    Great show guys. The only mark I have on any of my tracks was when my neighbor asked me to help him build a mobile pantry for his kitchen. I was teaching him how to use my TS55. He said he wanted a Festool track saw and maybe a couple of other tools We took a break and I went in to get us coffee. I asked him to wait to make the next cut. While making coffee he moved it to 45 degrees and started to cut. He didn’t move the splinter guard out of the way and the saw took a left turn on the track and almost cut it in half. He was just about in tears. He said he would replace the saw, track and blade. I told him not to worry about it, that I had a spare track, the saw was fine I was sure the blade was fine. Two days later he showed up with a new saw, blade and track. I accepted the track because he wouldn’t take no for and answer!
    I know this is an older show… I usually watch Festool live from
    Sedgeville BigdeeChristo, MinnieSotta by way of
    Cincinnati Ohio

    The encoding is all borked up, looks like it's running at 15fps, very choppy.

    My first Festool saw was HKC 55, which had the 1.8 mm thickness blade on it, so the TSC 55 should be a screamer!

    Does a miter cut affect the zero clearance of the track splitter strip (that was trimmed at 90)?

    Is there a way to make the TS-55 REQ-F dust port less rotatable, at this point is more of a hassle then help.

    Can you use the smaller blades on the corded TS 55 REQ?

    • @jason-hh6lu

      I don’t think so. The HKC uses the same size 1.8mm blades and they don’t fit on the TS saws

      Yes they do fit .

      They will fit but the riving knife on the TS55 will be to thick.

    I am in the US, but use only metric. Is there a way to buy a metric version, possibly through Canada retailers?

    • @Rene-Hernandez
      @Rene-Hernandez 3 года назад +3

      So last year I bought a TSC 55 and I bought the part that has the metric scale and changed it out. Really easy to do and was very inexpensive. IDK why Festool wants to charge $75 to have you send in the saw and do this when it's so easy. Besides, I still believe they should have offered metric scale tools in the US, even if it's a "custom" order. Ridiculous that they got so many of us in the US hooked on metric to just abandon us while they still offer metric versions everywhere else. Should be a special order at least...

  • @royr327

    No riving knife is exactly why I never bought this saw, plus Festool continues to release twin battery saws, with twin batteries but with a single charger. I hate this. I didn't buy the tsc req and won't but this saw either. Insert your favorite Forest Gump Quote. My Safety is my responsibility, but thanks for playing. I love my corded TS55 REQ. Thin Kerf blades are greatly overrated especially when you offset the blade to fight burn marks in your cuts.
