indeed, compared to others.
Same car sprinkle some cosmetic changes and viola now we will charge you 56k for a loaded IS350 fsport at the same time we will delete power tilt steering column and memory settings.
I wish there was a more technical explanation between the IS 350 with and without the dynamic handling package as far as the suspension component differences, etc. So far all I have gotten is either vague explanations of the driving experience or marketing mumbo jumbo. I need details! PS I have heard people clamoring for a V8 version of this and after looking at the engine bay, I have no idea how they'll be able to stuff one in there, let alone the business case for it as you mentioned
Everyone that complained about it not having more power that's why they had the ISF. It didn't sell well either did the RCF OR GSF. Lexus could never bring people over them BMW, Mercedes, Audi and the like. Their engine is plenty capable for this car. I want to say 2006 was the first year it came out and ripped. It still does but not when the competition has it beat now by a lot
I've always been a fan of the IS350. I had a 2006 model. But this is just too dated. It has the same engine as 2006 model. In a world where a bmw 340i can do 0-60 in 4.1 and has a full digital screen, it is hard to pay the same amount for a dash, 95% of the interior, and transmission from 2014 and an engine from 2006.
The GS wasn't competitive in its class much like this car. It was left for far too long without any real updates and the competition simply passed it by. You but this car if you like a NA V6 and reliability. There is nothing class-leading about this car. And I wish people would get out of their heads that other cars somehow fall apart at 100K. That's just nonsense. Plus, as hard as it is to believe, even Lexus cars have problems otherwise there would be no need for dealership service departments.
So the good it's a Lexus from Tahara, Aichi. The bad it's gutless compared to my 2008 IS350 with a six speed (mine is an auto) gearbox and 306HP. The reviewer hit it on the head when he says it has no torque. The combo of increased wheelbase, weight and new gearbox has left the car severely lacking in my eyes. Now in order to get the driving experience I get from my 2nd Gen IS350 you are looking at the RC-F. Which with it brings a 30k increase in MSRP. My 08 will stay with me until the wheels are square. Mine is 13 years old and not sick of it.
I wouldnt even be mad if they retired the V6 and just boosted the 2.0 to 300hp. Im sure it would make more torque down low where the V6 lacks. This would improve the 0-60 and drivability. 300hp in a turbo is different than 300hp NA. Just look at the honda accord 2.0T. Faster than competitors V6s.
V6 doesn’t but naturally aspirated does. Less stress on the engine from forced induction and also less parts to break down the road and less complexity.
@@bertito43 beg to differ. A 4 cylinder has less moving parts than a v6. Less intake valves, pistons, components overall because less cylinders and it weighs less. Boosted motors are strengthened and treated with different manufacturing methods to withstand forced induction. Beefier pistons, rods, block, transmission, better cooling. No way a manufacturer would build an engine with the specs of an NA motor. I've had experience building a turbo setup with a home made turbo kit on an old car that had 135k miles on it. It ran 110k miles before the valves stem failed and that was 110k abusive miles lol. Turbo was from a volvo, engine from a honda
Nice review, but I would say I like the 6 speed in my GS more than the 8 speed. Less gears to drop down when it needs and decent fuel economy 22 combine as a sporty driver
I have a '16 IS350 FSport RWD in UltraSonic Blue, with the red interior. I get compliments on the daily with this setup. This is also my 4th Lexus now and you're right, the owner will get tired of it before it gives out. :-) If Lexus upgrades the engine choice at some point, then they'll have my money. Nice review!

My son just picked up a CPO 2018 IS 350 F Sport. It is one very nice car. Black with the red interior. I haven't seen the Ultrasonic Blue, but I have seen the Grecian Water when my son was in the dealer. It is indeed a beautiful color!
Congrats to your son, that’s a hell of a ride. I’m in the market for the same now, a 2018 IS350 F Sport. Can I ask if he’s been enjoying it so far?
Is it just me or does that V6 exhaust note sound great
bud, it sounds epic!!
Sounds awesome, can’t beat NA sound. Even though it’s assisted slightly through the speakers.
I've just reviewed it and get to drive them every other day and the engine note is just something special :D
It’s a really good looking car with decent power and handling that will out last all of its competitors.
Good looking car and a nice interior too. If you're not a speed demon then this is a super nice car to enjoy your daily drive.
MM thank you for giving the GS respect!
I liked it it but it was in need of a face-lift. Too bad that won't happen.
I just ordered one in this exact spec minus the sunroof. I’m 6’9 so I need every extra .5 inch of head room I can get 😂
This car costs the same as a C300, 330i and A4.... I’d take this over any of those options in this price range any day. More horsepower, better looking and more reliable. The trifecta.
Why do people compare this to c43 or 340 when they cost 5-10K more.
I don't think anyone hates the new nose Mr motoman. That's something a lot of people like this time round.
It's still ass
The GS 350 F Sport is the best Sedan ever!
AGREED!
Nah nah my friends. The Gs-F is 😃
I love that they still make this. I would take this over a 3 or C class. Audi is trash. I've owned German and will never own another German again. This will last 20 years. I also heard they are making an IS500 and putting the V8 from the GSF/LC500 in this. Waiting for that one.
V8 is dead in any form
Unless you are keeping your car for 20 years then the Germans are better than Lexus
Thank you! I'm struggling between this and a s5 sportback. Didn't hear you compare this to the s4 or s5. Thoughts here?
Dynamically, I would prefer this . . . design wise, prefer the S5 Sport Back. That said, I cannot ignore the reliability differences.
Brilliant review and information!
Part of me hates that its not more powerful than my older IS, but it really doesnt need it. If you want a rocket, get an electric car.
I landed here by mistake but what do know? I ride an Aprilia tuono 1100 v4 😄. And yes, it's fast
Only thing I hate is that Lexus IS still using the 3.5L v6 from both of my 2006/2008 Lexus IS350....no increase in power after 12-14 years.....that’s sad. At least put the 3.5L TT from the LS500..... (which the LS is on my shopping list)
The V6 went from 306 to 311 😉
Technically the old IS350 was faster, Ive read on the lexus forums the 06-07 RWD IS350s were faster than all the is350s after due to transmission tuning
@@tinhinnh yeah, that’s pretty sad for 14years if progress.
You guys never heard of rr racing huh? Just add a turbo yourself! >
Looks amazing!!
They're gorgeous aren't they :D
This and the Jag XE best looking premium sport sedans ?
How about a RWD Kia Stinger or Genesis G70 vs IS350? What do you think? Driving experience, feel, ect.. Thanks Motoman for the review.
If this car weighs around 3400 lbs and with 311 hp it should drive pretty dang well like the last generation is350. Those were pretty legendary back in 07
Definitely no where close to that. Its a 3700lb car at most.
@@d1sturb3d119 lol I meant to type 3400
Nice review- I have this car and am wondering if switching tires to Michelin Pilot 4S would increase grip and reduce wheelspin and excess drifting?
DA MOST SENSUAL SPORT SEDAN IN ITS CLASS AND BEYOND
@@alwaysiyi272 fair points all around and i agree with you, ig i'll have to wait for next next gen IS xD
Still a great car and piece of engineering. Where manufacturers are downsizing completely Lexus still offers the mighty 2GR engine. No need to reinvent the wheel, just improve it.
I agree with you on the colour combinations , and the red interior and blue exterior looks very good.
Thanks, Ahmad!
I'm looking forward to getting one next year, it's perfect for what it is
A sport package with bright work?
I'll let you guess where they got the idea of bright work on a sports model. One hint: It's in the back catalog in a similar color.
Would this be good small for a 5"11 245 pound person?
Im glad i found u again
Neat and detailed review sir. Pleasure to watch!
Thank you!
Its interesting hearing the rich folks in the comments talking about buying money pits. I am middle class at best can't afford to throw away money so this is the perfect sports luxury car for me . This is the best looking car in this class bulletproof love it.
They're not rich. They're likely living beyond their means and are car poor
Do you still own it ?
Won't drive as tight as your BMW 3 series but it has more space on the inside, drives smoother, and is a lot more reliable.
Can this come with lsd
A jewel on 4 wheels
You mentioned a classic Alfa in the garage... I’ve been looking for the comparison between the new IS 350 F Sport and the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sport or Ti Sport.... Thought that would be a decent comparo. Sure, the Giulia is a turbo 4-cyl, but power figures are reversed - 280hp, >300lb-ft. With driving dynamics being the goal of both of these vehicles, it lends to an entertaining shootout I would think. AND, they’re both beautifully designed cars! A departure from the mundane Germans.
I'm currently leasing a Giulia and I'm thinking about getting this IS when the lease is up
The car is reliable and holds its value verry well...can be zippy with a engine tune.
I Think it's close to impossible to flash a Lexus ECU
@@walidzein1 rr racing tune...gives you what the car should be...its already on my car...makes it a racer...transmission shifts more aggressive engine rpm goes to 7200...etc
Daniel Budimir does the reliability still hold up if you do that? And when it increased the red line does the graphic on the tachometer actually move from the stock redline up to 7200?
@@caglioso the car is still reliable because that engine can take alot of abuse...guys have 600hp on them with high mileage and no issues...the redline does go to 7200...the car is totally transformed to a race machine...look up lexus is350 on track. Very nice car BUT 311 hp is not enough at least 350 hp minimum and 0 to 100 Kmh not more than 5 second In my own personal opinion
I’m 6’4 would I fit in this ??
So is this one rear wheel drive or front wheel drive man? Hit the nail on the head.
Its competitive because of the reliability aspect. Still, I can't wait for the IS500 in a few years.
Who cares about the reliability on a new car? The rest of this car is trash
It's not artificial unless this is a new change. The intake is pointed towards the firewall hence the sound is pronounced but it's all real.
Great review
Side note: My IS 350 is the said silver with red interior. Blue was off-limits since my wife's car was already blue! Iridium is a nice silver, though.
At least they put a limited slip, its still a decent buy
Not a the $55K as tested
@@tony9554 If you catch a deal @ $50-53k its not a bad car. I have a 2016 350 Fsport with 60,000 miles and I've had zero issues. My money would go to the new upcoming TLX Type S.
I find the trackpad is much safer and easier to use on the move than clumsily poking at the screen like a savage.
Why in the world did this car come to market with 5 more HP and a slower 0-60MPH time than the 2016 Lexus IS350?!? Especially when the LS500 has a twin turbo V6 that I’m sure could have easily gone right in there 🤔

Interesting. Is that an RS3 just $800 over to the right?
the front of this car looks so much better than the weird led check marks
Well the aftermarket needs to grow more then. Its been the same since and no one seems to want to even bother trying to crack their ecu's.
supercharger technically could be installed whenever, but they haven’t cracked the ECU for the 2018+ IS’s with the 2GRFKS engine yet. luckily i had a 2017 so i got mine tuned with no issues.
yes it does still compete
No
If it compares to others in terms of the exterior and interior, Lexus has tweaked the exterior quite nicely and modern, but somehow the interior is way behind such as 4 years ago, paused.
Blue black and red was done on the ISF in the past.
If only the power to weight ratio was closer to a 1:1 (375 HP) without having to flash the ECU.
Car looks great
I love the interior but I wish it had more tech
The GS wasn't competitive in its class much like this car. It was left for far too long without any real updates and the competition simply passed it by. You but this car if you like a NA V6 and reliability. There is nothing class-leading about this car. And I wish people would get out of their heads that other cars somehow fall apart at 100K. That's just nonsense. Plus, as hard as it is to believe, even Lexus cars have problems otherwise there would be no need for dealership service departments.
Hey MotoManTV in Canada we can buy a blue with red leather !
Do the wider track, lighter suspension components and the LSD significantly improve the model over the previous model or is it incremental?
IS500 will come
311 horsepower is so underwhelming when compared to the M3 and C Class AMG, we need more power Lexus. This is just a face lift.
Yeah. More power, so you can make an even bigger fool of yourself and get a felony speeding ticket more quickly.
This is not a competitor to an M line or amg line, those are way more expensive
MotoManTV you got to pick your car before the Smoking tire just watched there review on that silver one u didn’t want lol 😂.

I have been wanting to get an older 2017- current IS for a while now, thy look great and will last a long time
I wouldnt even be mad if they retired the V6 and just boosted the 2.0 to 300hp. Im sure it would make more torque down low where the V6 lacks. This would improve the 0-60 and drivability. 300hp in a turbo is different than 300hp NA. Just look at the honda accord 2.0T. Faster than competitors V6s.
The beauty of the V6 is the reliability and people don’t get that
@@bertito43 V6 doesnt mean reliable. The manufacturer determines if its reliable with build quality and engineering
Man, their online configurator has a lot of stupid limitations on interior and exterior colors, if you want AWD. Lame.
I think it needs more power to be competitive
I wish it was a little older world and came with a manual.
A manual would fix the torque sins of the older engine . . . but alas, ain't happening.
Manual just don't sell anymore. Very few buyers are demanding them. Right or wrong, manufacturers go with better sales very time.
Nice review, but I would say I like the 6 speed in my GS more than the 8 speed. Less gears to drop down when it needs and decent fuel economy 22 combine as a sporty driver
Hmm? What Vish Vata mean?

I have a '16 IS350 FSport RWD in UltraSonic Blue, with the red interior. I get compliments on the daily with this setup. This is also my 4th Lexus now and you're right, the owner will get tired of it before it gives out. :-) If Lexus upgrades the engine choice at some point, then they'll have my money. Nice review!
Why don't we get the power folding mirrors like all the other countries
Who else is thinking of just putting a isf motor in this?
11:43 you mean like the Acura A-Spec's blue exterior and red interior? I have one in the garage. It looks great. Ive been thinking about ordering a 911 and id do it in type S format 7MT Gentian blue with the red interior... Its a stunningly good look and actually ive never seen that combo on the 911. I hate black interiors. This is not the 90's anymore. I miss the 80's where we had Red, Blue, Green, Brown, Cream, Gray, now buying an Audi all you get is BLACK with some choice of stitch color. WHUP DE FRIGGIN DO! HATE BLACK HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Looks at Toyota w/ the Supra*
